  1. You sir just referred a friend, even though I've been playing for a couple weeks now (again). Figure its worth moving before the merge so I'll have more time to think of new names after already being robbed of them once.
  2. Just so long as they merge another server into ours. The original round of server merges cost me all my names and was one of the straws that caused me to leave. Coming back only to have it happen again right away? No thanks.
  3. tl;dr: RIP Bioware, TOR. Goodbye, and don't worry, I'm sure the Account/CS people will read my cancellation reasons then dump them in the "Not giving us anymore money, so who cares?" box at EA. 1) The game itself is fine, it was fun, but the way it was managed was horrendous. From the early spawning of way to many servers leading to population problems, to the legacy perks becoming character only and then costing ridiculous amounts of credits just to drain them back out of the economy. The sad thing is that I don't as much blame the people that were hired to manage this game as I blame the people above them that told them what to do and when to do it to maximize the short term profit of the game at the expense of long term player base. You built a great game and managed it into the ground. *** is up with having as little as possible communication with the players and then doing most of it on a different medium (twitter). 2) I bought a CE and the CE store was a f'n joke. If all it had was a t-shirt that said "I spent $150 and all I got was this t-shirt" I'd be less insulted. Now with the game going free-to-play (because we all know this is what EA will do) unless CE owners get a benefit I'll never be coming back. Not that it matters much since EA has pretty much lost me as a customer forever anyway. My Malgus statue and the awesome CE cube have lost their cool. 3) I spent weeks explaining to customer service that a guild on my server was using a racist name. I still don't know if they changed it, because I think that guild had quit by then. 4)Removing content (mounts) before the game was even six months old. /catches door before it hits him in the *** /quit
  4. I'm guessing you don't NEED people on both sides, what you will need to get HK-51, a legacy unlock, is a HIGH LEGACY LEVEL. Even if it requires a character on both sides, I doubt it would require a level 50 on each side. More like you need a certain amount of legacy unlocks some of which maybe be on different sides, or easier to get on different sides. That being said, with HK supposed to be a hard to unlock legacy item, I'd almost like to see it require Legacy level 50 and a 50 of each Class or Race. And that's after being screwed out of merging my legacy since half my toons are on an RP-PVP server and the others aren't. ( Hopefully this will change)
  5. Yeah this news basically makes server transfers worthless to me, since I left a dying RP-PVP server and rolled on a generic PVP server (which died soon after). Now I have no way of merging my legacy which is one of my favorite features. Merging all the NA RP-PVP servers would at least breath some life back into them, but for how long? At the very least paid transfers had better allow transfer to different style servers.
  6. Can we at least get a Mum-Ra species for Sith then?
  7. I thought he was my most hated companion, until I got Beiber Fett. Of course I was playing a DS Scoundrel, so Corso hated me right back.
  8. I'd be fine with the social point cost if it was tied to legacy, and didn't require grinding for EVERY character. FP/Ops Boss kills, Open world PvP kills on Illum (or on Chapter 3 planets only, so you can't grind them by griefing) Warzones, Buying an item off the GTN etc. should all award some amount of social points, even if it's only 1 per. Also, I'd love for rested xp to give a bonus to social points as well.
  9. If you can't bother to speak or type properly, then chances are nothing you say will be of interest to me. I won't call you on it, I'll just ignore you and go on about my business. Show a little effort, and I'll assume its down to poor education or a language barrier, and not a reflection of your character. However if you LAWLZ GRMR NAZI then I'll just go back to ignoring you. On occasion in game there are reasons to type badly (in a hurry, etc.). On the net, even most forum posts now have a built in spell check and a preview post. (However with the dawn of mobile browsing, most people won't take the time to do so.) TL;DR: If you don't give me a reason to take you seriously, then I won't.
  10. The Security Key vendor is what the CE store should have been, if it was a quarter stocked. The CE store wasn't just bad, it was downright insulting., Also, not only did they remove the VIP mount, they replaced it with one you can get free just from raiding (with a bit of luck)
  11. I wonder if EA's plan from the beginning was to hook players into the game then switch to a F2P system.
  12. -Lack of Communication -"Soon"TM Anyone suspect that maybe server transfers are being held back on purpose? I'm almost wondering if we'll see a content patch for single-player content before we see server mergers/transfers. I mean if I was running this game and looking at the customer concerns, I'd put everything on hold and make fixing the population of an MMO the only priority, its not like its some kind of radical idea. I'd make sure to have someone telling the community "We're on it. Here's an update." I recognize that Legacy causes some problems with transfers, but is it really that hard? Everything about this sounds like the devs are being locked in rooms with commodore 64's and told they need to fix the problem "when they feel like it", but new content is being given the state of the art equipment and the "Go Go Go" treatment.
  13. I've been thinking they are waiting for all the free time to expire and see how many people are left before worrying about the population. Catch-22 is that waiting is what is killing the population. If they could instantly fix the server populations/transfers right now they might see only 200k subs lost next cycle. As it is with nothing done it will be twice that at least. Then they hack up the game into F2P and lose 50%-80% of what they have left. There are too many heavy hitters coming out sooner than "soon" and delay seems tantamount to beating a dying horse.
  14. AS to server merges causing queues to log in: I'd rather sit in a 40 min que to get on a full server than sit in fleet for hours BFG (Begging for group). Fixing the problems with population needs to be their primary goal before they kamikaze their own game. I've even started wondering if EA is holding back on some of these fixes until the free time is up for most players to see how many are still going to pay for the game.
  15. SWTOR needs population fixes, not content fixes. Two expansions. Are these free content patches or are they boxed prescription expansions. I have no reason to buy new content when I can't get a new group for the current content without re-rolling on a new server. That's after re-rolling once already on a decent server that died soon after I hit 50.
