  1. Oh snap, I didn't make it to page 24 where they posted about reverting their decision. My bad, thanks for the heads up.
  2. I was referring to the loss of the various mobility abilities (leap, speed, roll etc) which, from what I've read, they still intend to remove for ball carriers?
  3. Been away for a month or so and just found out about these proposed changes to Huttball and just one question... why the hell are you messing with probably the best thing created in this game's history?? I understand small tweaks to cater for advancements to new skills and abilities but the whole hinder changes are just stupid and taking a whole lot of life out of it. Majority of the current playerbase don't even know (or care?) how to Huttball anyway and I can't help but feel you're just dumbing it down to cater for their inability to learn how to play it properly. Ugh. Please don't.
  4. Very frequent, at most times of the day.
  5. All the best mate, enjoy the special weeks ahead! First born will be dubbed Ptach Musco, right?
  6. This is such a lazy and stupid solution. Actually, I take it back; this isn't a solution at all. So you're actively nerfing PVE tanks in order to reduce the need to skank tank in PVP by... making it more necessary now than ever to skank tank in PVP? The first step should have been slaving guard to wearing a shield. The second step should have been to make shield / absorb work against crits. The third should have been to find a way to make defense useful in PVP. But no, you went for the laziest and least effective solution. *golf clap*
  7. Yeah man, how dare people queue up in a group with their guildmates in an MMO! The nerve! As people who play in our main timeslot have probably noticed, we *love* playing as a guild team. We often have 2-3 premade groups of four running a night. Sure, we usually queue sync, but it doesn't always pop us together and we rarely leave a wz if it doesn't pop us together. We love playing the objective, we nearly always guard the nodes (because, honestly, we rarely trust pugs to guard anything), we nearly always run the ball, collect the boosts etc. We enjoy playing as an objective focused team and generally if we're on comms there's a few beers involved too. Also, if we have some spare slots we often invite other competent pugs in to join us. It makes the game fun for us to have a good team together, solo queue is just painful and lonely at times. And we're not there to roflstomp or farm, we love it when there's another premade or really great players on the opposing side and appreciate the challenge.
  8. Man, the stories just keep getting worse. Charles Boyd: mate, please move on. You completely ruined Revan, the KOTET and KOTFE stuff was pretty sub-par and sloppy, Alliance stuff is *yawn* and now this just feels like a cheap, ****** shock attempt (even if you go double/triple agent on it) and there is a total neglect of who our characters are and what they did in their original class stories. Call it a day mate and find something else to write for.
  9. +1 for fixing, huttballs and queshballs are glitchy as hell now. Also, did they do a sneaky alteration on shadowstride? Can't seem to use it now in certain areas on both maps... if juggs etc can leap anywhere, then surely we should be allowed to stride?
  10. The game's current population size probably isn't big enough to warrant changes to warzone queues. What you're suggesting would probably significantly increase the wait time for a pop. Also, the best way to learn about pvping is from other pvpers with more skill and experience than yourself. I think the mingling of new pvpers and old is crucial.
  11. Your detailed post is probably the best summary on 5.0 I've seen so far, well done mate.
  12. Currently 208 in line myself. I've been away a while, this been happening often?
  13. We had a CS Bot drop in on us during an ops run a few years back (one of the players in our group had a previous issue). He stuck around for group pics, screenshots and even ran around with us a bit while we cleared trash. Total champ!
