  1. He literally just told you he might have something for you, maybe, he hopes, after silence on the issue and deadlines going from weeks to months, and you're all slobbering over the post like mana from heaven. Maybe tamp your expectations down a bit more.
  2. ... which is exactly what I was talking about. If the toon has confirmed the romance, and is "romancing" Lana, no more early chapter re-runs for that toon. Not that re-runs of KOTFE are something I'm inclined towards most of the time.
  3. The classic vibroblades still aren't aligned properly since their "fix". Left-hand blade sits too high over the shoulder. It makes me sad.
  4. I never rerun the chapters prior to confirming Lana romance on toons romancing her out of an abundance of caution. Why tempt bugs? Lana Banana is my waifu.
  5. I did the same thing. Now, I have all 48 ACs, plus one from DVL. About half are at 70. When they hit 70, I almost immediately drop them, regardless of where they are in the story, because I've seen the story a billion times by this point and getting nothing for playing but more re-runs of baby-mode single player or the very rare group content pops gets boring more and more quickly as time passes. Last week, running ops again after like forever, was actually kinda fun. I still remembered all the fights and tricks and paths and even the lame bugs like Soa's phase 3. Vets reappeared and new people wanted to learn because they wanted to get good so they could play the ops consistently and get a bunch of CXPs and gear drops. Now? Dead, 1 instance Fleet every night.
  6. No buff. No play. Playtime has dropped to less than 1 hour today. Complete slog with horrible odds from RNG. Haven't even played my main since Tue. The buff made galactic command just barely endurable since it was squirting out consistent crates and started to feel more like pre-5.0, where no matter which toon I played, I could make progress. Now? Check GTN, list some crap, log out to play any other game where I can actually get rewarded for my time spent, instead of spinning my wheels.
  7. It has a long respawn timer and is accessed by a hidden path that leads to the waterfall overlooking the southern most area. Not a bug.
  8. They mostly vanished when level sync arrived. Loot is linked directly to level now and it seems like FP decos are sub-70 loot. I haven't seen a single deco drop in a flashpoint of any difficulty on any toon once they hit 70. Very rarely will they drop if I'm at level. They'll drop all the time in ops though.
  9. There's running heroics for crates to feed the potential companion, then bunker, then solo fortress to fight a droid, then vet Fortress to fight the Exarch. If you rank up your Alliance Specialists to 20 using crates, you get the full bonus they provide thru buffs found during the vet mission. Clear all six fortresses and you can get a full set of exarch legacy gear per toon (four variants to choose from), in addition to recruiting the new companion. Soloing the whole gamut can be a slog, though. Better to spread them out over time or get a full group to knock them down fast. I liked the look of the legacy gear more than running with the additional comps, myself. They talk way too much during combat for my tastes, and all in Alien gobbletygook.
  10. They wrote themselves into a corner. The only way forward is to break the Alliance and revert to status quo.
  11. Because BW have absolutely no idea what they're doing. Half of them don't even play the game and those that do only PVP. Always robbing Peter to pay Paul. Always nerfing from orbit and then leaving classes destroyed for 6 months. Introduce a horrible RNG gearing system everyone said would be a nightmare and then making a Frankenstein's monster of it as they slowly try and backtrack to where we were in 4.0, but constantly messing up and angering one group or another. I have zero faith in BW's ability to do anything like balance classes or the rate of gear acquisition. Zero. I've stopped running all MM content on all but one toon and largely ignore CXP. Complete waste of time getting zero rewards for playing the content I enjoy. Refuse to PVP solely because I know BW wants me to. You don't get to tell me what to play, BW, or what I like.
  12. Sounds like a fun mode. I wonder if it could incorporate two turrets on defense for one of the rooms instead of a barrier to blow, like the ones in Collicoid. Defenders would have to man them and the gunners would be immune to physical effects/leaps like NPC turrets. Attackers could either go straight for the guns using limited cover or end-run and try to take out their power generators and overload the guns. Destroying both guns drops a shield over the path to the next chamber.
