  1. You really are. Guardians are one of the worst classes to try to solo hold a node. Get a tankasin. Stealth, spamable cc, and when you finally are forced to come out of stealth, VASTLY VASTLY more durable than a guardian. In fact, unless you're defense spec'd, your durability is nearly at the bottom of the barrel. Not to mention that, per freaking usual, "the next patch" scares the heck out of me. I play rage (focus), so I know EXACTLY when I'm going to hit hard, and outside that point, I don't hit very hard at all. Fixing it so that I can't adrenal+relic big smashes with NO other changes is going to cut the legs out of rage (focus). Edited to reply to: If you're solo guarding a node and you're not already in soresu, you're doing it wrong. A huge chuck of time your first clue that someone is coming after your node (assuming they aren't idiots and run over a power up on their way to you) is you're face down and getting hammered. You'll come out of your stun at about 30% health (if you're lucky), THEN go to soresu? No, don't do that. Again, though, better to get a tankasin guard the node instead of you. Then THEY are the ones who get the opening shot (after about 15 seconds of cc'ing the person who's trying to tap the node).
  2. what exactly are they changing about rage juggs?
  3. Welcome to the world of being unable to read. I hit force push. Force push is supposed to go off when I hit it, not 3 seconds AFTER I hit it. Problem 1: gcds are only 1.5 seconds, not 3. Problem 2: My gcd was up, I hit force push, I actually had time to hit him with force crush before force push activated. Problem 3: Even if my gcd was down, if you hit something when your gcd is down, unless you right at the very end of it, it's not queued to fire when your gcd is up, you just do nothing at all (which would be VASTLY preferable in this situation). Look, force push is important to juggs/guards. We can't just not do it. And if it's screwed up (as it is), it WILL help your opponent. Name for me ANYTHING else in this game that, despite being used correctly will HELP your opponent - do that and I'll tell you something else that needs fixing.
  4. I hit force push. One thousand 1, one thousand 2, guy gets up, starts to run past me, force push FINALLY goes off, but wait, instead of throwing him off the catwalk, it just threw him across the fire pit, safely landing on the other side, with now a fire between me and him, oh, but I can force ch- no, wait, no los. Guys, seriously, this is stupid, fix it. If you can't make force push fire in the time it takes for the root from charge to wear off, REMOVE IT AND GIVE US SOMETHING ELSE THAT WORKS.
  5. Stop right here. In pvp maras are VASTLY better tanks than juggs. It is RIDICULOUS to claim otherwise. Mara/sent durability is hands down better than juggs, which, btw, is 100% NOT the way it should be. And the reason people are pissed about mara's is you make them sound like they're useless in group fights. Nothing is further from the truth. The reason mara's/sents need a kick in the junk nerf is not because their damage, their damage is fine. It's because they are VASTLY VASTLY VASTLY too durable for the damage that they do, and you are pants on head crazy if you think otherwise. Mara's are tough in 1v1 because of the ridiculously powerful move that chops incoming damage by 99%? amg it costs half their health! Ok... well, now imagine a mara that shoots it because he only had 1k health, but now a healer drops heals on him. COMPLETELY impossible to kill, even if focused by the ENTIRE opposing force. I get what you're saying about how they should be able to win 1v1's because it's all they can do (which, you're wrong, btw), but they way they do it translates into probably the most valuable assets on a team too. Seriously, why in the hell play a jugg/guard when you can't do as much dps AND your'e much MUCH more easy to kill? Do you know what the answer to guard is? Kill the "tank" first, it's pathetically easy to do.
  6. why do you need this spelled out for you? Your damage sucks, you don't heal, no one ever sorts on protection except you, and even if they did, it'd be a smaller number (by far) than either damage or heals.
  7. biochem is really useful. the rest suck.
