  1. New armor sets, not just the same armor with different colors. Imp and Pub Trooper armor sets new ones with more variations Imp Red Guard sets Imp and Pub Pilot Sets Bionic replacement for limbs Just basic sets that should of been included in the game from the begining. The moddable Outfits should also scale a little better so more people would use them. Not many people use them because of the fact they dont scale well with level like the rest of the higher armor sets you buy.
  2. Agreed, if it costs to mod gear at the mod station and it's the same price to d so away from the station there is no point in having the station in the first place. If social gear is to thrive they need to make it more affordable for ever level to use and mod. Not to mention come up with new sets and maby color variations to appeal to the masses I mean check even go with paint kits or something along those lines. I love my social gear but it's old dumping money to mod every few levels especially when you do it to every set piece. The social gear is a great idea just needs more fine tuning.
  3. I know I'm going to sound like a noob for this one but in my defense I've been away from the game for a little while... What is the rumors for the "super secret space project" or base line that they are trying to do? Does anyone have a slight idea or notion?
  4. This game was doomed the moment it came out. They had such a high standard set for the game and dialed to deliver in every aspect they claimed to flourish in. This will be possibly a very big hit to this game I think not to mention the f2p around the corner... Glad I bought time cards for cheap because if they don't do something to save face in the publics eye and in game I think it might get shut down...
  5. I hear a lot of people say that which is why I think they need to add more sets and have a diverse range for everyone's play style. Everyone enjoys gear they customized themselves, so I think it would be very helpful and beneficial to the game if they took more time with it
  6. Simply put they need a JTL expansion for space. They need to do away with boundaries in space open it all up and give players freedom. Dog fights, BH can chase marked targets, you can farm materials and such. That I think should be their first step for an expansion alone with two races minimum and maby a class. The races in this game are to little for it to feel like. Star Wars game. That right there would be able to hold enough people over until they overhaul the game with content and EGC for raiders. But I think the end picture for this game should be open world planets or atleast some where players can go and explore without restraint and enjoy the actual feel of the SW universe.
  7. What does everyone think about the social gear?? Personally I like it and am wearing it on my chars as we speak. I think in 1.4 patch they need to do a little tweaking with the costs to mod the gear. Just like a lot of other revenues in the game it is a huge money sink and very hard to fund no matter what money you think you make is goes to modding the gear. They should fix costs and make it more reasonable to mod the gear and add diverse sets for both factions to use and look. The social gear in itself is a very good idea, but to own and maintain the gear and keep it up to level costs money in the game which even the most wealthy cannot afford as is.. So I say cut modding cost to a reasonable level and you will have more of a audience and people interested in it completely.
  8. I think there should be some kind of bonus if you give out a 7 day trial to someone and then they purchase the game and sub. It only makes sense to give back to the community and fans if we are bringing in business. Some people dont care what the reward would be, pet, unique mount, some kind of buddy system skills, anything of the sorts would be benificial to the cause espcially for the future of the game when in some eyes it seems like its fading.... Might be a good idea, just saying..
  9. I agree all most 100% with what you are saying and i think this needs to be bumped. BioWare and EA need to listen to the fans more because this game as of right now does not have a bright future ahead of it.
  10. The lag has been ongoing for the last few days spiking randomly and kicking alot of players from load screens. I'm guessing it finally caught up with ther servers themselves and they crashed. BioWare and EA are starting to slowly let this game slip into nothing with the problems they have been expierencing lately and they dont seem to care. Guess we will see what their excuse is for this outage and what they plan on doing to fix it or worsen the issue at the rate they are going...
  11. I agree i think SWTOR was failed from the start. They sent out a game that was very unfinished and very sub par compared to what everyone expected. Of course your going to have alfan boysanboys and such defend this game and say it is epic and so on but no matter how hard you try many SW fans disagree with how this game plays out. They put an unfinished game out to some of the hardest critiques in the industry i would say because star wars was such a big success and still is today but this game does it no justice at all. Bring on the hate but just remember they thought this game was going to be ground breaking and P2P for a long time as we all see though, the truth comes out since its failing at an alarming rate and F2P is right around the corner.
