  1. When people think back about what went wrong with this game and why it became another failed mmo, this is the moment they'll remember.
  2. You are a good example of why the class is getting nerfed. You have 4 different ways to interrupt, but just want to be able to run around hitting nearest target and smooshing your damage buttons without using your brain. It's painfully easy to see how bad of a player you are just by what you say. Don't worry, after 1.2 the game will be spawn, run in, smoosh damage, die because no one is doing anything except damage, respawn, repeat. This is just the way you want it and also the reason no one will be left to play this game in a few months, because they're catering to brainless monkies.
  3. On my server and I'm sure on most servers Imps get free wins for the half the day because the republic can't field a full group for warzones, but the game launches them anyway. They probably launch with the exact number of people to fill a group, but obviously not everyone will take the queue so we start with half a team. Usually the team never fills and when it does it's too late to make a difference. This isn't a problem for the imps because when one of their cockroaches doesn't fill a group there's 10 more that scamper out to fill the spot. Bioware needs to make it so if you can't guarantee a full ops group, the warzones don't launch at all. If that means having double the required people in the queue before the first warzone will launch then so be it, it's the fair and balanced thing to do.
  4. If the current patch notes are what make it to live servers no healing class will be worth playing. Healers will be meatsacks designed to be beat on for 20-30 seconds, die, then run back so they can do it again. I'm a sage healer, the class will be completely unplayable after 1.2, so don't make one of those. 80% of your heals will be interrupted and if you do manage to cast a few you'll be out of power within a minute anyway.
  5. I take it you're not one of the classes that are getting completely gutted for no reason? I play a healing sage. I'm not overpowered, I heal a few people, die pretty quick if I'm being attacked by someone with a brain who can interrupt. They're making my class completely unplayable in 1.2, not because it's too powerful right now, but because they want PvP to be people just running in, smooshing their buttons, dying, then doing it again. I'd bet you play a dps, but even if you do you'd just lie and say you didn't, so what's it matter.
  6. would you recommend this spec for someone who plays with a healer that they need to guard and protect a lot of the time or do you think a more tank oriented spec is necessary?
  7. This is the truth. Sage healers will be completely unplayable in PvP if these changes go in. Half of my heals are interrupted as it is when they're 1.5 second cast, when they're 2.5 seconds I might as well not even bind it. Our fast heal heals for about 1500, which will really help you out with that 9k burst damage you just took. You won't find a single PvP healing sage that will tell you the class will still be effective if these changes go in as is. I've never seen such an unnecessary nerf in my 12 years of MMO gaming. Bioware wants you to just run out of the gate, smoosh your buttons on each other until your health gets to 0, then run out and do it again. I guess that's they're idea of fun and engaging PvP.

    guard

This. There's already about 43523452345 cooldowns in the game that involve doing more damage and about 3 that involve taking less damage. This game is a DPS monkey's wet dream and you want to make it worse. As a healer a tank guarding me is a prerequisite to even be able to enter a warzone. Most of it hinges on how stupidly easy it is to interrupt spells. Every class gets a spell interrupt and some are on as low as a 6 second cooldown. Which means with two people on me I'm not casting a spell, ever. That leaves me with a shield and a hot. If they did anything to make it worse for healers than it already is I'd probably just play a DPS like everyone else so we can all just run at each other and smoosh our buttons till the warzone is over like people seem to want it to be like. I'm already the only republic healer in 80% of the warzones I go in as it is so healers obviously aren't the all powerful being these skilless DPS try to portray them as.
  9. A skilless overpowered class posting in an attempt to keep their class at the top of the food chain.. this has never happened before. Pyrotech burst needs to be toned down, this isn't even a discussion. Anyone who disagrees is a Pyrotech or plays with one regularly. You need to step back and think about the overall health of the game instead of your own selfish desires.
  10. The PvP in this game is a complete joke as it is and without an overhaul it's going to just slowly die as this game fades into obscurity. There's a reason 70% of the game's population is imperial.. their classes are better than the republic counterparts in just about every case. Pyrotechs are so overpowered it's laughable. CC is out of control, your character spends 75% of the time stunned/knocked back/pulled in/pushed away as you wait to die. There's no fluidity to PvP whatsoever. Run in, smoosh your buttons, maybe get a kill or two, die, run back in and do it again. The run back to the action is never more than a few seconds, so no matter how good you are you'll just keep getting rushed until you eventually keel over. The warzones are all on tiny maps. The original intention was probably to keep the action level high by putting all the players in a shoebox. The way this ends up playing out is just two zergs marshing their buttons on eachother for 10-15 minutes. This PvP in this game probably has the least skill required of any mmo I've ever played. The best part has to be that their answer to faction imbalance is to allow more same faction warzones, rather than actually trying to fix the issues that cause the faction imbalance in the first place. Bioware isn't going to do anything about class balance because they want to please the majority of the player base. Why am I playing? There isn't really anything else out right now. I'll probably just roll a pyrotech and poop on people with 4 buttons until the next game comes along. Thanks for reading my rant about this horrible game.
  11. I'm sure this has been covered before, but I did a quick look and didn't see anything about it. I was wondering what people's opinions were on sage PvP healing stat priority? I'm referring mostly to the secondary stats: Power, crit, surge, alacrity. Alacrity seems nice, but two of our staple abilities, hot and shield, are instant casts. The buff from the hot also makes big heals cast pretty fast as it is. Crit and surge are nice, but not as reliable. Higher crit also helps with noble sacrifice procs from healing trance though. I haven't been level 50 for long, but my opinion would be Power>Crit>Surge>Alacrity. Is that the common opinion?
  12. I'm wondering what everyone's opinions are as to which relic clickies are best for sage pvp healing. I'm pretty sure I want at least one power clicky, but should I mix it up or just use two of those? Thanks

    Too much mindless CC..

I'm a sage, I should've said that in my original post. Thanks for the link about the resolve system, there was a lot of good info there. I played both DAoC and WH and didn't think the CC was too much in either of those games. A lot of my frustration is probably stemming from me just being new to the game and not knowing what class is putting each CC on me.
  14. I think there's too much mindless CC in this game. When saying mindless I mean that the cooldowns and cost of using the average CC are low enough to where you don't have to think about whether or not you need to use it, because the answer is always yes. I'm a fan of CC in PvP, it adds a layer of skill and coordination where you can outwit your enemy instead of just winning because you make bigger numbers. As it stands though that doesn't feel like it's the case, it feels like any time an enemy gets within 30m of me as a healer I instantly lose control of my character or my freedom of movement and don't get it back till I'm pretty much dead. If the enemies were popping 2-3 minute cooldowns on me to do this it's one thing, but all the CC I've seen in the game so far has a minute or under cooldown.. that's too short. My opinion so far should be taken with a grain of salt as I'm not max level and fairly new to the game, but not to MMO's. Will this change when I reach level 50 or should I just get used to being snared/rooted/stunned/frozen/incapacitated about 50% of the time in any given warzone?