  8. I don't know what to say. I've tried rage, veng and immortal, I've tried mixes thereof. I've tried kiting, blowing all OFFENSIVE cds immediatelly, all defensive cd's, I've used every single pet. And while I could sometimes take out elites my level, it was always a "if they got one more hit on me, I'd die." As opposed to pretty much every other class which found a single elite their level to be truly yawn worthy (so much so my merc would sometimes solo stuff w/ no pet at all). I'm not asking for the SAME experience. I'm simply asking that sw's not feel like the ragged edge of disaster when they have to fight elites their level. while leveling. I'll put it like this - there's the occasional h2 where you end up having to fight a champion. My merc and my socr had no problem doing so. My sw never got past the first pull of those h2's.
  9. You're INCREDIBLY wrong. Stuns are not actual cc's. You are NOT going to kill an elite your level in the time it takes a stun to run out. Not to mention that unless you're tank spec'd that "cc" ALSO cc's YOU. Early in the game, Quinn is beyond useless. He will NOT keep you up. Not to mention that, good god, why don't you guys get this - if your pet is tanking then they have to go through his healthbar, THEN yours before you lose. If YOU'RE tanking, once your health hits 0, you're done. I turned off EVERYTHING that wasn't a heal. I even turned off carbonize because it's actually a HUGE hps loss since he has to channel carbonize (and yes, I tried it WITH and without carbonize, carbonize is horrible). I understand how the game mechanics work, again, I have *8* toons. My sith warrior was THE ONLY TOON I had ANY trouble getting to 40. The rest could actually do h2's, whereas my sw couldn't even solo an elite his level. And what do both mercs and sorc's have that sw's don't? CC AND heals. They are VASTLY more powerful at low levels. Actually mercs are CRAZY powerful as they can take down *3* elites their level so long as 1 is a droid and 1 is not a droid - AND YOU KNOW THAT. A sw has *******NOTHING******* that will knock a single mob, droid or otherwise, out of a fight for more than a few seconds, and in that situation a few seconds is nearly as bad as nothing at all. Not to mention that light armor + good heals > heavy armor + incompetent heals. Sure it's not. As long as you never fight an elite your level (which the game is set up to allow). But why can a merc easily do h2's and sw's aren't allowed to fight elites their level?
  10. Jugg smashes are NOT powerful until a LONG ways in, you have to have a ton of skill points spent before your smash is ANY better than any other spec. To the previous poster, healers at low level are kind of trashy, taniks aren't. Particularly the flying trashcan who is INSANELY easy to gear up to a ridiculous amount (yes, i have a cybermech0. Look, I have to think you guys have selective memory. I remember BARELY being able to take on *STRONG* mobs my level when I was leveling, forget elites, Now, you can say I'm just bad, but that doesn't explain how my other 7 characters have NO trouble taking on an elite their level (and in the case of 2 of my toons *2* elites their level - and in 1 case *3* elites my level (though at least one has to be a driod and one has to NOT be a driod)). Jeez, you act like I'm saying sw's need pvp buffs. I'm asking ONLY to swap the order in which sw's get their companions, that's all. It WON'T have any effect at all on pvp, or on raiding, or even in flashpoints.
  11. I understand the desire to not have classes be the same, including the rate they gain companions and the type of those companions. However, is it really necessary for sith warriors to not have stealth, heals, and cc, AND not get their first tank companion until taris, by which time you're to the point to where you probably don't really need one any more? Seriously, leveling a sith warrior is ****PAINFUL**** compared to every other class in the game (including Jedi Knight). Could you possibly swap Vette with Pierce? I'm not asking for anything that would help in pvp (though it is kind of odd that sw & jk's do not get cc, stealth, or heals), just something that would make the leveling process not make me want to punch a kitten in the head. Before anyone brings up the healer companion (who also isn't first) - my experience is that until you hit near 40, healer companions are almost worthless. They don't have the tools they need to keep you alive (honestly, even after then the healer ai is kind of dumb - 'yay i'm at 15% health but rather than heal me, my companion would rather add his 8 dps to mine).
  12. you know, given that light armor wears are the only ones that can go nearly full orange at level 11, I don't particularly care if you're discriminated against.
