  1. Well there are many possibilities, even if you don't like them all. 1) They could do nothing 2) They could make the RP-PvP server a destination server for other PvP servers (I doubt there are many PvPers who would care about the RP tag) 3) Or do what you want and allow RP-PvP to transfer to a PvP (which I think many RPers would actually care about) The problem with #3, is that RPers who want to stay on an RP server, then suddenly have their server stripped of a good number of players. There are good and bad consequences of all 3 possibilities and I am sure they are weighing them all right now. I'm on your side. Im on an RP-PvP server (Jung Ma) and I was extremely excited about transfers and having a healthy server and then disappointed to learn we would not be participating. And while I personally do not care about the RP designation for my server, I know many do. And while I want transfers to occur very badly, I cannot discount that there are issues in any solution that need to be considered. I hope they figure out something and give us transfers as origins or destinations or mergers or something.
  2. Actually no response yet is probably a good thing. It means they are still trying to decide exactly what their response/action will be. When they do decide, let's hope it ultimately results in the possibility of transfers one way or another.
  3. In a game like this, with timed abilities (as opposed to a game like an FPS), latency should not be an issue. Personally, I like the MMO's that didn't do the "East" and "West" coast splits, as it kept populations higher around the clock as people play on different schedules. Either way, after looking through the FAQs and such, I never saw them say they would honor NA timezone, just server type. So unless someone finds a statement I missed, maybe there is a chance Ajunta Pall and Jung Ma will get transfers to/from each other. One can hope.
  4. I was surprised not to see Ven Zallow -> Jung Ma on the initial list. Seemed like an easy and obvious choice. Regardless, they are going to have to come up with another plan for the RP-PvP servers. Setting up transfer between only the same server type and time zone (which is absolutely understandable for all the other servers) isn't going to cut it for the three RP-PvP servers. Jung-ma is barely holding its head above the water right now and the few people remaining on Ven Zallow isn't going to make a big difference. And poor Ajunta Pall is all alone. They are going to have to drop the RP-PvP designation or something. Or the players on these servers are going to be completely out-of-luck as our servers die.
  5. Anyone else notice this? As a Jedi Sentinel the only gear that ever drops for me while questing is Heavy Armor. When I was levelling up my Sorcerer, I'd say easily 75%+ of the gear I would find was all light armor. It seems like the drops for Sentinel are bugged. I almost always get heavy like it thinks I'm a Guardian. Is this just me?
  6. And unfortunately you are penalized for the few RP opportunities that do exist. RP with your companion mission choices instead of just picking what makes them happy? No affection for you. You have to spend credits on gifts now for affection. RP on your light/dark side choices, instead of constantly choosing one side no matter what? No light/dark side vendor gear for you, sorry. Wish they had taken a queue from Dragon Age and given "affection" for any companion interaction, not just picking one correct choice.
  7. I understand the necessity in respecting server type designations during character transfers. However, an exception desperately needs to be made for RP-PvP servers. If you took all the North American RP-PvP servers and merged them together, they still would not have a more then a light to standard population. Just remove the RP-PvP designation entirely if you have to. Or allow some PvP servers the choice to go to RP-PvP servers or vice a versa. Again, I absolutely understand the general rule of transfers only occurring between servers of the same type. Unfortunately this just isn't going to work for RP-PvP servers. I beg you, reconsider!
  8. ^^This Please reconsider when it comes to RP-PvP servers. Even if all of them were combined, there aren't enough servers of this type to make a healthy population. I was really looking forward to a nicely populated server. Just get rid of the RP-PvP designation entirely if you have to. Or allow people to transfer between PvP and RP-PvP. My server, Jung Ma, used to have a healthy population so it wasn't much of a concern. But now even this server is dwindling. Let us enjoy your game as intended on a server with a healthy population.
  9. The question is moot as I've never seen an MMO allow transfer from a PvE server to a PvP one and I doubt TOR would be the first. Most people would agree that being able to level up to 50 in complete safety on a PvE server then transferring to a PvP server is unfair. If you want a level 50 on a PvP server, you have to level up in a PvP environment.
  10. Why does Bioware hate artificers? *The only crafting skill without a +crit companion/droid *No augments *Hardly any schematics *Supposedly we can make +Expertise items. I've wasted 4,000 warzone coms so far on the pvp crafting boxes. I got: 2 Mandalorian Iron, 3 Orange Crystals and 22 Mutagenic Paste (is this like a developer's cruel joke?) During the guild summit, Bioware showed a graph that illustrated just how little Artificers make compared to other professions. Yet nothing was done? I know, I know, pick another crew skill. Sigh.