  14. Apologies in advance for the wall of text! I unsubbed shortly after 5.0 because I absolutely hated it, but recently resubbed to take advantage of the bonus cxp and xp boost in an effort to gear up a couple toons and even level an alt or two. Also, I was missing my favourite game. I’d just like to offer some personal feedback and suggestions, hopefully a dev or someone from BW might see this. Just for context; I’ve been playing for around five years now, subbed from the start and never unsubbed until 5.0. I was part of both a big social guild and a smaller NiM raiding guild that cleared nearly all the content. I have a dozen or so toons, 3-4 that I used to play regularly. For the last 12 months or so I’ve basically just become a casual, focusing mostly on PVP but still jumping into the occasional ops / fp when friends are on. I login maybe 2-4 times a week these days, and play for maybe 4 hours per session. Firstly, as much as I still feel dirty and disgusted by Galactic Command as a primary end game gearing system, during this event it has felt a lot more rewarding and tolerable, so I would like to encourage the devs to consider maintaining the current CXP rate. It actually feels like I’m accomplishing something (gear-wise) again. I’ve even levelled an alt and have started gearing him up too. My primary toon is progressively getting through tier 2. The unassembled stuff and tokens that have been reintroduced feel like a positive step; although I have to admit the system now is much more complicated than the previous gearing systems and it took me a while (and help from a few friends) to work out what was going on. PVE / PVP gearing is different, and always has been. With the current game meta (and it’s been like this for a few years now), tanks in PVE build their toons for mitigation but with higher hp tanks mods, and dps get their accuracy up to 100%. In PVP, tanks need less mitigation, don’t need defence at all, and generally stack on the hp. PVP tanks have been removing tanking mods and inserting high hp dps mods. Some even remove tanking enhancements (not me personally; I enjoy shield / absorb on my tank). PVP tanks also generally augment with fortitude or mastery / power augments, and use higher hp enhancements. Dps in PVP don’t need accuracy. Like, at all. Traditionally, a dps build for PVP removes all accuracy and focuses on the other stats instead. To further this, in previous versions of the game, PVE tanks sometimes even had to carry around two sets of gear – one heavy defence build and one heavy shield / absorb build – as bosses all have varying damage profiles. What you’ve destroyed in 5.0 was something which I feel you had perfected in 4.0; the ability to completely tailor your toons build for whatever content you were doing. It’s still do-able, but it’s a daunting task at best.. I would like to offer a couple suggestions and ideas: 1. GC Crates should drop a gear token, rather than a fully formed piece of gear. That way, a player can use the token to purchase *any* piece of gear they want or need from the vendors. This will go a long way in gearing a toon, customizing personal builds and will also help out in gearing up alts. 2. The new tokens we get from ops and pvp are a positive step, but I personally think it would be great if you re-introduce the PVP mods / enhancement vendors from 4.0 and have a couple tiers of mods / enhancements available to purchase with Unsassembled Components, GC coins etc. I’m not suggesting top tier mods / enhancements, but maybe the bottom 2-3 tiers or have purchasing them restricted to the tier you’re currently in? This, like the above, would benefit character customization for both PVE and PVP, as well as help promote alt playing and gearing. I don’t want to get too far into other aspects, but I wanted to offer a brief response to Uprisings, as you’ve introduced more of them and it looks like the Dev team has some level of dedication to them. I’ve done a LOT of FP’s and Ops over the years, and to be completely honest the Uprisings pale in comparison. They feel like cheap, nasty knock offs with nothing that remotely has the same level of “something special” like the previous group content you’ve created. They feel dull, boring, lifeless and I don’t bother doing them unless a friend asks me to join them. It saddens me to watch my friends repeat them constantly, despite how much they hate them, because "they're the easiest / quickest source of CXP". Its like drinking bad coffee over and over again because there's nothing else available and you need the hit. I’m not sure what the future holds for Uprisings, but I personally hope they either get abolished or left alone in the corner to collect dust. Sorry if this last paragraph comes across as snarky; its intended to just be open, honest feedback. Also, while I’m here, can you please look into the whole Sorc / Sage capping the node via Phase Walk in the Denova warzone? It’s a dirty trick that really shouldn’t exist imo. Thanks for reading. xx /end rant
  15. You guys just keep missing the point... Also, you're yet to announce anything regarding building and modifying a pvp set and the different stats needed for a pvp set vs a pve set (not to mention how pve tanks are supposed to build separate defence and shield / absorb sets for various bosses). You had a great thing going with pvp gearing in 4.0, we could completely customize our toon to suit how we wanted to pvp. You've thrown the puppy down the river with 5.0 in regards to this. My sub ran out today and this new semi-RNG loot suggestion has not inspired me to re-sub any time soon. Try harder please to justify why you took a good thing and made it worse?
