What are you talking about? The meta in 8v8 is exactly the same as 4v4... lol The same things that work there work for arena, aside from full lightning spec. Mercs in general are viable in both settings.

I'm not the same player that was streaming. I'm one of the sorcs that was playing against him. I wanted to highlight this sort of match because this is high level competition present in a game that people often state to have no competition. On a side note, *** is this guy above me trying to say???

*** do you mean melee classes are discouraged?? http://www.twitch.tv/scold_1/c/3818625 Ranged classes have been the strongest classes in ranked since 2.4 dropped, and historically, the bis slots for DPS have been PT, Sorc, Merc, and Sniper. Of course, there are very few of the sorc/merc/sniper but that is a L2P problem. Those classes all deal MASSIVE damage and have great anti-melee capability (To the point that on Bastion, playing a marauder became nearly impossible at one point) Oh, and I won 16 straight solo ranked arena games yesterday. I didn't super queue at all, and played against a ton of decently high ranked/skilled players. Sorcerers are more than fine in solo, if you play it well it can carry the entire arena.

sage/sorc is one of the best DPS classes for ranked arenas or regular 8v8 warzones. Has been for a long time. If you're an idiot, and cant position/l2 kite and still do damage... Good luck, especially in RA. Its rather simple, and quite honestly a sorc played well, not only does more damage than a smasher but also has an easier time surviving if there is no healer in the match.

I think people just dont get it or something. Most MMO's that are successful are going to be in a cartoon style because its easiest to update that graphics style over time. The exception are games like EVE, where the gameplay is not the selling point and rather its the community.

Oh, and if you knew anything about sorc, you would know that tabdotting as full madness results in LESS DPS than actually doing a correct rotation as tabdotting makes you go OOM 10x faster. Yeah kakarrot is a str8 boss in arenas, one time I saw him do like 1200 dps on his sorc and I literally almost **** myself right there it was INSANE. PoT5 teams ARE worse, Bastion teams have been better for a very long time. The truth is that "high" level competition died out on PoT5 in 8's way before it did on Bastion. MvP/DP kept improving while Casual just kept farming **** players. Thats how it works when there is no xserver. If MvP/Breakfast/DP had happened to be on PoT5 instead of PoT5 when arenas came out the result would have been the same. The teams there would have stopped queuing, just like a lot of the teams here on Bastion did after a week or two of being raped. A lot of the "mid-tier" teams that were present earlier on in Bastion arenas were just as good or better than the best teams on PoT5 were at the time, and the fact that those teams never won unless those 3 teams ran **** alts and the such was disheartening. Its not fun to lose, and thats why this game fails. The actual division between highest level and mid-level is huge, and there aren't enough players to make a bracket for each skill level. In WoW, the difference between a 2k bracket and a 2.5k+ bracket is huge, but here in SWTOR the 2.5k's get thrown in with the 2k's and they dont really get to play against an equal skill level team.

yah solo q pops instantaneously for republic side here, I usually hit queue then it insta pops so its really nice, make sure to transfer over multiple characters btw. Best pvp server ever!

Good- 1200 DPS Opfotm- 1500 Tarawar - 1600 Battlebug-1900 Average full length match will be over 1mil, highest has been 1.9m, personally. Highest actual DPS done was a tad under 2k in a very short "lul 4 healers" match. Realistically, you're aiming to average between 1100 and 1200 dps as a good carnage player with no healers on either side.

Sigh guys, you do not understand. I am saying that sorcs need a buff bc they only did 1m DMG each and each took 450k damage so that means that a smasher would have done 2.6m since our healer did 1.8m heals and if you multiply 1 * 2.6 = 1.8+450 I do not understand what is difficult about this, but it is very simple. Buff lightning specs sorc so that they live longer and do more damage and therefore kill more. When they kill more more people will sub because sorc is master race class. Ok? God dam, you guys are almost as dumb as the sword in the box guy!
