Logged in and can see all my characters... but when I click on one to go into it... all that happens is the load screen comes up for 5 mins... then it reverts back to my character screen.

That’s sucky... they should just give you a refund and then say they will contact you when it’s fixed and you can try again... Worst customer service policies of any game...

I suggest you contact customer service and get a refund if that’s the case.

It’s a shame APAC players can no longer play ranked 😳

If you don’t choose the option to do a same sex relationship... how does it even affect you or your game play?... you wouldn’t even know it’s there unless someone told you... so why do you even care?

Keith Confirmed to me they always expected APAC to have an extra 70ms added to the ping. So if you already had 230ms... they knew it would be 300ms... I do think they underestimated the APAC players tolerance and how many would leave the game... I know some APAC players who have been extraordinarily lucky in their routing and are getting speeds of 225-230ms... but the vast majority of us don’t get that... my guess is it will only be those select few that get speeds no higher than 230ms, that will stay... or people who only do casual story and not competitive or challenging content.. I also think they underestimated the American internet and how poor it is for a large amount of Americans...

It might be better to start a thread asking for an APAC player role call. Most of us have left the game.

If you can get 250ms and with no spikes and a smooth in game experience... it should be playable... but add lag spikes and it’s unplayable

Yes there was.... 70-100ms increase in ping.... takes my ping to 280-310ms

No such thing as RP, pvp or pve servers... all are the same... players will decide where they wish to play... give it a few months

Welcome to the way APAC players used to have to pvp on Harbinger at 200ms... now our ping is 270-300ms... I’m sure you can guess how bad that is... I can offer some advice from my own experience of going from 30ms to 200ms... 1. Turn your activation delay time down to 0.25s (in preferrences) 2. Learn every class and their abilities and rotations 3. Learn to anticipate and read the enemy, then activate just before you think you will need to (knowing all class rotations certainly helps) 4. Play defence tatctics a bit more and use LoS more, even on melee classes. Knowing when to disengage early enough is vital when you have high lag. 5. Spam abilities. I know it sucks, but that’s the reality sometimes. 6. If you have self healing abilities (aka Sorc), add them to your rotation to make sure your health never gets lower than half. (I keep mine above 75%) 7. Be prepared for the lag to kill you as often as other players 8. Grow a thick skin because arseholes are going to troll you and tell you how crap you are because the lag killed you (even though they think it was them) 9. Practice, practice, practice... it took me a good 3 months to get used to going from 30ms to 200ms... and another 3 months till I could play in ranked again. 10. Learn to be unpredictable. This is my own system. I don’t play in an orthodox manner, it allows me to keep the other guys on their toes. 11. Be prepared to do less damage 😢

I’ve been in contact with Keith in a few PMs to give him network feed back. He’s admitted that they always expected there would be an increase of 70ms fro APAC players 😢 There is nothing they can do to fix that... thinking it will is very naive... we could give them 3 years and it won’t get better... so saying we shouldn’t give up isn’t helpful... Bioware have most certainly given up on the APAC community

Yes, this is something that many people don’t realise... the flow on affect of having APAC and some west coast players leave... will reduce other people’s experiences as well... I’m obviously one of the APAC players that is affected by this move... but even if I wasn’t... I would be pissed if I was in a situation where Satele Shan’s population drops off and it becomes a low pop server... having to then pay more cc’s to move would be the last straw... especially when I would have 100 characters to move... Seeing as they are so focused on having the datacentre on the east coast and losing APAC players... they should have just made it one super server and merged them all into one... or at least given everyone a choice of which server to merge with... then all the RPs could have organised themselves and all the pvpers could do the same... as it stands this whole thing has been poorly thought out and it’s flow on affect will still have undiscovered problems for the community in the next few month... this is something that people other than Talon and few others... have not considered... so many people don’t seem to care about the relocation because they don’t see it affecting them... but they haven’t thought about any of the flow on consequences... Thank you Talon for pointing them out... you add a lot of weight to the discussion because you are also an East Coast player

While I would love to get a new SW mmo of swtor 2... it’s certainly not in development or in the drawering board as far as public knowledge goes... You make a good case for having a new one... but it’s only a wish for one... I hate saying this to people because I hate it when others say it to me... but without some proof... ie, a link to some info we can see... then this was an academic exercise on why they should do it... not... “why we’re getting one”... which at this point... we are certainly not

It’s pretty simple and I’m not sure why that other poster needs to keep pushing a point that is completely different to the current situation Old system East coast players on west coast servers = player choice to play with higher lag New system West coast players forced onto east coast location = no player choice and force disadvantage of higher lag

Abrams F’d episode 7 royally... how dumb was it at the end when Leia let’s Chewie (one of her oldest friends and Hans partner), just walk past her and she hugs Rey who she’s never met before... it’s like Abrams had never watched the original SW movies or understood the relationship between Leia and Chewie... There were so many other problems with the story and the performance of Harrison Ford was the worst I’ve ever seen him do in any movie... the only part he did properly was the death scene... the rest was rubbish... I do not rate Abrams as a director and especially not a story writer... he did alright on the first Star Trek reboot... but that’s the only movie he’s been involved in that I think he did right Now they have given Abrams episode 9 to direct and they are allowing him to write it as well 😳... I’m predicting it will be a complete disaster unless there is some serious oversight from Lucas films / Disney and possibly getting Lucas himself involved... IMO, Rogue One was 100 times bettter than episode 7... the acting was great... the humour was delivered properly and at the right times... And even though they had to reshoot some scenes after production because Disney wasn’t happy... it still turned out better than Episode 7... Why ‘o why have they given Abrams the responsibility of closing out the trilogy is beyond me... there are plenty of other directors out there that are more than capable and also better writers