  16. Yeah just watched it over lunch. I'm 50/50 on it, wrote some feedback in the dev thread about it: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=906662&page=5
  17. Yeah, based on how 5.1 works out will determine if I resub. I don't really want to leave the game, I love the game, but current state of it doesn't feel satisfying at all. I can assure you I'm not the only one, not sure what you're arguing about. I know what you're saying about historically people always claiming they'll unsub over silly crap, but you can at least acknowledge 5.0 outrage is definitely a little different to previous.
  18. 4+ years full time monthly sub here, cancelled two weeks into 5.0. Never ever contemplated unsubbing before, especially not because of a Expac but 5.0 was a ridiculous change. http://imgur.com/a/WUMU9 - screencapped just for you. 18 days left, sticking to it until I can assess what the 5.1 changes will do. So here is your first of many, many examples, although I get a sense you're just here to be a douche anyways. If you're actually active in game you would have noticed how many names and guilds simply aren't in game anymore and have disappeared since 4.0.
  19. The new gearing system proposed is a little confusing and sounds a tad complicated but feels like a step in the right direction. I think. Something still feels iffy about it. So, pre-5.0 was "Hey collect these, kills those, get that". Easy, simple. Do the content, get the gear. Post 5.0 is now "Hey do these, collect these things, open those things, kill this, kill that, might get that, might not but with those and these together you can now get that, oh and with pvp you also get these which when you match with those and these other ones you will definitely get one of that"? I'm going to let my sub expire as planned in early January. I'll check back in February to see how this is going and consider a re-sub based on feedback. I still think that even with these changes to the new gearing system, historically, this is still the worst I've seen in this game. Just curious, if my sub expires and I re-sub a month later will I get tokens for the CXP gained whilst subbed? Also, will the pvp vendors be selling individual mods and enhancements again to help with character and stat optimisation (e.g. pvp tanks don't need defence mods, will I need to waste extra time grinding for dps gear to optimise properly for pvp)?
  20. I'd really like to believe this Eric, but I personally won't be re-subbing until you guys win my confidence back. 4+ years you've had my support, but have completely lost it with this direction. I simply can't bring myself to believe anything you guys are saying any more, and that last live stream was an absolute joke and pretty insulting. One point I'd like to make is specifically about tanks. Tanks need multiple sets of gear with varying stats on each piece of gear. Back when I was raiding, I'd have one pve set dedicated to shield / absorb leaning fights and another dedicated to fights requiring larger amounts of defence. In pvp, defence is generally useless and you gear tanks vastly different to how you would in pve; mods, enhancements, augments etc for pvp are generally heavier in hp and often replace defence mods for power instead. Essentially, to get the most out of your tank in both pve and pvp, you need to have at least two separate sets of gear both with set bonus. Are you really expecting someone to grind away with this cruddy RNG system to tailor and construct multiple sets of gear required for just one toon? I haven't even bothered touching my healer to even get him one set... gearing my main is ridiculous enough. I get maybe 10hrs a week of game time if I'm lucky these days, it's just not practical for a casual player to build themselves a decent basic set of gear any more. I haven't had this issue at all in the past four years I've played this game, no matter how much or how little time I had to play I was always confident that I could get my toons up to par even with just basic sets. On a positive note, I'd like to commend the pvp team for whatever they did with bolster. It seems to be working better than ever.
  21. I certainly hope so. Can we just let the forums turn into tumbleweed now? We're just doing circles at this point.
  22. Guys, just unsub. I did, 20 whatever days left and done. **** it, let them ruin this **** or let the people who still enjoy it support it. They've clearly shown they don't give a ****, for months now, since they announced this crap. And the stream was just a **** in our faces. Do yourselves a favour and leave. They ****ed us over and they don't care. It's not going to change, and by some miracle if it does then re-sub.
  23. I keep doing the same thing. I see sages / sorcs drop one and I think "you little bastard, you don't deserve that".
  24. I ran a high hp shadow tank with tank armour set, high hp dps mods, high hp tank enhancements and fort augments pre-5.0 and it felt good. Buggered if I'm going to bother spending the time optimizing both a pve AND pvp tanking set of gear. This 5.0 ******** is ridiculous for optimizing tank gear. Even for pve, if you were doing the hm / nim content, it was good to run around with two slightly differing sets of gear for def heavy fights and F/T heavy fights. Who can be bothered now??