  12. I agree completely. Whats the point in playing both sides?? IMO it really kid of takes the fun out of things and possibly could unbalance the sides in the long run. I mean honestly most games don't let you play both sides on same server for that simple reason, but then again we are talking about EA and Bioware... Reminds me of something we say in the military, Commen Sense is not a common virtue. Seems to be the case here IMO
  13. They lost alot of people on space combat alone since it was very poorly handled and they have no real intent to change it. If they needed a good model to script the game around or even space combat to make the game have some lasting worth they should of looked at SWG. As sad as it is to say that many people complain about how horrible that game was, it was one of the better Star Wars games done since it covered all aspects of the franchise very well. All in all dont expect to see any major changes coming for this game, they talked about F2P and that is inevitable. Not long after people play the F2P version though it may bring more subs, they will flat line along with everyone else who had hope for the game... SWTOR sadly enough will not have a long life span and i think EA and Bioware will soon realize and jump ship :/
  14. They need to do some serious updates to space combat regardless, there is no reason for people to play the mini missions since its scripted. I think if they took the SWG side of space combat the masses would be happy and there would be a major rise in people flying simply because it would be a break from the scripted worlds.
  15. I agree completely with this idea, but i think they would also need to find a way to open the planets up more. The idea that your suggesting has been on alot of peoples minds since release and day one. Simple fact is that the ships dont cut it because they are all cookie cutters of each other nothing new fancy or unique and this game lacks diversity in sad to say alot of areas. If they decided to open up a world for player housing it would be a great idea, but more so if they opened up every planet to actually explore while they did player housing.... That would make people feel right at home in a Star Wars game. Player housing give a break from the every day grind and quest hoarding that you do in this game and in some cases many people would agree that it's needed. While staying in the fleet it cool and all, theres not much interaction for players to do. everyone just stands around in a mass huddle or aimlessly waiting for something to catch their attention. If they design and implement player housing people would actually go out explore and then go back to their own house to hang out with their friends or guildmates. The open world and player housing in SWG really did make that game last all those years and when it closed it still had only seemed like months it was out. Customization is key in any MMORPG and i think since this is a Star Wars game that it would only do the game real justice to have they open the planets up and add player housing for people to enjoy.
  16. If they kill out the light servers and consolidate them into the more populated servers you still have a delemma of queues, while some poeple like and some dont. If they decide to stress test servers and raise pop cap on them it would work out in everyones favor, not to mention if they shut down the servers with light to no population it would save them money, money in which they can use to further dev content and such to keep players interested...
  17. It's more so just going to be people checking out the group finder tool and some of the new content. But after they play it beat it and get tired they subs will drop all over again, not to mention that the F2P aspect is right around the corner which means it will drive enough people to play again but BioWare and EA still have the underlying fact that this game is nothing special and nothing new to lay claim to the MMORPG genre or Star Wars franchise. If they do so minor adjustments and maby start making planets explorable and listen to the players more so then they have now, they will have a very big MMORPG on their hands. But they are still faced with the ever declining subs due to people getting bored. At the end of the day and the rate they are going though, they still arnt hitting black with the amount they lose compared to the amount resubbing.
