  1. The lowest level el dorado hat I ever saw was 47. I don't remember where I got it, but it was around level 43. It sat in my inventory and was the first thing I changed the second I hit 47. Unfortunately, they don't restrict these hats to smugglers. I like the Master Scoundrel TH-07 hat better.
  2. Make sure your map shows quick travel points and taxi's. Make sure you enable them or you may not be able to use them. The qt point looks like a console with a power symbol above it that disappears when activated. Sometimes hard to see. The taxi points will be reverse polarity until you activate them. Not all require activation, but some do and it can be irritating if they aren't activated. The / on your numpad is the default for "Auto-run" and make sure you have sprint enabled (looks like a guy sprinting, if there is a small black oval at the bottom, it is not active, if the oval is bright, it is on).
  3. Look in your inventory for a backpack. Right click to open and you might find what you are looking for and more.
  4. I have been knocked out of cover as well without really knowing what caused it. A lot of aoe's will knock you out of cover. I suspect this includes those that don't do any damage but only result in a debuff. I don't know if taunts pull you out or not. I think it is unfair that a sorc can pull me out with lightning from 30m away and hold me out of cover so a jugg can leap to me. I also don't like that a stun (like the merc's dart) can hit me in cover, pull me out and I don't automatically go back in cover after it wears off or I break it. But unless they change it we will just have to deal with it. The key to Juggs is they don't have any real ranged attacks and need to build up rage (might have a different name, but same as a knights focus). They might throw a saber, but that only hurts you if your health is low, otherwise it just reduces your armor. If one jumps to you, he immediately gets some and proc's for other abilities, the best thing to do is get away from him using leg shot (slows or roots depending on skill tree), dirty kick or flash grenade. If you are a slinger, then knockback. Then hit him with ranged attacks. The armor reduction won't hurt you unless someone can hit you.
  5. I have a level 50 scoundrel that I grinded up as a healer and now play both dps (Scrapper tree - which is the middle) and healer. I recommend you stay on the middle tree for grinding. But I suspect you are not using the abilities to the best advantage. A lot of people do not understand their armor or mods and think they have good gear when they don't. You should be wearing medium armor with cunning, power and crit. The mods/armor with alacrity are for healers. Corso and Bowdaar where heavy armor. Corso's main stat is Aim and Bowdaar's is strength. The key is managing your energy and fighting to your strengths. A scrapper relies on stealth and using the companion to mitigate damage. Once you get your healer companion, it becomes much easier. I like using Corso (Range Tank) over Bowdaar (Melee Tank). You should look at their stances and abilities... Turn off their aoe attacks for now. Set their stance to defensive and only heal them if you are not taking a lot of damage to do so. You should always have your smuggler buff (Lucky Shots) active. For PVE: If you are approaching a group, you should be in stealth. Use your sneak to get in close and stun (tranq dart) the strong, then target a weak and use shoot first. This does a good amount of damage and grants upper hand. Then use blaster whip (also gets upper hand which stacks). You want to use pugnacity as much as possible for the energy gains so now is a good time to use it (consumes 1 upper hand). If you are behind the target then back blast, other wise use Vital Shot then sucker punch. You should have blaster whip available again, if not, use the free basic blaster fire. Don't forget to use your defensive screen and dodge (these are your defensive cooldowns). You should use flash grenades and dirty kick to control the fight and get away from hard hitters. Use the Surrender ability to move aggro to your companion. If you are getting swarmed, use disappearing act. I also like to use dirty kick if I am having trouble getting behind the target for back blast. Thermal grenade is good for range attacks, but never to start a fight. Use sabotage charge and blaster burst to finish fights if your energy is high. If energy is below 80% and cool head is not available (on cool down), these are a bad idea. Some fights you don't want to get anywhere close. When that is the case, find a good spot for cover and use the Ctrl-1 to have your companion attack first, then sit back and hit them using your ranged attacks. This is not preferable, but some fights require slightly altered tactics. If you are have trouble with a particular mission or boss, make sure your armor is at 100% and use skill stims to help.
  6. It would be nice if you could sort by stack size for high cost items. If someone is selling the same mats at a too low price, then buy them and resell them in larger stacks for a profit. ...Buy low/sell high.
  7. When you are attacked by a higher level player, no matter the server type, post the location and what happened in General chat. Hopefully some high-enough level players will show up to fight them... This is especially true on pvp servers...
  8. There are several ways to get credits in-game. New players often find repair bills are eating up their credits. ways to get credits without repair bills 1. PVP - not for everyone 2. Space Combat The easiest way to getting credits while questing is to pick Slicing as a gathering skill. Then enable Resources on your Map and start looking for the stars/asterisks that mark them. They usually appear as a little safe like trapazoid or a suitcase with aurebesh letters. They can be difficult to spot at first. Anyway, right click to gather, then open your inventory and right click the orange briefcase and instant credits.
  9. The last email I got made it sound like the GAR event isn't over....just waiting for the next part.
  10. How is this fair to Armstech and why do you consider this a viable answer? This type of apathy is why so many people are upset at the direction this game is going.
  11. So, I have to hope that EC HM or Kephas SM drop a blaster, that I am able to get it just for an opportunity to RE? Have you noticed you cannot buy these blasters from the blackhole/campaign vendors? If these are available for bh comms somewhere, please let me know. Is it guaranteed to give me a schematic?
  12. Really? Funny thing is....this post is what inspired mine. >> http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=505891 Pvp vendors, world bosses, Ops boss drops, there is nothing for armstech.
  13. List Start List End Correct me if I am wrong....there is nothing for armstech.
  14. I made the mistake of buying the battlemaster schematics for 50,000 credits before checking online what it contained. I assumed it contained schematics for all the gear you could purchase. I was extremely disappointed to find that it only had armortech schematics since I am armstech...Why are armortechs the only ones who get the craft their gear?
  15. The abilities are Cover Fire for Commando and Tendon Blast for Scoundrel. They appear to have the same icon. They both are meant to slow the targets speed. Cover Fire is a buff and Tendon blast is a separate attack... Cover Fire Full Auto has a [50 / 100]% chance to slow the target's movement speed by 50% for 2 seconds. Tendon Blast Blasts the target's legs with your scattergun, dealing 262 - 324 kinetic damage and slowing the target's movement speed by 50% for 12 seconds
  16. I think you mean the quick bar that appears when you move into cover... This is extremely annoying, not because it exists or replaces the 1st quick bar, but because you can't edit both at the same time or even see the cover bar unless you are in cover. Anytime I change an ability on Quickbar 1, I match that onto the cover quickbar. The only exception is the slot in Quick bar 1 is crouch (*fast than cover and enables the cover bar) and the corresponding slot in the Cover bar is Charged Burst which can only be used in cover. I initially had the 'goto cover' ability in Quickbar 1, but using the F key is faster and sometimes the cover would put the target not in sight (hate it when that happens and think it is a bug in the cover mechanic...why go to cover where I can't then attack the target?) I have to occassionally match the two which results in pressing the F to go into cover and then a movement key to move out over and over again to ensure they are the same....this usually happens when I accidentally unlock the quick bar or forget to lock them after editting.
