  3. I happened to level a jug that I love and that made me abandon my my mauraders so I used legacy gear to send all his gear to Ashara and I got to say Ashara is a beast. She will melt enemies. The only problem I have with her is she thinks she is a Jedi still. But I just keep punishing her(I'm a pureblood sith) hopefully eventually she will feel the rage and turn to the dark side.

  6. Depending on the situation you will use lightning strike over crushing darkness. I can't give all the situation you do but here is a couple. If you know they other team has a healer a couple healers and you see an enemy that is at lor health, don't throw crushing darkness on him because the healer may heal through that damage in time. Instead use your proc'ed LS on him for that instant damage. If the force is with you it will proc instant CL which should definitely kill him). Another scenario is when you see death field has 3 seconds left on cd but your crushing darkness is off CD. Use the LS instead because it will increase your force regen and probably proc CL (which when used with Death field + CD is devastating). And by the time death field finally does go off cd you should have another wrath proc up or at least coming up very soon. Crushing Darkness is a special move because it heals you also but it should not really be spammed unless you are getting the 64% dmg buff (wrath bonus+ death field bonus+ force horrors bonus). I finally got the obroan stats I need so I don't need the skill point for alac. The aoe slow for 6 seconds is a cool little bonus and gives me enough time to maneuver around the maps. I found it was proc'ing for about 4 times for every 6 CL I was putting out so it came frequently enough to be noticed. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201ZforMdkMZcMfRsbkrb.3 I'm not a big fan of lightning hybrids at 55. Lvling up its lowkey op because it puts out such high numbers along with CCs and roots that a lot of classes aren't ready for yet. But once you're 55 a lot of people know how to deal with that and the problem becomes " We are a sorc how do we H2F? ". You can't spam cast heals because as soon as the enemy sees you they think "sorc healer! Yummy!" And mark you for focus. You also can't spam heal because of you are healing yourself you aren't doing dmg to the enemy. Which leaves your team 1 man down even if you are in the area. Madness is the only spec I find viable until some changes are made to lightning(lol). Primarily because you can heal yourself while you are doing significant dmg to the enemy. Ps if you like lightning spec sorc roll a merc arsenal dps. They play similar but merc has more mobility + heavy armor+slightly better offheals. (Unless you just like seeing lightning all over the place wich is also pretty fun)
  7. Are you keeping affliction DOTs up? When I am not lazy and keep my dots up my healing is about 2/3 of my dmg

    Yes. While a higher crit is nice on a madness, the higher increase in bonus dmg from power is worth it.

    What I did is drop my willpower down to 2500 taking out most of the willpower augs and putting in power augs. At around 1400 bonus dmg I stop because any lower on my willpower and my crit would suffer too much. Also go with power heavy mods
  10. You won't run out of force or eeeever use consumption. The trick is to keep up 3 stacks of subversion for the 30% force regen. What I don't like about that spec is that you aren't getting the 100% increase to paratism and death field. Or paratism at all lol. From what the Devs said our class is dangerous because of our heal to full abilities(lmao) but in all seriousness I find we have to really take advantage of that. There will always be a "stronger" dps then our class (sniper, mauraders, pure dps classes) so our utility partially comes from being able to h2f without wasting time casting heals. (Along with being able to pull your teammate to safety and giving energency bubbles) Our dots, death field, bubble stun, unnatural preservation , and medpacs should give us all the heals we need to survive in most situations in wzs. And long enough for you and your team to take take out an enemy in an arena.
  11. Well it's personal preference you could go with the lowered cd on whirlwind or 2% dmg reduction. But my lightning burns do 409 energy dmg.(the talent tree on torhead is for a character geared in greens) and I spit our lightning strikes frequently enough that those add up. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201ZforMdkMZcMfRsbkrb.3 I have basically min/maxed to get the alac I want so I put the extra point into giving chain lightning a 50% chance to root and slow. I only use chain lightning when it procs so it is just a bonus when it does its slow. And if the force is with you, you won't notice and it will always proc the slow. I went with the extra second of crushing darkness for the extra second of heals

  13. Yep this is what makes devour in the madness tree pretty much required making paratism and death field do 100% more healing.( that can't be interrupted and can be used on the move )
  14. I find it very meh. I also find shapeless spirit and force speed pretty meh for how high on the tree they are. I know it sounds crazy but get that flat 5% alacrity. As madness putting up dots faster (and hots) with alac is better than those dots crit'ing for a tiny bit more.

