  1. If there were an in-game Galactic Senate, that proposed in-game rules/laws/changes and allowed people to vote on them on certain planets or by completing certain tasks, I think that would really mobilize the community to get behind things that they believe are important.
  2. There were 7 guys hitting you at once...of course that will happen.
  3. You can make over 1,000,000 credits in 3 days of doing dailies at lvl 50.
  4. I think the OP is talking about the "Poison.." errr whatever daily on Illum. There are elite mobs all over the mission area and one Pub can stand among them (because the mobs are republic npcs) and then send their companion out to attack any imp's companion that might be in that area trying to do the daily. What happens is, that imp's companion is pulled into about 15 elites and other mobs, aggroing them all onto you and your party. This allows one republic player on a PvP or PvE server to potentially take out an 8-man ops group of imps (by then kiting all the other party's companions further into additional elite mobs) trying to do a HEROIC+2 daily mission. This makes the mission totally worthless/impossible to do. I understand PvPing ppl who are trying to do missions in a PvP area, but this is simply not the case. The OP has a legit argument here.
  5. Good to see that I could possibly have "FULL ACCESS" to "DEATH" if I pay some money...
  6. This is exactly what I thought after I beat World of Warcraft.
  7. ^ Agree - dead people certainly cannot update their Wiki pages.
  8. It's not about simply "finishing" this event. There are REWARDS, the aquisition of which cost a LOT of tokens! Running this event one time straight through in 2 hours may barely get you the speeder (200 tokens), but nothing else. Then, you have to run around looting boxes unless you have alts high enough level to do it again, which takes HOURS to get the tokens required to purchase the weapons, pet and outfit parts.
  9. I agree with you as well - combine this with the fact that the last quest didn't even OPEN until Friday. I completed this event on my lvl 50 and got the speeder, but I wanted to loot the boxes enough to get the sandpeople outfit or pet - I didn't know when this event would end, but jeez, I thought it would have lasted longer. Seems impossible for one toon to get all the rewards - pet, speeder, weapon, and outfit. Maybe this event was for the "hardcore" (i.e., their lives revolve around swtor) players. Lame...many players love star wars and swtor and I think that this event pissed off more people than made happy...
  10. I think that's more conclusive proof that more players prefer dual sabers to a gun.
  11. You don't have to read this thread BW, ppl that think Ops are bad dps are baddies that can't play an Operative
  12. Why not just an addon that chooses the appropriate spell for you, when you left click? Then you can use just one mouse button to raid. Why not then install another addon that mouse-clicks the portraits for you? Why not go to youtube and watch videos of people raiding?
  13. I logged in the other day and Dr. Lokin returned with a birthright leggings construction kit. I was surprised. Has this happened to any of you?
  14. I think he addressed it by mentioning this: "Unrelated to the tiebreaker changes (but also exciting), we've made a change to the Hangar inside Voidstar to help prevent stalemates inside the first room. We've added a broken fence down a portion of the middle of the room, which obstructs movement but not vision. The intended result is that the defenders have to commit to defend one side or the other, and can't float between both doors quite so easily."
  15. Future game updates (maybe it's in 1.3, but I'm not sure) will allow you to chose where you get your XP from the most when you play (e.g., warzones, missions, space mission, etc) and this should balance out some of the issues because you will not out-level planets as easily with a character that is configured to get the highest amount of XP from PvP or space missions. If a planet is getting too easy for you - go into the heroic areas and do the harder missions. Some of them are impossible to solo even if you are 4-5 levels too high for the planet. Another thing that I like to do on planets that I have out-leveled is to collect badges for gear for my companions and/or farm materials or gear for my alts. If you stay on a planet that you have out-leveled, your character will basically stop leveling until you move on to a higher level planet. This occurs about 3 levels above the recommended planet level. I find that staying on these planets longer allows me to also send all my companions out (when I have only 3) and just solo mobs companionless. Also, I can level up crafting skills and get all my companions caught up to me before I leave the planet. There is a lot to explore, and uncovering all the dailies, lore objects, etc. on planets you have out-leveled can be fun as well. Bioware's strategy seems to be to have more content than one toon needs to level to allow you to take different paths and do different missions to level. I agree with this stragegy because it is an incentive to create alts, which I like to do. Some people don't like this. Some people also don't like Star Wars.
  16. It helps you group with people of your faction (your allies) more easily.
  17. Choices affect lightside/darkside - and honestly, most of the choices, if you made them in real life would matter as much as they do in this game. With billions of people in the galaxy, and you shoot one guy's mom or something, you expect to run into that person again? However, your companion remembers the choice and it may also affect your light/dark alignment. I think that getting mail from someone you helped is closer to real people interaction. Hell, some of the people you help end up companions for life in SWTOR The story would be so lame if even 60% of the people you interact with end up all being tied into the same story - you'd end up with "LOST" (TV show) plotlines in an MMO and that would be super-lame.
  18. You're right, after the first 5 months all players of SWTOR joined and not only that, they all created all the alts they wanted. Now that no new players can play SWTOR after the first 5 months, no one will ever use legacy.
