  1. It's not really that unreasonable. Keep in mind that these sorts of bug fixes are not always easy and long-standing bugs that have little impact on appearance or gameplay tend to be lower priority. It's been less than six months since the bug was officially acknowledged and the two high priority items are already fixed, yes? These are the sorts of issues that the team working on costume parts will usually try to fit in between higher priority projects, so it may take quite a while. Especially with the new expansion in the pipeline. Still, it wouldn't hurt to make a list of the currently non-working jetpacks and post it in the bug reports section along with something to the effect of, "It's great that the two new jetpacks were fixed, but it would make my day if you could also fix these longstanding jetpack issues. I would also like to know if there's any sort of estimate when the fixes will be done. Thanks." Something like that. Flies, honey, vinegar, yada yada yada.
  2. If they earned both titles then yes, yes it does. To me it seems perfectly fair to receive all rewards you've earned. Let's say an Olympic athlete competes and wins gold medals in two different Olympic events; should they not be eligible for the second medal because they won a medal in another event first? Is that your idea of "fairness"?
  3. Well that would explain why they use melee weapons like axes and vibroblades in combat, wouldn't it? i mean if they normally used a ranged weapon, like a pistol, then it wouldn't make sense to quibble over someone wanting to use an assault cannon instead (since an assault cannon would make an even better bludgeon), but obviously since Powertech is a melee class they use melee weapons. If it was otherwise your objection would just look silly and arbitrary.
  4. Moderators, can you please please make silly faces behind the back of the original poster of this thread when you have a chance? Thanks again, i hope you got those biscuits i sent you.
  5. To be fair it's just highly unlikely to be true. Very, very unlikely. Very, very, very unlikely. Y'know, the more i think about it the more i agree with you... Carry on.
  6. Everyone simmer down or i'm turning this thread around 360 degrees and driving us straight to hell! (Ah, the joys of being a monorail pilot.)
  7. Well i do also play FF and a couple other MMOs... *departs after dumping a bucket of carnivorous crickets on the floor*
  8. Because everything about the game's mechanics and backstory changes every six months so no thread can be relevant after half a year, right? Why does an older first post date frustrate you so much? There are a few threads that have been fairly active and posted in regularly for over a year (running to dozens of pages*); do you grit your teeth and quietly scream inside when you see one of them? (Now tempted to set a reminder for myself to post here in August... 2015.) *Whenever forums allow the number of posts per page to be changed i usually set it to at least quadruple the default, so dozens of pages by my count might be a bit more for others.
  9. "And nothing of value was lost." *nod nod* That said he'll probably be back within months, and maybe he can bring some apostrophes with him for the OP. (i'd offer mine, but i'm using them.) Welcome back OP, keep the servers warmed for me since i won't be here all the time.
  10. Ooh, that's very nice. Done up like that it looks better than i thought it would.
  11. The whole point of the request is to add the option to increase the rendering distance if a player's system can handle it. The default could stay exactly where it is, but this would allow players to customize the distance to their own tastes. In fact you could add an option to turn down settings at the same time, so i don't really understand your objection. This change would just put more control over graphic settings in the players' hands.
  12. Do you always refer to yourself in the plural? Also, i don't think you used enough punctuation marks. i sincerely hope your crusade didn't deplete your keyboard's supply and that you merely forgot to use the rest of them.
  13. You have left me with no doubts as to the caliber of your intelligence and the quality of your writing and arguments. Your posts clearly show how much weight your opinions should be given.
  14. Did you read the entire thread? Do any of the suggestions work? Can you provide any actual details about the specific problem you're having? (Am i asking rhetorical questions?)
  15. Optimizing the client code. Takes twice as long to load while looking a bit more than half as good and bogs down with less than half as many players in the same area as some other games i play. Hardly unplayable, but it can be annoying and distracting at times. (i am generalizing for humorous value, of course. SWTOR actually takes closer to three times as long to load and has a lot of odd quirks about delays in displaying terrain, objects, and characters.)
  16. Well played, BW, well played. i had re-subbed for a variety of reasons, mostly nostalgia, and had seriously been considering buying a hypercrate instead of my usual policy of buying the very occasional pack and getting most pieces through GTN. Still, this latest pack on top of what i've seen of the upcoming housing has left me a bit dubious. i may have have been a bit premature in my decision to resub. Easily fixed, i can just cancel again and see how things settle out in 4-6 months. Still, i hope the hardcore fans won't be too put out by this and will stick with the game.
  17. Which probably means they're getting exactly what they came for. There are people who can't enjoy the day without at least a couple hours of tushy tantrums over things of no real importance..
  18. Ah, i should log back in and grab that as well then. i won't be able to log in most of the day, but i've got over 9,000 CC saved up, so hopefully i'll catch a few more sales that actually tempt me.
  19. He never lost his mortality in the first place, so your question is a little oddly phrased. Still, why would he want to regain relentless progressive deterioration? So instead of eventually dying in combat or due to some mishap (negligible senescence/not aging is not nearly the same as actually being immortal) he would rather undergo inevitable declining mental and physical capabilities with all the associated pains and diseases until finally some crucial part of his body fails after decades of suffering and illness? That's not exactly something you "give back" (unless the target is a masochist), it's more like something you inflict on them out of spite or jealousy.
  20. Well they've kept me interested in the topic and considering what can be done to encourage Bioware to broaden romantic options for characters, whereas your posts have filled me with the desire to avoid any involvement with any project where you're a significant participant. That's actually pretty impressive considering some of the clients i deal with in the real world.
