  1. Not a programer or anything special, not even lvl 50 yet. It seems like because half of the classes wear heavy armor or have access to it, heavy armor is "standard". Another way to see it, merc's are a healer/dps class. Our armor is defined by role in the holy trinity. Not good. How can you operate in the holy trinity and make it where DPS wearing heavy armor is meaningful? Force users in light armor can pop force domes/shields and make them as protected as heavy armor toons and still can turn invis/ super speed to make up not being as protected. What's the benefit of heavy then?
  2. Basicly it is a single target exploding dart. Higher damage & the +30% crit bonus on skill tree, but only one target. Knockdown and panic is for PvE. The dart will do slightly less damage to more targets. Use TD to get a 1vs1 target to around 30% health and burn him down with DoT's.
  3. Please help us with your superrior knowledge then. How much does your DFA hit for and how many shots so I can check it on mine?
  4. Bump, this matters to me. Anyone know where to get those 1.2 weapons?
  5. Here's my beef with him. All through out our little lead up meetings to where he actually becomes a part of the crew he's carring a rifle. When we kill the "spoiler" we are after he uses a pistol(the pistol I want actually). When we get him as part of the crew, techstaff... What?!?! He's not a paladin, he's a ranger in power armor. His stalking skills are second to none, if anyone, Torian needs to be the sniper and gault is the back ally fighter. As for his bieberness, I had to take the high level mando helmet off my head and buy another one of GTN. With a T-bucket on his head I don't see his emo/gang honors, bowl cut, and his voice is auto-tuned to something alittle tougher.
  6. I AM going to unsuscribe. I'm just leveling to get my thermal detonator and I'm going to shelve this game for a year or so. I'm guessing the best stuff this game will have to offer won't even be playable until a few years anyway. KoTOR3 meets SW:Battlefront 3 I'm also guessing because of this nerf that you won't hardly see merc.'s at the top of damage anymore. Leave that to the lightning fingers and pebble throwers. Radius reduction hurt bad, -30-40% damage is real bad, but not giving us the talent tree options to get some of it back is worst of all. The decent thing for them to have done was at least add DFA to the +crit for Rail shot/Thermal det/IM/FM (forgot name). I'm not encouraging any BH to quit/unsuscribe. By all means keep playing and providing the feedback Bio/EA aparently needs because they may or may not know what they are doing. I look forward to when things have settled down and/or expanded.
  7. Aged crusier? Yes, problem. The description said Dreadnaught bristling with guns. That's one heck of a difference. Mando's wouldn't call an aged cruiser a Dreadnaught because if they fought a Republic DN, then they would lose. They did blocade the Republic, I bet they didn't use hundred of years old ships to do it.
  8. This is Star Wars. What happened to cool looking starships? The mandalorian ships from other games and comics look great. As is, the whole semetrical thing with cargo containers looks bad. Petty gripe yes, but half of the skill involved in rolling a merc is not looking like an intergalatic garbage man. After developers do a lot more important things like expanding ship combat and pvp I hope they change that ship. Side note: Anyone else wish they could take that perfectly good ship that was left in the desert of Tatooine?
  9. Why not fire the rail shot as soon as possible? The faster you fire it, the faster you can prot it or it to naturally cd. IM > RS >TD > unload > etc.
  10. Please make a map filter for players so the people who don't want to play it won't ruin it for those who do.
  11. He came from a thread where someone made up 80% of players hate hutt ball and and flipped it. The numbers are still baseless and many people have classes that don't have any abilities to help in hutt ball besides killing.
  12. I hate hutt ball and your numbers are baseless. See what I did there?
  13. I hate hutt ball. I'm a merc. pyro *** am I supposed to do besides kill and slow? I can't tank, heal, or carry the ball well. Can't run fast or jump high. (Thanks for making me and my jet pack useless devs) If I was sorcery who can heal, run, and jump I'd love it. Ship to ship will end hutt ball. Its stupid and shames every character involved. Vader would have turned on the Emperor if he made him play hutt ball. Give me a filter or I'll just continue to quit because all I want to do is kill for commendations.
  14. I don't suggest spamming IM, just as the quickest way to fire rail shot. IM doesn't really do that much damage anyway compared to fussion missile and flame thrower, but an extra DOT is and extra DOT. 25 heat isn't a real problem if you're leading off with it. I hear cleanse is big trouble for our class, but I have four ways to put a DOT CGC/IM/FM/flame thrower. Rapid fire costs 0 heat and IM is instant while running. Cool down isn't a real problem.
  15. I like pyrotech in pvp. It is challenging and fun. However, you do need a different rotation for every circumstance, but the thing is you have enought different instant/1.5-2 second abilities to tool the rotation to what we need. I don't have TD yet. Example: You're running at or away from fight as fast as you can. (chasing or guarding hutt ball carrier) Inceniary missile > rail > rapid fire > whatever you're still running. Walk in on 2-3 light sabers beating on one of your friends: Fusion > Explosive dart > Missile blast or big jump channel. There are countless situations but I break my attacks down to: AoE/1 on 1/on the run You have to fight running battles whenever you can. This lets you draw them off objectives if you are attacking or keeps them away if you are on defense. It also allows you to look for LOS to use. As a ranged class we can backpedal putting distance between you and target and still go after pickups. The farther you run, the fewer will chase and you have an easier time killing who you are fighting. It's also harder to click on a moving target. But to answer the original question of why the class is worth playing; you can kill what the body guard can't, you can kite where Arsenal can't(mobility) and don't have to worry about interupt as much, and vs. all other ranged dps you have heavy armor (making you less squishy ranged DPS).
  16. Troopers get rocket launcher/minigun and BH get pistols and not allowed to use jet pack that sounds mirrored to me.
