My thoughts are you should postpone the event rather than cancel it. You can't figure out how to make a boss fight reliably bug free so you're cancelling the event rather than trying to figure out how to fix it? o.O I should add that I did not plan on participating and that I've done the Coratanni encounter 6x now and have yet to see this bug.

I'd really just like to see the gear and items from the event return, even if only for a limited time. It doesn't sound like a terribly interesting event. There's really no good reason not to have the rewards return so achievements can be completed.

I'll be surprised if this is even in game.

Now that the Gree event is up and running on Ilum again, has there been any sighting of the Starship Fuel Tank decoration from the Tonvarr Pirates? It is supposedly a rare drop, but I am curious how rare.

What are you ranting about? First of all, you don't need to do the flashpoints again. In fact you don't need to do them at all to move on to the expansion content. Second, they don't take HOURS. Stop being so dramatic. And even if they did take hours, it's PART OF THE GAME. It's like saying "UGH, Why do I have to level 1-59? I just want BW to make me 60 right away!" If you don't enjoy playing the game stop playing it! Third, you can go right to Rishi and pick up the quest skipping over the Forged Alliances stuff. But seriously, stop whining. Go outside or something. I wish we could downvote threads so they disappear. Waste of space.

Yep. Stop making "new" content until you can get the rewards right. This isn't rocket science BW. And that includes the achievements, which as I've said before - the person responsible for managing new achievements should be terminated. A mistake once or twice, we understand. A mistake 5, 6, 7 times is unacceptable. Sloppy work. Not buying any more time cards or cartel coins until BW starts to clean up their act. This show is getting old.

The achievements for both flashpoints reset upon logout. I wonder why this keeps happening with recent achievements. Seems like a coding issue that shouldn't continually be occurring. It's okay to make a mistake the first time, but if you keep doing it over and over again it might be time to look for a replacement for that programmer. Oh, and yea. We're still waiting for those Nar Shaddaa Nightlife achievement fixes. Thanks.

As far as I know, achievements earned on another server do not transfer. Though to be honest I've not heard of anyone attempting to transfer a character to another server and THEN transfer it back for the purpose of achievement hunting. I highly doubt the system is sophisticated enough to combine them since it can't effectively combine legacy. My guess is your twice transferred character would lose any achievements earned on the other server and just resume ownership of the original server achievements.

I'm so confused. There are 7 enhancement slots, but you are making suggestions for 10 enhancement slots.

If you're referring to the walker, you must be present when the boss is engaged. If you're still on your way or in a different instance, no credit. I believe you must also be present and in-combat or dead for the killing blow.

Here's one in case it hasn't already been suggested. Add a debuff like they do to the stronghold decoration gathering nodes. So each spin you have a 5% (or 10%?) chance to get the debuff that lasts 4 hours. Once debuffed, you can't play the machines anymore on that character until it wears off. Revert the original odds back onto the machines. Call the debuff "feeling unlucky" As someone else said, the odds weren't the problem. It was the ability to get unlimited mats and certs depending on how many hours you wanted to devote to clicking. As it is now, I can spend hours clicking and basically have nothing to show for it but less credits. THAT sounds fun.

I agree that this is probably a larger factor than BW is considering. It's easy to dismiss achievement hunters with the wave of the hand, but this is precisely the type of player that is probably making up a good chunk of the revenue stream of the cartel market. I'm sure you guys can see what we spend on the cartel market. Go ahead and pull up the achievement scores for the top 10 spenders. My guess is the result will be enlightening. What I can tell you is that I play mainly for achievements right now. When they stop working, and they have, and you stop fixing them retroactively is probably the main reason you won't find me around in another year. I don't spend the thousands that some people do, but I've definitely put a few hundred in. That's a lot of money for the digital silliness you guys dismiss with curt responses. It is your livelihoods after all and EA sure isn't gonna do you any favors with your careers when the revenue dries up. Moral of the story is, don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Count me as voting for either granting the achievements to everyone from a certain date or eliminating bugged achievements from the game. I think I'd rather they be granted to everyone. Sure, I put a lot of time into them, but I'm not going to keep doing them over and over for BW to just say "Oopsie, we lost them again. Do that flashpoint another 100x. Click that slot machine another 50,000 times." Yea, that's not gonna happen. Here's the problem with how BW views this issue. They know that achievement grinders and those that really care about this issue make up a tiny sliver of the player base. They know that an even smaller portion of that sliver reads and posts on the forums regarding this issue. Basically we're discounted as a fringe group that's worth the cost of pissing off. Yes, they COULD fix the issue, but what they are saying is it's not worth the money for them to do so. If they actually lose us, meh...there's 98% of the playerbase that doesn't really give a crap. We can't change that demographic problem. But what you can do is to make your voice heard, even if it's just to say a simple one or two line statement here in agreement with someone else. And if you have an achievement loving friend, tell them to post here as well. Have you voice counted. They are reading this. Make them care about the issue enough to do the right thing. Be polite but firm.

So to clarify your position, you would rather re-grind the achievements than have them granted to everyone before a certain date. Bearing in mind, BW gives no guarantees that you would retain these achievements a second time and that there's, let's arbitrarily say, a 30% chance a future patch wipes them out again. Do I understand your position correctly?

I only found this thread because I searched for "respawn." The name of the boss is Revanite Walker for the [Weekly] Walking on Hallowed Grounds mission. Hopefully we can get some input on what the respawn time is or if the spawning is bugged. I should note I'm on Harbinger, which in my experience frequently has bugged champions that never spawn until a server reset.

Exactly. I probably won't be investing millions of credits and hours into that again unless something changes with fixing bugged achievements between now and the next time this event comes up. If they don't take their own content seriously, they certainly can't expect me to. Achievements was like 2/3 the point of that event.

It's obvious achievement fixes are given very low priority in terms of bug fixes. Given that old and new ones alike keep breaking after many hours of work they need to stop adding new achievements if they're not going to fix them with a higher priority. And I mean actually fix, as in not reset. It's maddening. When I do leave this game and cancel my subscription it will be largely because of this issue. After all, if you've done the content repeatedly and you're now grinding some things like flashpoints 100x (seriously?! looking at you Tython/Korriban) for achievements and then you have your progress erased as if those many hours never happened what's the point in continuing to grind for achievements? Bioware, I really wish you would take this issue more seriously.

My guess is they will add them in a future patch - hopefully sooner rather than later. Either they forget to add them or they intentionally didn't add them because they didn't want people to have stacks and stacks of new mats at launch. I'll be happy if they add them in the next couple of months. They should also update the boxes on the fleet commendation vendor.

Anyway, since you're playing the generational card, the "older" generations should know "no refunds" would have never passed as an acceptable answer back in the day. Is this really that difficult to understand?

Free training wasn't something I even thought of, but I'm not complaining. That said, it's not really fair to punish those that pre-ordered and raced through an expansion with bugs to level characters to the benefit of testing it for everyone that didn't pre-order it and will be able to play without bugs or training costs. For that privilege we get to pay hundreds of thousands, potentially millions of credits, more vs. those that didn't pre-order. I realize it's not really cost effective to devote dev resources to figuring out who spent what on skills and issuing refunds. I propose that instead you add an additional free item to the pre-order vendor. And while you're at it, how about raising that decoration limit above 1?
