  1. Please tell me this is a troll.... I dont play my merc anymorr and never ever will I go pyro as merc.... I play my pyro pt and consistantly get 4-600k every match. Dont believe me hop over to my server and ask around there are only 2 good PTs on the server shouldnt be hard to find. But lets put this in perspective for you guys. Fully CD popped I run in pop incendiary missile on someone and then thermal detonator before they know I am there becaude they have no initial damage, then I light them up with a rail shot for 4.5k min on full BM targets then thermal detonator explodes for about 4k meanwhile my incendiary missile has ticked 3 times at 1.2k each (3.6k) then I flame burst for 1600 which ads another dot that ticks for about 1k and the flame burst procs another rail shot for 4.5k TLDR the opening burst befor you see us (25m range) is 12k min then by the time you see us we are in our 4-10 flamr burst range and its another 6-8k before you have time to react. Realistically what you are seeing is all of this happeming within 3gcds but it is actually longer. PTs are OP yes, bit so is virtually every class in the game when the time to kill a player is less than five seconds. It is not fun in any way....

  6. Um no.... AP PTs are 4 meter Pyro PTs are 4-10 for flameburst or long range for TD IM RS RS and ED
  7. If you had issues with merc pyro and not pt pyro it is clearly a l2p issue on the other people. Mercs dont even have an interups or second stun or pull... nuff said
  8. Also another thing I noticed you said 50% for CDs or a group, I would say that is poor choice. Think this way. 17k hp you pop your shield it effectively gives you over 4k hp if you wait till 50% you are giving yourself 2k and the numbers get worse if you medpack. Always shield when starting a fight or 2sec or so in. Also I copied this from one of my other posts to give you a rough estimate. ^this IM-TD-RS-FB-RSorRP if no ppa - dead or near dead I am on my phone so sorry for any typos but here is a rough estimate With all CDs popped assuming most or everything crits, 700+dot im, 4k rs, 1.5k fb, 4k rs and 3.8k td explosion (average for me), 1.7k rp+ the 3 ticks of im for 700+ = a super rough estimate of? 17.1k if not all your cds were up a couple FBs or Rapid shots will seal the deal.   10. In a 1v1 this should ALWAYS be your opener, why? 2 reasons. 1 long range and dot lasts a while so you can get it on them before they know you are there 2 false ppa procs!!! If you open with flame burst it can trigger ppa and the you are fked. Side note: before I die I always max my heat with tab target IM and FB to get as many dots out as possible
  11. I highly doubt you play a merc or you obviously live on a server of baddies. Bodyguard mercs get worked over, arsenal mercs are interuptable to extinction pyro mercs are viable but why roll pyro merc and not have the utility or true potential of a pyro powertech. Mercs are on par with the worst or may be the worst ac in pvp right now. Just because you do well against bad players on occasion doesnt mean mer is fine. It is garbagr and anyone who says otherwise is equally garbage.
  12. First, your spec looks fine but I prefer 7/3/31 for the increased aim. Your opener should always be IM then TD then railshot then rocket punch then railshot. With cds no healer should be able to withstand the burst. Pyros die quickly its a fact. If you want to combat this either run with a tank for guard a healer or get 2p supercommando pve and 2p combat medic pvp they will increase your shield duration to 18s and be up alot with your spec. Personally I run with healers so have no issues. Always taunt any enemy on a friendly and pull stun enemies off healers. If your healer is healing themselves they wont be healing you ergo you will die faster. Always have td and rs/ppa on cooldoen and rapid fire when needed. If you are up against 2 healers pull them apart to use the map to your advantage i.e. behind a box to LOS their healing eachother or into fire in hutball. Solo queing is tough to stay alive for any one (cept maybe sins/maras) but always use your surroundings to your advantage knowing that all your casts are instant. Lots of times at low hp a sorc or something will be on me and i stand behind a box strafe out TD strafe back strafe out im strafe back strafe out rs etc etc they wont get a cast off due to server latency and you will eat their HP. Dont hop on the mara/sin fotm bandwagon though PTs are an unbelievably amazing class when you get skilled/geared and run with premades. Averaging 4-600k in every game in my PT with just BM no mod altering.

