  1. Random Item - 9,999,999 Random Item - 10,000,000 <- I want to buy this one. I like to reward sellers for not being [insert derogatory adjective here]. Now I can't.
  2. You ARE that guy... And so am I. Windows 7 Pro x64. I wonder if it is because I installed the game from the original retail DVD and not from Steam or other cloud-downloaded installer? Also of note, all the game files are still in the "\Program Files (x86)" folder (aka, the 32-bit programs folder), even though they are now 64-bit. The game seems to run okay, as far as I can tell with {cough}all the servers offline{cough}.
  3. It was mildly annoying when I had to re-apply my custom loading screen every time they patched the game, but I could live with it. The new launcher now overwrites it every time it runs. This makes me unhappy.
  4. That is an understatement. Between all the content (beginning with KotET/KotFE) that is, by design, not playable in a group, all of these group-related bugs, and the hot mess that is Iokath, you'd almost think the intent is to discourage group play. And don't even get me started on how you've screwed up group loot. Here's a design philosophy you should seriously consider implementing; " If it ain't broke, then it don't need fixin' " Is it necessary to remind you what the second "M" in "MMO" stands for? Group play is a cornerstone of the game, and a priority needs to be placed on making it work properly. You guys need to put a higher urgency on dealing with these group/phase related bugs. Having to do the same missions twice (or more) because the game is jacked up is NOT fun. We never had these issues before, so something you've done recently has screwed the proverbial pooch. Now, please find it and get it sorted.
  5. I am adopting a "wait and see" attitude. After all, this is only the second day... A couple of points; The new UI is... going to take some getting used to. Do I love it? Absolutely not. Will I get used to it? Probably. My granddad used to have a saying; 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Well, clearly the devs operate with a different philosophy. In any case, it is very difficult to give it a fair shake when it is so heavily bug-laden. The bugs are... well, it's SWTOR. I was neither shocked nor surprised at the number and severity of bugs, especially when such dramatic and sweeping changes were made. I've been playing this game for many years, and in that time I've come to accept the fact that if a SWTOR patch fixes more things than it breaks, then that's a net win. There hasn't been a major content release in the history of this game that didn't come included with more bugs than Geonosis. Rest assured, 7.0a will be along directly to fix most of them, and break a few other things that were actually working... The volume of new story content was... disappointing. Considering this was supposed to be the 10th Anniversary, I really expected something more than what essentially amounts to "Chapter 1 of x". However, I am looking forward to seeing what they do with the little Twi'lek Padawan. I'm not quite as tired of Darth Malgus yet as I was of Tenevishkorion, but I'm getting there. This is all fairly classic Bioware, and frankly I've grown accustomed to the level of incompetence demonstrated by them every time a major patch is deployed. The "rush it out broken and fix it later" model is nothing new for SWTOR. Nor is the deranged raving and discontent in these forums for the first several days afterward. Bioware will not set foot in here until the dust settles, and people wipe the foam from around their mouths.
  6. As an aside, I would just like to say that... "Free Chip" is not a prize, it's a punishment. Please remove the Free Chip so-called "prize" from all the Kingpin and Smuggler's Luck slot machines, and bump up all the other prize odds by a couple of percent to compensate. Getting your chip back is not so bad on the Emperor's Grace machine, but the others... Every time I "win" a free chip, I hear Nelson Muntz saying; "Ha! Ha!". It's tedious enough to burn through 700 Kingpin chips (yeah, that's what I got for my 14 Emperor chips. Hooray!) without a third of them being refunded. Frankly, I'd rather just lose than get that chip back. I am actually concerned for the longevity of my mouse. Maybe something is wrong with me because I can't quit until all my chips are gone. I'll own it, if true. But even so, no event should consume the insane number of hours this one potentially can. What does BioWare get out of that?
  7. Invite Legacy. 'Nuff said. But I agree that this ability should be gated by guild rank.
  8. Being Johnny-on-the-spot with the Carbonite button is challenging enough when you're the only person on the planet. I support challenging, because acheesements aren't really acheesements if they're easy. However, some overly helpful jack-wagon should not be allowed to turn the 'challenging' into the 'impossible' by burning down your bounty for you. So while I oppose the idea in principle, I support it as a practical matter. There are literally hundreds of encounters in this game where a percentage of health threshold reached automatically triggers a conversation ( 1.:sy_lightside:Take 'em alive, 2.:sy_darkside:Burn 'em down). So the implementation of this is solely a matter of will. A better solution might be to make the target con green to anyone other than the person or party who spawned it. But I can't think of a precedent encounter that works that way. Not saying there isn't one, I just can't think of any. Still seems like it ought to be do-able though. Until they do something, would a workaround be to RESET the mission? I think doing that may take you all the way back to the interrogation phase, which does suck. But if you're bound and determined to take your target alive for the acheesement, that may be your only option, currently.
  9. Crew Skill Trade Vendor (sells only the White Quality crafting materials; flux, thread, etc.) as a Stronghold Decoration. Pretty simple. Now, before anyone says "Level 3 Field Repair Droid", let me remind you that the Field Repair Droid is a Character Perk, meaning it is per character, not Legacy-wide. The cumulative cost of unlocking this perk on 32+ alts is prohibitive. It also has a duration and a cool-down. Even if you charged as much as 1200 Cartel Coins for this single vendor decoration, it would cost less in the long run than three dozen unlocks of the FRD, and I suspect more people would buy it. Some believe this forces people to go to Fleet. But what would be the point of that? There are plenty of other reasons to go to Fleet. And it doesn't really, anyway. The presence of these vendors on Odessen, Voss, Alderaan, etc., and the aforementioned Field Repair Droid perk says this is not the reason they haven't added it. This has been asked for since before Strongholds were a thing (first suggested as a Legacy Ship Unlock) So let's have it. What's the real reason we still don't have this? I'd love to know. I'll take anything. Anything at all. NOTE: It's been a while since this has been brought up, and since some people have a nonsensical aversion to posting new messages in old threads ("necro-ing") no matter their current relevance, I'm creating a new thread about the exact same subject, again. (Personally, I think "necro-ing" is better...) Instead, I'll just link all the other ones I found with a cursory search; https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=759280 https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=759525 https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=787568 https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=959106 https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=961030 https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=979042 https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=737280
  10. It is a suggestion... in a suggestion forum. Maybe I missed the part where anyone said; "Do this, or I'll stomp my feet and hold my breath until I turn blue." If you're going to take the time to drop your pants and take a giant dump on someone else's idea, no matter how valueless you might think it is, at least make a half-assed attempt to be constructive about it.
  11. Yes, agreed. (Also, your choice of text color is a real strain on the ol' peepers... Just sayin'...) In addition to this, I would like to add that I would like to buy the 'Companion Customization' whether or not I have the companion (yet) or not. I would like to be able to pick up the customization I want well ahead of time, and drop it on them as soon as the game will allow it. But some of the customization purchases are gated behind your actually having the companion, and even having him/her/it summoned when you use the vendor! There's no reason for this restriction, other than to prevent people from buying customizations for companions they don't (and/or never will) have. But they're my credits, I should be able to buy useless things with them if I wish. "Caveat Emptor", after all...
  12. Would like to see the option for the "Joiner" eyes (a la Vector Hyllus) added for characters.
  13. I would like to see, on each character in the Character Select screen, a timestamp for the last time that particular character was logged into. (EDIT: Dammit, wrong sub-forum. I intended this for 'Suggestion Box')
