  1. Uh...you can justify 35k heatseekers in this meta. Hell, all burst classes should have 35k+ moves. TTK is too high. 3.0 pvp required actual awareness, positioning, knowledge of other burst specs, and good use of defenses. Now people just randomly hit stuff because everyone is a livelord.
  2. Sorc is terrible against ranged who know what they're doing unless the sorc has a ton of LOS. It is mathematically impossible for a sorc to beat a merc of equal skill/gear unless the sorc uses LOS. Nobody should be talking smack to sorcs lol. A sorc has to work hard and pick the right utilities to beat anyone decent. It's finesse work and a lot of fun, but also a grind.

A pillar humping sorc can fare pretty well.

I appreciate you giving sorc a shot; we need more people playing harder classes in this meta (sorc, pt, sin), not fotm.

  3. You do realize that millenials get paid less, work more, and have a lower unemployment than babyboomers right? Seriously, **** with that nonsensical right wing crapaganda.

as a millennial and recovering snowflake, I find that hard to believe

  4. I started playing in February 2014. I took a break in April, came back in July, started keybinding, and played pretty much uninterrupted for a couple years. Just came back a little over a month ago after being away for more than 6 months.
  5. Run 110 percent accuracy on any spec with white damage; obviously specs like concealment, madness/lightning don't apply.

    Why?

Inquisitors have that extra 10 percent defense chance. Other classes have 7.5 percent. Cooldowns like deflection and saber ward abound in this game, and the tertiary stat pools are high enough to where you can hit crit DR and get some decent levels of alacrity while running 110 percent accuracy. Plus, you have to run 110% accuracy in pve anyway - it'll save you the trouble of swapping gear.

Even a hatred sin should have 110 percent accuracy; if lacerate misses, your dots don't spread. What about missing that autocrit as marksman? Would suck, especially with all the sorc healers out there and their extra defense chance.

I run 110 percent accuracy on all toons except sorc (and concealment obviously). Hell, even in 4.0 I noticed a SIGNIFICANT dps gain when I upped my arsenal merc's accuracy from 105 to 107.5 percent. But then again, I don't dps into deflection, shroud, saber ward etc. If you swap off cooldowns (which is the proper thing to do most of the time) you'll notice a significant increase in raw dps and you'll probably get an extra kill per warzone.

  6. Makes me wonder if they intend to soon put in a new tier of gear (say in August/september), so all the DPS classes will basically be back to where it is currently for the nerfed classes, or better for the buffed classes.

    it's like credit card debt

just did more proper number crunching and it's basically a 2.5 percent dps gain (2-3 percent depending on deathmark consumption). Combine that with the 5 percent selfheal nerf (closer to 10 percent due to force management issues) and you are actually overall nerfing one of the worst pvp classes (and specs).

again, good luck finding work in this industry after this game dies.

  7. Let's do the math, shall we:

5 percent nerf to static barrier

10 percent nerf to dark heal (when you factor in force management issues)

25 percent nerf to resurgence (when you factor in force management issues)

    5 percent buff to affliction

5 percent buff to creeping terror

    5 percent buff to demolish

10 percent buff to force leech (heal + dmg)

What does this spell, ladies and gentlemen? N to the E to the R to the F.

I'd be content with these "changes" if you just gave me back my 8-meter deathfield.

  8. Uh.

None of you are going to be able to get jobs in the game development business again after prospective employers see how many bees you've thrown in our proverbial bonnets.

So are sorcs basically the gimp from pulp fiction? Can you put gags, whips, and handcuffs on the cartel market so I can REALLY RP these "buffs"?

  9. I would like to see a restructuring of the reward system. Make it a little more complicated. This is an MMO.

Components: 1 per 2 medals for a win, 1 per 4 medals for a loss, no medal cap. Rounded up. Also include merit-based perks: winners get 1 extra component for top dps, kills, objective score, hps, and protection for a maximum of 5 extra components (per team, not per warzone; high performers on losing teams should get some decent rewards as well). This could lead to 13-14 components per win in some cases - a MUCH better rate. Perhaps include a base of 2 components, regardless of win or loss. That way backfillers get rewarded in kind.

Apply this to CXP as well. 2500 base cxp for a win, 1000 base cxp for a loss. Add 300 cxp per medal (no cap), as well as 300 cxp for top obj points, kills, dps, hps, and prot (per team, not per warzone, this way losers can get some decent rewards as well).

For every 100 mvp votes you get, bioware should mail you a crate containing 10 components, a vmc, and some medpacs/adreanals. Just a nice little touch. There should also be comparable valor rewards every 10 levels, increasing to every 5 levels after valor 75. Valor 100 rewards would be a sort of new alt starter kit: 10 vmc, 1,000,000 credits, 25,000 cxp, and 500 components. Make valor mean something, especially if components are going to be leagcy-wide.

  10. honestly there's zero excuse for clicking in this game. keybinding took me like 2 days to figure out, and I'm not einstein. there's a reason clickers are shamed; it takes very little effort to keybind, and your performance increases dramatically.
  11. This is dumb.

I understand you have a target dps and want to lower the spec's overall dps output on a dummy. That's fine. Do it, whatever, idgaf. Why completely nerf the ONE burst window that this spec has? What purpose does that serve? Why not just lower the dmg of all the moves by a little bit? TTK is already absurdly high in pvp as it is. Players should be PUNISHED for eating an entire cull channel. Why not make pvp a little bit cerebral again? 3.0 was amazing because you actually died if you screwed up (and likewise, things actually died if you set up your burst correctly).

You are completely changing the dynamic of the spec and the rotation and effectively cutting the balls off its killing power.

Fire your staff and hire me. Kthx.

  12. long post

carnage isn't harder to play than arsenal in terms of rotation optimization....anni, yes. carnage, no. in my first carnage game in 3.x, I did more dps than I did as arsenal in that entire patch. good melee will have a time on target close to ranged...and in some cases, if the enemy team LOSes a lot, the time on target could very well be near identical. it all depends on the situation and the skill of the melee players.