  11. What I don't understand in all of this, is how does a company go from a statement like "PvP is more popular than we ever expected" to "We need to completely redesign and rebalance PvP for the 1.2 patch". ?!?!?! Uh guys, there's a reason PvP was more popular than you ever expected pre-1.2 patch. All they needed to work on were tweaks (done methodically) and then new content like rated warzones and cross-server matching. The sweeping design, gear, expertise and class balancing changes just make no reasonable, logical sense.
  12. After all the changes in 1.2 to my Sorc Healer, where I'm now lucky just to get 300k healing, I sure do love watching those Operative healers average 700k to 800k a match. Thanks Bioware! I sure appreciate being made both worthless and irrelevant.
  13. While we are at it please remove range from warzones. This is unfair to melee. Also please remove healing powers as this is unfair to dps. In fact i recommend we move to a simple single pvp power. Who ever hits five times first wins. That way i would never need teammates in an mmo pvp match.
  14. I'm not sure I'd bother to buy these items unless they were like only 10 to 20 coms a piece. Even then, it would be tough decision for anyone who still needs to buy stuff for their main with coms. Again, am I missing something special about these inheritance pieces that make them worth 200+ coms a piece? Is there any justification for grinding dailies to meet this massive price?
  15. So, I'm having a hard time understanding the point of grinding dailies for inheritance items. These items cost so many daily commendations, that in the time I it would take to grind out the dailies to buy just one piece I could instead out-level all the gear they provide by simply playing my alt. I thought these inheritance items were suppose to be fun things you could buy for alts to help leveling after you already have one 50. Right now, all I can see is a massive grind that is also pointless. I mean, even if these items were to cost a fifth of what they cost now, they wouldn't be worth the time to grind out the dailies. Am I missing something?
  16. Player skill, player gear, pre-mades, newbies vs elites... these sorts of issues in competitive player vs player games were solved many decades ago before there were even video games. Rather than trying to recreate the wheel, implementing an Elo rating system would resolve all of these problems. Players could be matched against players of relative skill and rewards could be commiserate with the overall skill levels of the opposing teams. If players are matched against players of greatly differing skill levels, the rewards would reflect how well the lesser skilled team competed against the greater skilled team, not simply if they won or lost. Conversely, groups of greater skilled players defeating groups of lesser skilled players would receive less rewards. In this simple fair system, players then rise to their level of skill and are rewarded based on their level of skill and the the level of skill of their opponent. Do not recreate the wheel. The Elo rating system is a tried and true system of fair-play that has succeeded for decades and works perfectly in PvP video games. It would resolve all the issues - like gear progression, appropriate rewards, player skill and pre-mades - constantly being posted on these forums.
  17. I cannot gank (insert class here) in under three seconds. (Insert class here) is OP. Please nerf (insert class here) until I can gank them in under 3 seconds. The only thing ruining pvp is people like the OP and BW listening to them. The result? Welcome to 1.2 pvp.
  18. I don't care. What ever was in 1.1.5 was fun. 1.2 is not.
  19. Dear Bioware, A lot of us (your subscribers) really liked that old SWTOR game. Can we get it back please? I am not certain why you felt it was necessary to take down the old game, to which many were happily subscribing and give us this new 1.2 game. I really liked that old game. This new one? Not so much. And it sounds like I am not alone. I unsubscribed three hours after this new game came out. Since then I've tried very hard to give it a chance over many hours. But really, I just want that old game back which I was really enjoying and happily subscribing to. If that old game should happen to come back, I will happily subscribe for it again. Thank you for your consideration! Signed, A very happy 1.1.5 PvPer
  20. As someone putting together a ranked team, I had to recommend to my own teammates that I had put together to find someone else to replace me. As I was now only a liability. Anything would be better on an 8-man team than a healer right now if that team wants to strive to be the very best.
  21. Yes a single dpser could not kill a healer and a single healer could not kill a dpser. Why was this a problem? This was good balance. It is only a problem in your self-centered, gank, glibfest drenched brain that helped destroy the joy that was SWTOR PvP. OMG?! I can't solo kill this healer?! He can't solo kill me either, but I should definitely be able to solo kill him!! Because I need killz!!! Nerf whine nerf whaw cry whine. /sigh
  22. And what could that healer do back to you in return? Nothing. As you already clearely stated in a previous post: 1 on 1 with you and a healer was a stalemate. You could not kill the healer and the healer could not kill you because all they could do was heal themselves. It required a third person from either team to come along and finish the fight. This is good balance. It is your continual self-centered, flawed logic that got us to this point in 1.2 PvP. Enjoy it. Because they listened to the mess of illogical, self-centered complainers like yourself and destroyed a good thing.
  23. Wow. There is obviously no use trying to teach you the meaning of logic. "Others should need teamwork to survive. I should be able to solo anyone." Yeah. Great logical argument there. Could you be more self-centered? lol
  24. Again your entire statement proves the point and just continues your gross contradiction. You are saying that you are mad that you cannot solo a healer and that you need a teammate to help you kill him.
