  1. It's almost like the Developers don't want us to play alts. Between the changes to Conquest, the new gearing/currency systems, and now no plans to enable skipping tedious content, as an altaholic, I'm pretty frustrated with the game right now. I managed to have 20+ level 75s across both factions that i kept in decent gear. Now I'm lucky to have three or four that are 'finished' with the current storyline. I absolutely will NOT do SoV and EoO on all of my alts. NO FREAKING WAY! Being alt-friendly is one of the main attractions I've always had to this game. I helps keep things fresh and interesting. Being stuck grinding gear on a few characters makes it feel much more grindy and boring...
  2. This post is confusing. It seems to be about Weapons in Outfitter.. and mentions 7.01, but does not specifically say if 7.01, which is scheduled for just a few days from now, will have the Weapons Outfitter? You are just setting yourself up for outcry from the community if you don't communicate expectations clearly.
  3. Not sure how long this has been happening, but it's consistent across using Macrobinoculars during missions such as the dailies on Ossus or Ziost. You can just barely see the left edge of the cast bar sticking out on the right corner, but most of it is off the screen. This does not seem to be an item that can be moved in the Interface editor (?). If it matters, my screen resolution is set to 3840x2160 and my interface scaling is set to 1.1 Let me know if you need any additional info.
  4. There are at least four different possible scenarios for the Ship Assembly scenario. Last I checked, two of them were identical, but had the pads in different locations. They have varying numbers of pads (as you noted). I don't believe this is a bug. There is a guide on dulfy.net that shows the four known combinations of data pads and the associated solutions.
  5. I don't care what the patch notes says, people can still grief non-flagged players by getting his with AoE's (yours or companions). I've seen it happen within the last few days.
  6. I'm having this issue. Newly 55 character took the breadcrumb from the droid, went back to fleet and talked to the NPC... Flew my ship back to CZ, and took the weekly and all dailies. Then did the two flashpoints via groupfinder, then did the rest of the dailies and turned in the weeklies. Titans of Industry is still telling me to 'Travel to CZ-198'. Anyone find a fix for this?
  7. My guild on Harbinger averages approximate 40 years old. The oldest is a 71 year old retired rocket scientist.
  8. I can't take credit for this, but a brilliant guild mate of mine suggested a Jar Jar skin for my ship target dummy! one MEEELYON Cartel Coins! I'd buy it!
  9. Bioware, please please please fix this. This bug is a huge frustration. I have several alts that I run through these weeklies to try to keep their gear up. I can't think of a worse torture for your players than to force them to have to endure this stuff mulitple times in a week. This week, on my Shadow, I had to run through this entire weekly three times before I got manual shutdown to finally update. It's these kind of bugs, that force people to do boring things like dailies over and over again, that cause people to get bored/frustrated and leave the game. /implore PLEASE!! PRETTY PLEASE!
  10. I had something similar happen. When I finished Belsavis and followed the breadcrumb to my ship, the mission said to "Use your ship's Intercom". Without giving it much thought I used the "Holoterminal" instead, which took me to Makeb (I was level 48 finishing Belsavis, so not quite ready for Makeb yet). I realized my mistake, and used the Intercom instead, and all was well. I just untracked the Makeb breadcrumb and went on with my story.
  11. I can't be sure, but I think the OP is referring to the fact that with the grass slider at (or near) max, as you move through a grassy area, you can see the grass 'grow' dynamically as you move around. Grass that is further away is shorter with less detail. As you move forward, the and the game renders more detail, the grass becomes longer. I agree that this is beyond distracting, and one friend even complained that it made them nauseous. I finally gave up and just turned the grass slider detail level down to near zero. It's really a shame. I invested in an very expensive graphics card, so I could enjoy the graphics details at max settings. I guess you could justify it by calling it 'Star Wars Grass', which is obviously a variety we are not familiar with here on our planet. Perhaps the devs could share some of their stash with us?
  12. This stuff is no longer useful in any way, to anyone. My first point would be that the item drops and mission rewards that are given should be replaced in the loot/reward tables with useful stuff (or commendations). But really, the entire Legacy Vendor system, which was developed pre-Cartel market is no longer viable or useful in any way. Some kind of overhaul of this system, where the Legacy Vendors actually sell items that are useful and valuable to people who have high legacy levels would be ideal, but barring that, just remove the items and vendors from the game.
  13. This question has been asked and answered many times. The reason they haven't just increased the number of missions in the tracker is because the game has to track your location relative to every objective of every mission (in order to update map hints, etc...). Every additional mission adds load to the game servers, and the more players on a planet instance the worse it will be. I suggested at one of the Cantina Tours that they allow us to hold more missions on the list, but only actually track a few at a time. Or perhaps to have a holding area for long term missions like the world boss and vehicle missions, that don't really need to be tracked on an ongoing basis. Hopefully some kind of compromise can be made.
  14. so, everyone could fill their inventory with as many hypercrates as their inventory can hold, and unlimited character slot unlocks? etc? Don't hold your breath...
  15. Courtney/Eric/Amber, Please, please please, do your fans a favor and double check your time/timezones on your posts... in ALL of your social forums (forums, blog, twitter, facebook, ... anywhere). Your Seattle Cantina Tour blog post *STILL* says 8pm CDT. The event actually took place at 6pm CDT (8pm PDT). This caused some folks to arrive at the event two hours too early. And considering we were only allowed to stay for a few minutes of Q&A because of overcrowding (and a poor PA system), needless to say the Seattle event was a tad disappointing for me. Time zones have been an ongoing issue on these forums, so please, work to get them right.
