Nadia, definitely. I just like how by the end of it she's totally bold about not keeping it a secret. If I remember correctly, she said something about how relationships that led to the dark side were all ones that people tried to keep hidden, and I thought, "Wow, that's a really good point."

Total agreement. It's a travesty that Sages and Sorcerers have to stand there holding a useless weapon. It's bothered me since before the game was released, when I was just watching demos of the Taral V flashpoint and the consular just stood, making the same hand gesture over and over while the legendary, easily-recognizable Jedi weapon remained motionless in his other hand. And I get that these classes are supposed to be primarily ranged, but the melee classes have ranged abilities. The knights and warriors have a lightsaber throw as well as Force Stasis/Choke. They have "Force Push". They have "Force Scream". None of those are melee abilities, but they're all used by melee classes. Why don't the Sages/Sorcerers get that kind of balance? Heck, I'd be satisfied if we just got the same "Deflect" animation that the Guardian gets in 2.0, just to know that the lightsaber isn't completely worthless. Otherwise, yes, I'd like to be able to turn it off.

Major class changes without addressing lightsabers is a joke

Tumult is going away, according to the patch notes on Darth Hater. So now we have even fewer close abilities and still no reason to carry a lightsaber. And instead of giving us a lightsaber throw (which would make so much sense it's ridiculous), they're giving the Sentinels/Marauders an extra one to make it even more awesome. -
They're getting rid of Tumult, according to Darth Hater. My sweet, sweet spin kick, one of the precious few close combat abilities my Sage possesses, is going away.

Agreed. I liked the look of it much better as a two-handed "shove" motion rather than the hadouken it's been changed to.

I keep trying to find video online of the new 1.4 Force Wave animation, and have had no success. Does anybody know where I can get a glimpse of this ability since I don't have a character on the PTS?

Force Wave change should make it a Force Push?
SlickAWG replied to Rumpleman's topic in Combat Styles
I meant in terms of range and activation time. It will no longer be an ability that can only be used for enemies specifically within your reach, and we won't have to land a jump before the effect occurs. -
I loved the Consular story. You just have to be prepared for it going in. I leveled my Consular while my friend played a Knight, and we were delighted at the differing storylines. And while I can see how people might find Chapter 1 to be a little slow, my friend was jealous when I got to do things like or . Essentially, you have to know you're playing a different kind of Jedi. One who is more a diplomat than a straight-up warrior. For me, that was excellent, and I'm hoping that when the class stories are continued, I'll get to see people like again.

I am so excited about the update to Force Wave. This seems like it will now be closer to the Force Wave ability from KOTOR2. When 1.4 comes out I can finally start making use of this ability again. I'll also be able to quit referring to it as Super Stomp. -
"Overload and Force Wave have been redesigned. These abilities now knock back all targets within a 15-meter 120-degree cone in front of you. Furthermore, these abilities now knock back all potential targets instantly; they no longer wait for an animation note at the end of the ability animation." So, so very excited for this. Can't wait to see what Force Wave will look like once this is implemented. Just knowing that I won't need to wait for the Super Stomp animation to finish before pushing enemies back brings a smile to my face.

I don't know how far away the next expansion of class stories will be, but whenever it arrives, please let us get as companions. I really enjoyed these characters and would love to be able to play alongside them. Plus, it would be a great way for Chapter 4 to reflect on your previous quests in the game.

Might it ever be possible to connect your legacy family tree to another player's? For example, right now, I can list one of my alts as an "ally" or "rival", but it's kind of trivial since those two characters can never be in the game simultaneously. I'd much rather have the ability to mark my friend''s character as an ally/rival/sibling/etc. since we play together often. -
Saber Throw is too much to hope for. I mean, yes, it would be amazing, but I doubt it's going to happen. Same thing with a "Force Burst", which would be only slightly less cool than a lightsaber throw, and still cooler than Project in its current form. I imagine they're going to just speed up the animation, which is kind of disappointing. Sidenote: Does anyone remember the Beta, where Force Wave pushed enemies away the same distance as the Jedi Knight's Force Push? Can we all start commenting on that after Project is changed, so that ability becomes cool and worthwhile again?
