  1. Had the same issue this morning. Called Customer Service and was able to get it resolved.
  2. I kinda like this idea. I like using Vette. Having basic healing to train would be great. On my Sorc I use Khem Val, so he tanks and I dps and kill. But some of the healer comps could use some increased dps. Especially Miko who I love. Best companion on the BH, with Blizz as a close second.
  3. It's a good fight. I don't think it's bugged at all. It is definitely a timing and dps check. You have to interrupt the corrupters and when the boss appears peel off 2 dps to help the tank burn him down or you will hit the enrage timer. Like I said, took us 4 times to figure this out but if it is done correctly it is a great fight. And the ones with the shields should take a back seat until all the other adds are killed. The guardians can be an issue but if you pair up right they can be handled pretty quickly. And interrupts are so necessary. One bad hit on you healer can do you in. I think the fight is fine the way that it is. And it is definitely a pug killer unless you work the logistics before even starting.
  4. It is about add management and boss management. You have to dps the boss everytime he appears. My guild found out that if you pull 2 dps off the adds when he appears that you can burn him down fairly fast. Took 4 pulls to figure this out but I think it is a viable solution. When the boss comes back the last time, if you keep on tank and healers on the adds and the rest on the boss it is much easier to burn him down and complete it. So it's not nerfed or bugged, just a management issue of the adds and dpsing the boss.
  5. Problem with this is that you can't just update the engine. Would require at least a year and a half just to recode everything. Not as simple as cut and paste. A lot of man hours and reworking code. Alpha, beta, and RC testing. You would be looking at 2 years at the minimum.
  6. You really don't know anything about program development do you? It's not copy and paste. Everything would need to be re-written under the base code of the engine. There is so much that is involved in software development, (even for the relatively simple programs) that it boggles the mind. So much coding has to happen. Bioware had started development long before they even leaked that there was going to be a SWTOR MMO. So you should just stick to the things you know about and obviously game development is not one of them.
  7. Perhaps you didn't hear that EA already secured the rights to all Star Wars PC/console games for the next 5 years. This includes SWTOR. They can farm out but EA already has it all.
  8. Sure they can. Apple copyrighted the Rectangle.
  9. This is why if I'm in a PUG I make sure I am the last one to select. If it is a set piece I need, I need on it. If someone ninja-loots it I will call for a vote to kick for that reason. If they don't want to vote kick the ninja looter, I drop. Especially if I am a healer. Harder to get healers in PUGs nowadays.
  10. Are you doing dummy parses or raid parses. I can tell you now that I parse higher in raids than I do on the dummy. Assassins are fine. I have a guildmate who can do 10000 hp mauls on a good crit roll. And he is playing deception. I play madness. Have played deception also. my play style is more the madness type of play for ops and deception for fps. So L2P. Parses aren't the end all be all. There is subtlety involved.

  12. Nobody should be appreciative for that price for a one-time use object. That's them walking up to you, sticking their hands in your pockets and you letting them.
  13. So I run a Madness Assassin and I can tell you in WZ or Ops or on Bosses that Tumult does nothing. And I have parsed my Sin in both Madness and Deception with mostly 69 gear with some 72's. Tumult as it is is only good for trash. I have been playing since launch and I can tell you that Assassins are the most nerfed class in the game. But there are exceptions. I have a guild mate who posts ungodly numbers. He knows how to play his character. Tumult will do nothing. I saw my guildy pull a 8000 hp Maul. So even though the class is nerfed, you can get results out of it. And don't say they should change it. That is a serious no go. You can't ask for an ability back and then say change it at the same time. You either want it as it was or nothing at all.
  14. Jedi Knight 3 was Jedi Academy.
  15. 2 of the people you mentioned I respect what they say. And I never once said my notions are the best. I said it is what I believe. And as far as playing the game as is, I do. And I enjoy it. I have met great people on the game and made new friends because of it. There are flaws with it. When you see something is flawed, don't you want to see it get fixed or get better? You would just settle?
  16. Still not seeing my point. I am not talking about me. I am talking about the whole game and the precedent it sets for them making people pay, whether it be by CC or in-game credits for content that should be included for free. That is my point. You seem to think that I am thinking about me in my comments. I am thinking about the game as a whole. And I am not the only one who thinks this way. If you've read from the beginning of this post or any of the other posts in General Chat about this, then you would see that.
  17. I didn't say that I should be the one to make that decision. Obviously I don't work on the game. I said I "think" that they should have done it in a quest line. More to the point that it is a bad precedent to just putting everything on the market. You are here so you must be a sub. Doesn't it bother you that they are just throwing everything worth anything up on the CM? What is your sub money paying for? This is another test case for them I think to see if they can get away with adding more and more "content" to the CM market. And I like the idea for doing a quest once to unlock it because it does add content and something different to do. I have no problem with being able to pay for a companion after an initial questline like that. It's why all my alts have HK on them. While I do like doing Ops and trying to get past the latest HM or NiM, I don't necessarily like the daily grind for credz or the monotony of Makeb weeklies. But to me, buying something like that is not very fulfilling in a game where I pay every month and expect something for my money. And before they conveniently rewrote the Customer Service agreement, that is what was promised. So yes, it bothers me that they put it up for sale in the CM and a vendor. That is not "fun" for me.
  18. Look, If you are just trying to start something, I ain't bitin'. Don't have time to have an argument with people who don't have any kind of open mind. But if you want to have a honest conversation based on differing opinions. I'm up for that. You have shown me nothing except for and attitude of "I don't agree with you and I don't care because you are wrong." You could care less about listening why I have my opinions because they don't match yours. I have said mine, but you have not once asked why? Most people would. So a troll is as a troll does.
  19. So you would rather just buy something than work for it. What is the fun in that? This is supposed to be a fun game that you do things in. Why on earth would you just want to buy things when questing is so much more fun? I thoroughly enjoyed the HK quest. Treek should have been the same. I swear that this game is turning more into "look what I can buy" instead of "look what I earned".
  20. I said nothing about buying with CC. Where did you read that? I said I don't want it for sale at all. Companions should be introduced during quests. That's how all the rest are. So quit putting words in my mouth. I said I don't want it for sale at all, but with the current set up, I guess I am ok. Learn to read please.
  21. While I don't like the precedent of being able to buy a companion instead of questing at least once for it, I have no problem with the way it is. I'm LL 50 and a million credz is not hard to save up (unless it is a brutish HM/NiM Ops week.) I just don't like the fact that it is for sale at all like that. I would prefer it more if it were like the HK quest.
  22. Half the people in my Guild are LS imperials. Don't pay those fools no mind. It's all about choice. I have read threads where people just are unable to to do the "wrong" thing, and this is only a game. So I wouldn't give the little boys any after thought.