  13. All of my companions are already geared. Given how much of a pain in the butt it is to gather, my alts generally just purchase armoring w/ planetary commendations. I'll make *1* set when they hit 50, but other than that, it's just not worth the time. Honestly, if you're not biochem on your main, you simply don't understand the game. There are other ways to make money, and frankly, using your ONLY crafting slot on something that just makes money vs. makes your toon better at pvp AND pve just doesn't make sense. The thing that makes me ruefully shake my head is BW ***knows*** this, and they have failed to fix it not once, not twice, but soon to be 3 times.
  14. If you're not biochem you're doing it wrong. There's nothing else at all to say.
  15. I've made several posts about this. Frankly, force choke is the single most broken skill in the game. The DESIGN of it is flawed badly enough to just throw it out. Seriously, a move that stuns ME? But the implementation is several exits past horrible. First, since it stuns ME it should ****ALWAYS**** instantly stun the target, screw resolve, screw outs, it should ***ALWAYS**** work. OR They should just make force grip baseline. If they go that route then resolve is fine, outs are fine, even the stupid "MUST PRIORITIZE ANIMATION OVER FUNCTION" lunacy is ok. But as it stands, I have at least 1 of every class and there is NO move in this game that is horribad as force choke. People will argue that there is, and they're wrong - because while there are several "worthless" moves there is only one "vastly worse than just 'worthless'" move. *AND* if you're rage spec, it's REQUIRED that you use it.
  16. op: I ***APPLAUD**** bw for trying to remove environmental exploits. You're the kind of guy that likes to cheat, right? Well, sorry they removed your ability to do so. Perhaps if you learned to play this wouldn't be an issue for you?

    Guardian need a buff

    50. And I'm not going into the "I slay dragons" tree to pvp.
  18. er... You just described a juggernaut/guardian, except that juggs/guards have to be 0-4m to do ANY damage.
  19. Nonsense. This would make sense if pvp was ALWAYS 1v1. But the instant you add a second person who has a root, any melee is a free kill. Actually, I take the first part back, even in 1v1 it'd be fine if roots were subject to resolve. I see no reason dirty kick-> truckload of damage -> root -> truckload of damage should work. If you think rooting is fine, then how about giving melee 4 to 6 second roots on short cd's, oh, and how about giving juggs/guards stuns that aren't channeled (w/o having to go into the "I don't ever pvp" tree). ......And this is a KEY reason I think roots SHOULD be subject to resolve. The throw function only SORT of works. The number of times I've thrown the ball to where 2 of my guys was standing, and a bad guy was 15 feet off, but the bad guy intercepted anyways is just mindboggling. Not to mention that the entire "root in fire' stuff is the CHEESIEST of cheese moves and honestly should be disallowed unless EVERY SINGLE AC IN THE CLASS HAS THE ABILITY TO DO SO WITH *THE SAME CDS*. edited to respond to:
  20. 1) No it's not. It's REALLY REALLY not, and you do yourself no favors at all by using such hyperbole. It makes me want to ignore you not read anything elsee you have to say. 2) Even if it were true (which it is not), I would argue that that is very poor design but the answer is NOT to leave the over the top burst to balance for nothing else, I would instead say, give them things that other classes have (which, again, you already do). If you want to argue that what you have outside your burst is not sufficient, ok, that's an argument you can try to make. But when you say you have NOTHING but burst, it reminds me of idiot rogues in WoW who would claim that they had nothing but dps - which was a baldface lie

Again, you can't go a decent pvp rage spec if you go so far in to immortal tree to get force grip. There's a veng hybrid that's pretty successful, but there's no good rage spec that will include force grip, it's too deep to get it and the other things you need.