  13. It's weird though, for instance, I used SS on the mobs that Stealth out while guarding the shuttles for the Friends heroic on DK and it has no effect, neither does just dropping a dmg AOE and spraying down the area, implying they're despawning like you said. However, they reappear with the health points they had prior to Stealth out and if I put a DOT on them, it ticks and does dmg while they're stealthed and can even kill them and they reappear as corpses. I think they're actually getting immunity from non-DOT effects while stealthed, rather than despawning. Also, if the mob starts stealthed, and my passive detection ability is up, they appear in that wavy Predator cloak look, allowing me to target and hit them. So that's a completely different Stealth ability from the one used by the disappearing mobs, since they don't do the same thing if they're close to me. It's not the end of the world, it just doesn't make much sense. Guess I'll continue not to bother with SS outside PVP.
  14. Pretty straight forward. The skill is completely useless unless you pick the utility that gives the bonus to dmg/heals, but it still doesn't perform its primary function, regardless. It's essentially a PVP only skill. There are SO MANY stealthed NPCs in this game, with the especially annoying ones being those that stealth out half way through a fight, breaking channels and slowing down combat. I drop Stealth Scan and ... nothing. Then they reappear inside the ability's AOE whenever their own Stealth cooldown is over. I would submit that either PVE gets a replacement skill that actually does something without having to waste a utility point on it or the skill is modified so crap mobs can't ignore it's effects. This isn't new, I know. I was just going through the skills I never bother using on my commando and got irritated all over again like it was five years ago, when I came across SS. Are there any other class skills that only have a single game mode purpose (either PVP or PVE)? There must be, but I'm blanking.
  15. I love these two flashpoints and the mini story surrounding them. Same with D-7 and droid rebellion plot. They're fun, atmospheric and well-designed, with a good boss variety. Frankly, I thought the point of level sync and reworking how mobs scale was to make the whole game more accessible AND worthwhile for more players throughout the leveling process. There are currently too many flashpoints that do not have Story modes. As mentioned, slight tweaks to certain mechanics and the Jesusdroid would make them all available for reasonable solo runs. I've managed to beat Kaon solo on Vet, but it's very hard and time consuming. LI is impossible to solo now, since you NEED multiple DPS to beat Lorrick's final stage enrage timer. There are early fps storyline wise that many people will never see due to them not getting solo versions. This is well established, completed and bug-tested content, not being played by the solo community. Making things like this solo-friendly only gives the game more hours of playable, repeatable content. Similarly, the macrobinoculars and dreadseed side quests NEED a single player end mission variant. It's been YEARS. No one plays them through to conpletetion because a game-long chain of solo quests culminate in an extremely hard to solo 4-man on one side and an impossible to solo 4-man on the other. You could assign one guy one day a week to pick an early flashpoint and do a few passes on a solo variant with a test server in between more boring end of the galaxy crap with Iokath and Zakuul. Level sync would do most of the heavy lifting. Start with Hammer Station. Zero group mechanics to deal with, just a question of level sync and Jesusdroid.
  16. Curious. She's white and she's too pale. If we changed the comment to Koth is too dark, would that be OK? I mean, dark doesn't just describe black skin, right? Or even, "Koth is pale," stated as a negative trait. What connotations does that have, I wonder? Nearly every Sith character has Dark Side corruption, which makes them look look supernaturally ghoulish/undead and largely detracts from their objective attractiveness otherwise. Lana is simply a pale white woman. Objectively, that is not a negative trait.
  17. Don't hold back. Interesting that mocking a white female character's skin color is OK. I seem to recall the Koth hate thread being labelled "racist" despite no one mentioning how he looked beyond those stupid goggles. The pretty white girl is fair game, though. Sith privelege and that posh accent don't help either, maybe. Hmmm.
  18. It's weird though because the thickness of the lines and shading are slightly off between the fixed Lana face and the customizable model. Her hair is also a bit different. She still looks good but her features are softer in the freed up look. Her capeless older gear that she now comes with is pretty cool looking, too. I like it. Only one of my Lana Banana's dresses like a slave girl. The rest all have variants from a look like her Rishi disguise to Forged Alliances to Imperial officer to dark lord to rogue, even a Jedi Knight. Anything but the potato sack.