  14. Buy the credit boxes. 1 champ comm per and average 500 creds in each so for 30 comms its 15k I had about 3k champ comms saved up.... chaching well over 1.5 mil credits just took time between ques buying and opening 3k bags
  15. Someone please get me a tissue, laughing so hard my eyes wont stop watering.... These posts of shieldtechs doing 5-800k is lmfaoroflbbqetfhax quit exagerating. You will never ever ever break 300k damage or 100k prot as a shieldtech in 1.2 no matter if you are wearing dps gear or not.... lmfao One time I rolled a snipet in sorc gear and I was like doing 1mil damage in 3 minute games... its super OP
  16. Threads like this make my heart all warm. Mercs in 1.2 are blahhh arsenal gets interupted too easily to be consistant and healing is way rough in 1.2. I have both a merc and a pt. All I can say is PTs are amazing. Pre 1.2 in a mix of centurion and champ i had games above 800k post 1.2 after getting full BM I average 400-600k in all full term games. Now this is in premades and usually with a healer, but the utility of a pyrotech with taunts/ pull/ burst is awesome. No healer stands a chance and the only class that can dream of killimg me is a marauder or a sniper that gets the jump on me. PT is really underplayed by top end players but when done right is arguably one of the best classes available for every game type.
  17. FIrst, unlike PvE there really isnt a set rotation. Open with TD always them IM to set them on fire (never open with flame burst unless IM is on CD and you are good on heat) then rail shot. Then flameburst / rocket punch if you are burning one person then use up your heat spamming FB More than 1 people, tab target and FB to apply CGC to everyone. Always always use taunts on CD to help friendlys. Use CDs everytime they are up. Some little things that will help your output and therefore help your team in the long run is if you know you are going to die, max your heat.... no point in having an empty heat bar when you die. I tab target spam IM or FB before I die. My PT is still in meh gaer with about 700 expertise and I pull 300-600k post 1.2 pre 1.2 my highest was at 820k in 6 pieces of centurion gear. I am rolling 7/3/31 also and love it. If you want to be pro you need to have amazing peripheral vision and pull people / taunt people off your healers and ball carriers. Amazing damage is nice, but if you are not playing objectives at the same time then what is the point. edit: after re-reading your post, your priority system is perfect. I never ever AOE just keep up your taunts/pulls and it is absolutly not gear dependent. Does it help? yea, but its not dependent. Oh and get rid of all your rakata. I swapped out the 4p rakata I was using pre1.2 for all recruit gear and it is much much better.

I have to agree with the Fadizzle here, I played WoW for about seven years on and off, then my brothers convinced me to play SWTOR much like Cwild's friend did to him, I really enjoyed the PvP in this game and chose not to participate in the QQ of class rebalancing in 1.2 I only kept one of my accounts active to que 8 man groups, I could care less about rated without cross server because everyone on the server knows who the best are, I merely wanted to que with my 3 brothers and a friend or two at the same time. I will try out some other gamez in the future but the deception that BW is using is really not worth my 15$ a month, while that is a tiny ammount of money I can use it for better things. I am not a fanboi of any games just enjoy spending time with friends and family and making people cry in PvP is my drug of choice.

  20. Oh look another nont PT/Van talking out of his a** it is NOT 100% it went from 30/45% to 45/60% RNG still plays a huge factor and the 8/8/25 build is done for. Yes it is way to OP at sustained burst (did 753k 113-0 in a hutball on my PT 8/8/25 in hutball the other night in 7 pieces of centurion (with rakata/exotech mods/enhancements and stim) and it needed a CD put on the refresh of RS. However 6 second ICD plus RNG of not getting procs for a few GCDs after means that the damage will go down significantly and that heat venting (when you shoot a RS on burning target) will be very hard and you will be OOM after 1kill. Now we will all be going into full 31 pyro and bursting you with TD to help sometimes getting lucky with a 10-13k burst in a 2 second window (if you time it properly) TLDR we are getting a huge nerc to sustained damage but our huge burst will be unaffected.
  21. BTW the dev post said that any gear can be re-ed by the respective proffessions- and have a chance to learn the schematic for said item as an orange shell. That to me means that all? Gear including rated can have this done till it crits. While this would be stupifly tedious I kinda like it... stacking rakata/exotech items in hopes this is true for some cool armormech recipes to make some dorra billz on
  22. I guess I may be one of the only ones actually understanding the logic of the OP. Lets say you FB RS FB(proc starts as soon as you push the button) 1.5sec GCD RS 1.5 sec GCD (that is already 3 sec) then you have 3sec or 2 insta casts before you can rest again so in reality its 3seconds different... not the sky is falling nerf you guys are calling it. I did 753k dmg in 8piece centurion. That was broken and needed the fix.
  23. I actually like the armor looks except scoundrel/operative those are always lawl but anyone who wants to be BIS wont use these anyways they will use full augmented gear for +~400 of their main stat.