  16. I love playing dress-up with my characters. The problem I have is that it's too expensive to swap mods, especially on higher level characters in fully aug'd gear. To Wit; It costs nearly a million credits just to move the AUGMENT'S from one full 'set' to another, assuming just the nine slots you can equip cartel gear in. The MK-9 kits run ~70k on my server (it's not cheaper to craft them, at least not in bulk), plus 9225 credits per augment to rip them, plus 36k per augment to insert it into the new item, multiplied times eight or nine slots.. not something you can afford to do very often, especially if you are an alt-aholic like me. Edit: To empasize that this is just for the augments. The cost to rip out Artifact 66 Armoring/Mod/Enhancement is another 30k per slot in addition to the cost of augments/kits. The total to move a full set of Artifact 66 Armoring/Mod/Enhancement and Augments to a new set of armor is approximately 1.2 million credits I understand the reasons behind charging people to swap armorings, enhancements and mods, and the need for credit sinks. In this case however, you are inhibiting (or discouraging?) people from being creative using cartel armor purchased with real money. Solution: How about a kiosk or terminal (or even an NPC?) similar to a mod station that you could insert a fully modded cartel market chest item (as an example), and an empty cartel chest item, and it would swap all of the mods and augments (including the augment slot!) into the new piece of gear, and return the old one empty (both would be bound). You could restrict it to only cartel market items, which would still leave all other types of moddable gear, and the augments in the implants, ears, and relics, for the crafters to still be in demand for augments and kits. You could charge a one time fee, either in credits or coins, for the transfer. The Benefits: People would be more inclined to experiment with different looks, and thus be more likely to 'collect' more cartel armor. The Downsides (I can think of): Cost to develop, deploy and support, and a small hit that aug kit crafters might take. I doubt there would be a dramatic reduction in demand for kits though, as this would be encouraging people to do something they probably wern't inclinded to do often anyway. Not only that, but no one (on my server) is making any money selling aug kits anyway, as the profit margin is at or near zero on most days.
  17. I had this happen too. Didn't they screw this up with HK-51 as well? Why would I need two identical sets of level 10 gear?
  18. I'm definitely looking forward to this. I do have one question though The event is in Seattle, which is on PDT right now, but you list the time as 8-11PM CDT. I believe this converts to 6pm to 9pm on the 31st? Could you please confirm that this is correct?
  19. Bioware almost certainly already has damage parsing tools that the combat dev teams use every day in their jobs. "Taking over" a third party site that has limited and redundant value to the developers would not be a good use of their resources. There are a lot of things that would improve the user experience in the game. Things like improving and adding more variety to the UI, supporting some limited command macro capability (not to allow automated game play, just to add flexibility to the UI), and making more information about what is going on server side in combat would all be useful. I just don't see them prioritizing these things over adding more content.
  20. This is not new. It has happened to me dozens of times over the last several months, and it is not isolated to warzones, as I never do them. For me, when it happens, it's usually following an instance change. Unfortunately, it happens rarely enough that I don't have any real data to help with, other than what I stated above.
  21. Re; allowing F2P to post to these forums, I vote "NO!". They are mostly a cesspool of negativism already. Allowing F2P players to post would only serve to reduce the signal to noise ratio further. With that said, something does need to be done about the 'HOW DO I GET MY ADVANCED CLASS"? problem, form a tutorial perspective. Anyone who has spent any amount of time watching Fleet general chat knows that this is a problem. New players asking questions about 'Where do I get my 2nd lightsaber?", "How do I become Sentinel/Marauder?", etc... It's been a while since I faced this question (I haven't leveled a new alt in quite a long time), but it's apparent to me that something needs to be done to smooth this over (i.e. make it easier) for the first time player. Allowing F2P to post in the forums is NOT the solution. Improving the in game starter player tutorial, especially at the Advanced Class transition point, IS the solution.
  22. I would submit as anecdotal evidence that I would have spent far more money on cartel coins as a way to acquire more complete 'sets' of gear (as part of the collections mechanism), only if I didn't have to pay a half a million credits every time I go for a new look. I have 12 characters at 55 in fully aug'd 72's, and four more that in various states of leveling. Playing dress up with my characters (refreshing their looks to suit their personalities) has breathed new life into the game for me. There is just no way to justify the expense it costs to change them very often. Thusly, I've pretty much ignored the collections system for the most part. It's only something I do on lower level alts. Once they get to the stage of having Mk-9 augs and 72s in every slot, the dress-up game has to stop.
  23. My suggestion to deal with this would be to move any characters that are on *ACCOUNTS* that have been idle for a given period (12 months?) to an archive of some kind, freeing up the names to be re-used. If the player returns at a later date, when the pull their characters back from the archive, they will be forced to rename at that time. As far as Military duty (or family member), or other legitimate reasons to being away, a simple email to CS requesting that their account be flagged "DO NOT ARCHIVE" should suffice to hold those names in those circumstances.
  24. Until this gets fixed, don't be afraid to uncheck 'Hide Head Slot' on your companion character sheet.
  25. I really don't see what people are so upset about. It's obvious to all of us that the primary source of income for future content development is the Cartel Market. I would not be surprised at all to see story content of various types being released through the Cartel Market, including , but not limited to, access to new planets, flashpoints, operations, etc... The days of subscription funded video games are over. Deal with it. For all of you people demanding you get some thing for free, get over yourselves.