  22. Seriously, the number of bugs in this game is truly astonishing. Just off the top of my head there's a couple of things that REALLY just destroy gameplay for me - Why is it that when my smuggler uses Tranquilizer on a mob (w/o being detected), I can go a thousand feet away, use tranq on something else, and suddenly the mob I tranq'd a thousand feet back comes thundering after me, social aggroing everything along the way, so suddenly I have 30 mobs screaming down on my head? It makes tranq WORSE than useless, it will get me killed. Dissapeering act (and force cloak), yeah, you know what that does? It allows the mobs to instantly go to full health, which is fine, however, it doesn't drop me from combat. The instant I come out of stealth, they come thundering after me, only now my companion is dead and I'm at 20% health. And on my sith warrior - holy god, please please please just remove force choke from the game. Not only do players ignore the stun in pvp, BUT MOBS will continue to hit me while I'm choking them. MOBS! They don't have any get out of cc/stun, they don't have things that make them immune (normal mobs). And that's just right off the top of my head w/o even thinking about it. There's TONS of things that need fixing. WORKING ON NEW CONTENT IS NOT GOING TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS. Seriously, I'm not asking for the sun and the moon, I'm not asking to make my AC op (since I have almost every AC there is, that'd be kind of hard anyways). All I'm asking is that you make stuff work correctly. Stop making things so that "well if I hit tranq, I may as well just kill the damned mob, because it's going to come after me anyways" Which COMPLETELY ruins the entire idea of stealth, since pretty much every story area I go to has several packs that are set that a smug can not avoid getting caught. oh, also, companion ai? yes, horrible. Do I really have to continually cycle between passive and attack? You can't have a "don't stand in bad, idiot' button?
  23. What in the world are you doing that is allowing you to hit high expertise targets for that much? My gear isn't TIP top, but it's not horribad, either, and it's EXTREMELY rare that I see anything other than a smash run much over 2.5k. You're saying that you RELIABILY hit with ANYTHING you do for over 3k? Really?
  24. ......force choke has nothing to do with delaying combat. It has nothing to do with the actual stun, it has nothing to do with the rage generation. It may be helpful that it does these things, but its primary use, and in fact the ONLY reason it's on my hot bar, is because I'm rage spec, which means I MUST either use force choke, force crush, or enrage before I smash - or I'm wasting a smash. And again, as a rage warrior you *******MUST******* use force choke. You absolutely 100% must. If you do not, you will shave about 50% of your smash damage whenever enrage and force crush are down. Look, I'm ok with it NOT stunning the target. What I am NOT okay with, is being forced to use a mechanic that essentially stuns me - AND it can be interupted, AND it's subject to push back AND it can be ignored/broken out of AND it is WHOLLY necessary for my big attack to do more than 2k. Force choke is a HORRIBLE mechanic BECAUSE it is crippling for me to use it, but at the same time I ****MUST**** use it.

The PRIMARY reason you use force choke has NOTHING to do with rage generation. It has nothing to do with the stun on your target. It has nothing to do with the damage force choke itself does. It is almost entirely all about the fact that it DRAMATICALLY increases the damage smash does. I *wish* it didn't stun my target, the last thing in the world I want is to add to a resolve bar, which would make force push not work. Interesting, and highly flawed theory. How about 2 powermechs who can actually stun you in series, but have 100% of their damage available to them? When you have 2 warriors (of either ac, not sure why you think 1 mara 1jugg is better than 2x maras) force choke you, 1 of them is doing nothing but choking you for about, oh, maybe 20% of the damage they could otherwise do in the same time period. And, with respect, you're completely wrong, and you completely miss the point. When a sorc electrocutes you, they are free to fire addrenals, overcharge and hammer the hell out of you with a long, slow cast spell, because you can't do anything about it. When I force choke you, the ONLY damage I can do to you in that channel is force choke itself, which does very very very little damage. Even if all the ticks critted it STILL wouldn't do nearly as much damage as even a decent vicious slash crit. Look, the mechanics of force choke are intensely stupid. You understand that in order for it to provide any use at all to me, I am forced to channel it, even if they break it? Also, force choke is subject to interrupt, pushback, it halts on knockback or if I get stunned or anything at all like that - it's a BAD mechanic, and that's all there is to it. Given that it roots me, it should ALWAYS at least root my target, and I would argue it should ALWAYS stun my target, reguardless of resolve. If not that, then it should NEVER force me to do nothing but stand there like an idiot. This is my entire argument. It should either always stun you or NEVER stun me.