This spec is great because it if you want to do hard instant damage then keep using force lighting and lighting strike with chain lightning proc'ing constantly. And when you want to heal your self and get high dmg # put your dots on people and those dots will heal you over time. The bubble stun makes it so your dots have enough chances to give you the HOTs you need to survive. Also with 3 stacks of subversion I have the force regen I need to offheal my team without draining my energy. You are sacrificing bonus damage for survivability (HOTs and bubble stun) these used with LOS and slow make you a pain in the arse to kill. (Don't forget grenades this frustrates so many people especially after being bubble stunned. They also get you enough to to escape multiple enemies. This works best when you have the correct gear. I have 1400 bonus dmg. 70% surge. 18.5% crit, With 4.5% alacraty. I am working on my obroan gear enhancements to get high alac (want it to 5% completetly) but its taking a little bit.

    Someone with more time on their hands could organize a monthly or bi weekly "guild wars" on tattooine where guilds can fight from base to base and whoever surrenders loses. Now I would love some sort of system that rewards killing people would let you pick up tokens that could be turned in for mounts, title, pets.

I do it because it lowers my gcd of affliction (it was taking a split second too long to cast on multiple people, I try to make sure it is always on 4 people at least so I have constant HOTs going) because our spec requires a lot of instant casts I wanted to make it happens as quick as possible so I can proc another LS/CD. I put in 2 power alacraty enhancements and used the force masters earpiece. The second to last tier in the madness offers a 4% alacraty boost. I took this to mean that madness works best with a bit of alacraty to put those extra dots up. However an instant aoe that hits for 5k without crits (chain lighting )is better that a single target 5k move with root (creeping terror), so I needed a way to make up for the alacraty I'd get from the skill tree thus why I put a little alac in. Ps alacraty boosts energy regen is again is awesome for those couple of time we need to throw a heal on ourselves or a teammate Also 1 think I have been testing out is going with a hybrid of power augments and willpower. Now most people go with full power because it is going to increase your bonus damage more. However after looking at my stats I needed to make sure my force lighting and lighting strike crit regularly (mostly force lightning). I ended up with 2500 endur 2500 willpower. This gets my crit up to 19% this the 6% crit bonus to force lightning my force lighting has a 25% chance to crit. My bonus dmg in wz is about 4000 so not too much of a difference with the power because my enhancements use power enhancements. I sacrifice a little surge but I figure that its better to hit a few more people and for more sustained then to hit slightly fewer people and add a tiny bit more burst. I am not min/max obroan yet so my sure isnt were I want but my surge is still 71% Anyway test it out a couple wzs see if ya like it and any problems you see with is in wzs. You should definitely see in increase in off heals at the very least
  18. I like the vid we have similiar gameplay on our sorc. If you are looking for a little more heals give this spec a try, it's pretty similar however I went with points in backlash so we can throw a heal on ourselves when a melee pops our bubble. I put the other point in subversion because we proc the instant lightning stikes enough to make it worthwhile and the energy regeneration will make it so our heals aren't draining our energy. The crit damage from creeping death is cool however I think this can be overcome with gear. And our dots our doing 9% more dmg anyway so it won't be misses all that much. The last point I put into alacraty. That was personal preference because I don't have the obroan hear I need to get my alacraty to where I want (it's at 4.9% with the skill point) so if it works for you put that point into creeping death or go with dmg reduction.
  19. When I level a new character I get all their gear ready before I play the class. I'm talking purple augments,blue mods, blue armorings, enhancements, and most importantly a well put together outfit. (style is 60% of bolster). Put this all together and the 3 moves you do have will be so OP it's hilarious. I broke 400k at level 10 on my merc spamming my couple moves( ranged classes are op lowbees) and 250k on my jug at level 10. This will also allow you to carry a lot of teams because you are more geared than 80% of the other players
  20. The problem with Sorcs in general is that we are generally the first person targeted and we take damage the easiest. My solution is to make is so there is no cast time for any moves except force lightning. I will throw in a quick dark heal after the melee has stunned himself and force speed away. The problem with your spec is that there is only a 30% chance forcked lightning and shock will proc. Based on what I have seen with a 30% chance to proc you are going to get screwed more often then not. Also because you have unlimited force lighting without a cd it isn't necessary to put any points in lightning barrage (force lightning will proc wrath usually about halfway through channeling at which point you go for the free LS/CL or the deathfield/CD) Another reason you need to go higher into madness is because devour increases the deathfield+ HOTs by 100% which does not seem like a lot but it adds up tremendously over time. Over the course of 23 seconds if you afflict 4 people, death field 5 people+ crushing darkness (proc'd instant) you will heal over 27k heals. Now there heals are not something you are casting so they can't be interrupted. Also this does not include the protection from your lightning barrier and your unnatural preservation. I want to be clear though. This is definitely not a 1v1 spec, you will need to work with your team and make sure you are always next to a pillar to LOS your enemy.
