  1. Of course yes to pod racing and space dog fights! They will be A LONG TIME COMING though, if ever, at this current rate of updates from Bioware. Sad but true. I also agree with you on the day/night cycles. I think Bioware underestimated just how important this is for the average gamer for immersion. LOTRO has this part mastered, with some awesome day/night cycles and changing weather including intermittent near white-out blizzards and northern lights in the northern regions, and intermittent showers and rainbows in the warmer regions. I stop and admire the sky A LOT in that game, and it is hugely immersive having that. It makes it feal like a living world. Every time I see the same weather and the same day or night on each planet here, I let out a sad sigh for what could have been some amazing opportunities to bring a sense of realism and beauty to those worlds. Here's hoping though that, at least some day, these things will come to be. Happy hunting OP!
  2. 12/12/2012 so they say Still, I expect this world and SWTOR to continue on well past that
  3. While I admit there is some truth to this Andryah , still, Bioware really needs to step up the updates to make this game work.
  4. Except that we are in a content drought right now, waiting and waiting for new content. And it's not like the new content they have is that big. We get an operation (many don't do operations), then wait 6 weeks, we get a warzone (many don't do that either). That's another 12 weeks of waiting, with little updates in between that only some people will even use. Oh, and just wait until Bioware throws in another itsy bitsy 1 week "event" and say, there's your dribble for this 6 weeks period. It's frustrating. They REALLY need to pick up the pace.
  5. You're not going to believe this Andryah, but I actually completely agree with you.
  6. So you're against optional (meaning don't have to use) features then? The term optional features is a slippery slope. So no space, PvP, dye system, no new mini-games like pazaak and pod racing? And take out all the "options" in the game management, like toggling dark side corruption, toggle head slot, profanity filters, combat methods, key bindings, etc? I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree on this one.
  7. Of course dual specing will not clear up "any and all problems", but adding convenience items that lots of players will use is not a bad thing. You seem worried that as Bioware adds more features to the game, that it will become too complicated. It is normal and expected for developers to add features continually to MMO's, so if this bothers you, then you're going to get annoyed with any MMO you go to as features are added and changed. With the feature of dual spec, at least you don't have to use it at all to play the game. You can completely ignore it and be happy, while others who want it can use it, and be happy. I don't see the problem.
  8. If dual spec is too complicated for you, don't use it.
  9. That's nice that you like to take your time leveling. Some play differently than you and level faster. Neither game style is "wrong". People need to play how they want to play. That being said, whether someone levels fast or slow, being able to replay your story is an awesome idea!
  10. They can't get a hood toggle to work since the game has launched, so I doubt they're going to make a version to run on the Mac in the forseeable future.
  11. I will add my: /signed to this thread as well. LOVE THE IDEA! I've suggested replaying class storylines in these forums before, but to actually be able to do tham again in hard mode would be great. Heck, even normal mode would be ok for now too, just to remember the story, especially being that the story can get lost between all the other questing "stories" in between. Being able to try out difference choices during this replay would be great too.
  12. While, technically this is true, you don't really believe that people shouldn't complain about the short comings of this game, do you?
  13. Oh yes, I remember that one! I seem to remember Watcher 2 wearing underwear only during a holo call. I was wondering what kind of drugs Imperial Intelligence was smoking that day.
  14. lol! That is a hilarious screen shot!
  15. Venting is the frustration part coming out when making a complaint. It can still be (but I agree, not always is) a constructive complaint though with venting, IMO. But I know what you are saying. Often times there's too much emotion going on at the time for the post to be constructive. The out right anger rants (omg, I hate this game, it's horrible, may it die, etc) tick me off about as much as the blind rants of "there is nothing wrong with this game, what the hell is wrong with you complainers" though.
  16. Different people have different opinions. I like the server merges, but there are a lot who obviously preferred things the way they were before. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to voice their opinion too.
  17. Now maybe someone in game will think you're a dev. Could have some fun with that!
  18. Not only that, player complaints (when constructive) are a very good source of player feedback that Bioware can use to improve the game.
  19. ah, now we know how to identify your character in game
  20. At the risk of being labeled in that "same group of people" , I think it's mainly F2P being worked on. Of course that has to be worked on, but I agree with you, it is rather depressing that new content is likely taking a back seat to F2P for awhile.
  21. I think you're right. I can't find the source for that, but I remember it was along those lines.
  22. hehe, I have been known to grind like a son-of-a-gun when the right carrot is dangled in front of me. This game just doesn't dangle the right carrots. I could really care less about gear stats, as I don't PvP and I don't do Ops. But give me a chance to work hard for something that is rare and unique, and I am there!
  23. pfft! Damn that real life always getting in the way of the game!