  19. For the brief period when Lord Dramath's saber pike was open to all saber characters, including companions, it worked just fine single handed. My Shadow's Lana Banana got to use it and we were twinsies because I use Senya's pike. Super bummed they changed it, but it's obviously something they could code or it wouldn't have worked in the first place. How about you can exchange a copy of your unlocked Senya Pike at a vendor for a green, no stat, Senya restricted version like Dramath's that works single handed? I'd also like to get back old move sets for companions that used to use different weapons, like all the ones that used to use auto cannons and now don't. Alternately, swapping move sets within the current ranged or melee or Force ranged or Force melee groups would be pretty sweet and also shouldn't be too hard, since the companions are essentially just skins at this point. Vette could then use spewie. Mako could use a sniper rifle. Kira could go single blade. On and on.
  20. That was me, actually. 8/10. Would do again if add Jlaw for 10/10.
  21. Cloud City is about 3000 years away. I'd be down for a cloud set sh on another gas giant. There are plenty of already inhabited worlds in this timeframe that can be used. Not holding my breath, though. Manaan killed all enthusiasm for future SHs to be honest.
  22. Criticism is not a hate crime. When you pay for my sub, you can have some influence over my tone. BW doesn't need the white knight brigade to ride to the rescue. Manaan is an objectively sub-par stronghold. It has too high of a hook threshold for 100% and doesn't need to be bigger in area, but it's spaces are poorly utilized. Small and well-designed is well within BWs wheelhouse. They just dropped the ball this time.
  23. Stronghold is not a rest area. FAIL Constant and shifting naked NPC bleed over from other SHs. FAIL Hook placement is sparse and nonsensical, with practically no ceiling mounts inside and the courtyard is SO ENORMOUS, that it's impossible not to look barren, even when filled with massive items. FAIL No Shroud of Memory-type moon pool we can actually enter and place objects/walk around under water. You already have the assets for this! FAIL. Tiny overall layout of rooms and yet 650 slots to fill for 100% - combined with the atrocious hook placement, I've yet to see a single 100% Manaan SH that doesn't look like a fleamarket. FAIL Objects placed underwater look like they're pixellated out the wazoo. They look awful. FAIL Way too expensive to unlock for its size. FAIL Obvious starship hook ignored so starship can be hidden practically out of sight and inaccessible on a roof. FAIL The massive open courtyard is obviously cribbed straight from the Manaan hub itself. Lazy. All that open space is just awful. You could have put so many more interesting rooms and courtyard layouts in the area you've wasted there. FAIL No interactables like a moon pool cover to slide open, or sub to lower or fountain/waterfall system to trigger or grapnel hook points to access otherwise inaccessible areas. The place feels dead and unfinished. FAIL After Yavin 4, I was actually excited for Manaan. i thought, "They put some actual thought into Yavin 4, with out of the way areas and variations in open and close hook placement, and a distinct and interesting interior and exterior layout with multiple paths and elevations to reach. Manaan is going to be amazing. Maybe they won't go as large as Yavin 4, but it doesn't have to be an endless tiered complex to be good." And then Manaan happened and I stopped decorating it after 140 items. It's so BORING. No clear place for a throne room, a bedroom, a command center, a hangar. Every room is almost useful, but ultimately disappointing - except for the rooftop garden, which isn't bad compared to the rest of the place. (1) Massive courtyard with an almost landing pad that's bigger than the entire rest of the SH combined. (1) Long, tight, windowless, boring corridor filled with tiny hooks. (1) Subsurface elevator hub with unusable central floor or ceiling and no hooks beneath in water. (2) Small subsurface chambers with garbage wall hooks and a single wall hook placed on the ceiling. Brilliant. (1) Massive rooftop chamber with a largely useless wall, floor and ceiling hook layout. (1) Open-air garden/patio with decent hook density and layout. And THAT'S IT. Coruscant and Dromund Kaas are infinitely better laid out and they STILL don't have starship hooks. Why don't they have starship hooks yet? WHY? The lower hangar on each opens up to a perfect place to set a landing pad. DO IT ALREADY.