  18. I for one am not certain on the bright future this game is claimed to have. Everywhere you turn there is a constant chatter of people crying foul on this game. The majority of the fleeing subs and people leaving this game are doing so in such a fast paced manner the main reason is obvious, BioWare and EA failed to deliver on a the promise of this game being ground breaking and award winning. In my opinion i think this game needs some serious work, and possibly a new direction or at least a clear one. Many people are fleeing this game because there are bigger and better things on the horizon for upcoming games... I personally think that if BioWare and EA want to compete and keep this game from going under at the rate it is right now they have to expand on the Star Wars Universe and many people agree. This game needs a serious change to keep its retaining players and to draw more in. The franchise name alone Star Wars will not hold this game a float if they continue to diminish the game they way they are doing it now. What comes to your mind when you think Star Wars in a game? For me it's an ever expansive universe not boundaries that have been set for us to explore the bare minimum on a planet as possible. The world should be an open play ground where the constant warring of two factions is ever present. You shouldn't have only a select number of races that can play only certain classes, every race should be available to play to give it the custom and unique feel that Star Wars needs. There shouldn't be one ship for a class to use that all look the same, there should be many ships that look different. Star Wars lore is all about the diversity and uniqueness that change from planet to planet solar system to solar system. Traveling to each planet is always a fight because of the notorious smugglers that run freely in space or Jedi and bounty hunters who are fleeing and hunting down their next targets which means space combat should be a priority. All this should be the very bare minimum of what a Star Wars game should look, feel, and play like which most people agree on. BioWare and EA might have bitten off more then they could handle at this moment in time, but if they really want people to stick around and hand out money to play this game they have their work cut out for them and need to make some serious changes and listen to their consumers. I will say this though, this game has very great potential but in the long run if they do not address the situation that is presenting itself there will be even more of a fall out to follow...

  20. ^^ Very true, BioWare and EA built this game around a single player franchise and had no idea what they got themselves into when they wanted to try and break away to an MMORPG. This game needs some serious fine tuning and restructure. Star Wars is not ment to be a sectioned off world with the bare minimal exploring possible; It is how ever supose to be a very vast and unique world with all the different inhabitants and races. Two warring factions constantly crossing paths and fighting towards a greater good... what ever that would be at the time. I think will all the money they have successfully wasted in creating the game, the outcome could of and should of been 100 times better then this. Sadly enough when you have spokesmen and the reps for both companies saying that this is fine with all the dropping subs and they couldn't expect a better outcome from this game, to me that just indicates how lazy they really are and how much they seem to not care about the consumers they target or the future for this game.
  21. Nope in this game there is no difference sadly enough and it seems like there is no intention to fix this amongst the many other issues this game faces.
  22. Sadly enough, 500k subs is not massive in any retrospect for the MMO this game claims to be not to mention when you have your so called 500k subs split between 10+ servers those numbers slim down terribly. You can justify this game how ever you want but that sad and underlying truth is that this game is one of the most expensive failures to ever be released with the Star Wars Franchise tag. As for the Op this game is designed around a very linear and story driven quest line which was horribly adapted to be what BioWare and EA deem an MMORPG. Most people will claim this game has all the items and such you need to be a successful MMO, but that sad fact is that this game is far from any MMO to date. There is no need to group or join guilds or make friends in this game when like you originally stated you can solo the entire quest and story line up to 50 and get good gear for it. The game needs to be overhauled and have a serious face lift in order to stay afloat in this market thats the only thing that could save it.
  23. 1. Your completely wrong with what you said, this game is nothing like WoW and to compare the two franchises or even both games you are still very far off. 2. This is probably one of the hardest posts to read on the thread because your grammer is hard to understand. 3. To even say that this game will make it another few months at the declining rate that it is going could possibly be very far fetched. As of right now BioWare and EA both have their hands full trying to convience people that this game still deserves a chance and that it can still be profitable. In all actuality if they do not fix this game within a few months it will probably be one of the biggest let downs and most unsuccessful games to ever lay claim to the Star Wars Frachise tag.
  24. They are going to say what ever they need to in order to not feel like complete idiots for failing to deliver a sloid MMORPG. This game is failing fast and the only reason they want to do press releases is to save face before the game goes under. They poured more money into this game then any other apparently, but its no where to be seen in the atmosphere or dev of the game. This game falls very short on every aspect you would expect to have in even the most basic of MMORPGs but in EAs eyes and BioWares, its oh so complete and a very good product. In the consumers eyes, it is the furthest thing from a well planned and thought out MMORPG and in all honesty the only real thing that this game is standing on is the franchise tag " Star Wars" and it falls very short in every aspect of what the game should be.
