Really? Pretty basic software engineering to work out a way to patch different servers at different times. Just another case of small minded Americans thinking that nothing much exists outside USA.

I agree. This patch makes me really mad. I have a full time job and a young family. I get very little time to play as it is, usually get a couple of hours after kids are in bed, before I have to go to bed for work the next day. Guess what - the servers go down right on my kids bedtime. Twice this week. Thanks BW. Seriously considering dropping SW:TOR and just playing SC2 until D3 release.

So what percentage does the Nar Shadda Trade NEtwork take as a cut? I suspect you might buy it for 1 million on your main but your alt would recieve less, maybe 900,000 if its a 10% cut.

I agree with OP. I love the game, it brings back so many memories of Star Wars.

I'm actually really happy with transfers being delayed until late April. It will mean that all the new players that are just starting SW:TOR at the Oceanic launch will have a fair oppourtunity to level up and form communities in our own new space, without being subject to multitudes of high level transfers unbalancing the economy and community.

What I want to know is when the 'free transfers for Oceanic players' will be enabled, but there's nothing more than 'BW will contact eligible players in early March'. Day-one transfers would mean players that have already imported SW:TOR don't 'loose' any of the time and effort we've put into building characters. On the other hand, people who buy a new copy of SW:TOR as part of the Oceanic Launch will be at a huge disadvantage. If transfers are delayed by a few weeks it will be a fair and fresh start for everyone. But existing players will be forced to roll another class or level through content they have already played through. I'm feeling very demotivated about playing my existing characters in case they go for this option.

This is why we can't have nice things. Personally, even though its a pain in the backside to change servers at this stage of the game, I'm going to do it because its the right thing to do [+50 light side]

Pretty much the same as the ping on a West Coast server for someone in Australia. I find it perfectly playable, but will be moving to an Oceanic server so there's more people around when I'm playing.
