  1. It's a buff on your bar, so you can keep track. Granted, we have 10,000 buffs to keep track of, but this one is at least unique enough to eyeball and see how we are doing.
  2. 16m is rough for a lot of people, you need a really really top of the line computer to be able to run 16m well. I usually have to run it on very low, and it's bearable, but still pretty choppy.
  3. Are you still responding after you said good day? Sounds like a you problem, I didn't say anything.:D:D
  4. Did you get passed to while in the end zone, and not receive points? That's it. Its a yes or no question. If yes, then the changes didnt go into effect. If no, you walked into the end zone, it's a different issue. Or, it's a misunderstanding on my side about what the actual changes are (maybe you pass the ball to someone, and they score 40 seconds later you are now supposed to ge the points? Seems weird, but I guess you could interpret it that way if you squint really hard). Scoring in huttball has always awarded points. If it doesnt anymore, that's a problem (not one I've seen, but its possible). But the changes are not to give an extra 2500 pts for scoring, they are only to give those points if the score is off a pass (unless I am misreading the changes). That's very different.
  5. Ok, you are clearly missing the point. You are complaing about not getting points for SCORING, but the dev msg you are quoting about is strictly about points coming from PASSING. If the "6 goals" that you scored were not scored off a pass, than the quote you quoted (in this and another thread) is completely unrelated. I'm not saying that scoring 6 goals and getting no points isn't a problem, it is, but by you quoting the dev msg about passing scoring, you are implying it is related to that. And if you weren't standing in the end zone and received a pass to score, than that dev msg has nothing to do with it. You are literally working against your own point, because you are suggesting that the problem is with the PASSING points, when the problem is the SCORING points. Also, you posted this in General Discussion, which means it's directed at everyone. If you want this to primarily be pointed at the devs, put it in the bugs section, and if you don't want anyone responding to it at all, send a message to Keith or Eric, and don't put it on a forum that anyone with a subscription can respond to.it. And I have played huttball, and I've gotten points for scoring. That's why I spent the last 2 posts I made attempting to clarify what you were saying. Were you standing in the End Zone, got passed to, scored, and didn't get any points? Then that is related to what you posted. Did you walk in holding the ball, and didn't get points? Unrelated to what you posted, but also a problem (but not one that I have seen, which means that it is not a widespread issue, which is useful information for the devs to know. Why is it only affecting a subset of the population?) This is all useful information for the devs to know, and I would think you would want the devs to have as much information as possible so they can fix it.
  6. Lol, and once you pay my sub, you can have me shut up when I call you out on crazy statements like "What's the point of trying to win, I already have 10 bazillion wins, so I don't need any more, so obviously everyone else doesn't either". Until you do, shut up and play.
  7. It's a warzone (a huttball to be specific).
  8. First, please turn off arenas. I only was on for about a half hour unfortunately, but all I got were arenas. I'm on here to help test, so I'm more than happy to wait around fleet for a while to get a pop to actually test. 2nd, is Muscosoontm actually you? Just wanna know if I should trust what he says Edit: I'm pretty sure he is, and if so, I mentioned this to him already, but maybe an easier change than trying to remove all the arena's from rotation would be to increase the "pop arena" timer to like 60 minutes instead of the 5 minutes it's sitting at now. No idea if that actually is easier, or would just cause more problems, but figured it wouldn't hurt to mention.
  9. Unless of course you arent rank 300, dont have full gear, dont have 2bn credits, and arent max valor of course.
  10. You get points for killing the ball carrier too. And you specifically mentioned that you scored 6 times, but unless those 6 times were you standing in the end zone and getting passed to, you would not have gotten those 2500 points (and maybe you were, it's not clear from what you said) but if not, the text you are quoting has nothing to do with the problem. Scoring 6 times and getting 2k pts definitely sounds wrong, but by you quoting the yellow text, you are suggesting the passing scoring is the problem, and I dont think that's the case, unless again, you were standing in the end zone when you got passed to, then it is a problem. And last time I was in a match I scored 3 times and got over 8k pts. But I walked in myself, I wasnt passed to in the end zone.
  11. The changes specifically have to do with how scoring works with regards to passes. So if you receive a pass, you get 250 now, and if you receive a pass in the scoring area, you get an additional 2500. But if you walk in, and you are the one who picked up the ball in the first place, you get no new points you didn't get before 5.9.2. P.S. if the dude death matching in the corner gets 9000 objective points, he probably either did a lot of passing, or killed the opponents ball carrier a lot. You don't get points for death matching against a random player who doesn't have hte ball.
  12. Hey, why are you taking this thread so seriously? It's just a forum about a video game, give me a break. Your reproach is noted, but so unnecessary. It's a stupid forum thread about a stupid game for crying out loud. In fact, I look at the forums nowadays and feel terribly sorry for someone who spends their life doing little other than expressing scorn for others on a forum. Lighten up a little! Obviously, the above isn't what I actually feel, but just because you think a certain part of the game is stupid or unimportant doesn't mean that that is true for everyone else.
  13. Speaking of necro, where are you getting the stats? Ixparse doesnt look like it's been updated for almost a year.
  14. Shrug. Not what he was asking. If he asked that, there are definitely way to improve the odds of people listening (mostly be polite, or directly whispering someone), or just take on the roles that other people aren't (i.e. someone is leaving after capping, be the first person to the node instead and you guard). And sometimes you just gotta suck it up. But again, he wasn't saying that people not listening is the issue. He said that it takes too long to explain the maps, and my one line explanations of each map was designed to show it is possible if you just focus on the important bits.
  15. Voidstar: Use East/West, fight on doors, call out incoming, don't leave door unguarded. Stealth goes one way, everyone else the other when attacking. Bam, good enough. Odessan: Get powerups, fight on nodes. If you get a green powerup, use it on a blank one, red on on of theirs, the other 2 on ours. Ancient Hypergate: If you cap, guard. Call out incoming, stand more than 10m away from pylon so you can't get sap capped. Kill enemies in mid, and grab orbs to take to pylon. Pay attention to chat if someone calls to attack theirs. Novare Coast: Don't leave node unguarded. Call incoming. Attack mid unless you need to help defend node (or are defending node) Huttball: Protect ball carrier on our team, and get ahead for passes. Attack ball carrier or support (tank or heals) on other team. Alderaan: Don't leave node unguarded. Call incoming. Default is attack/defend mid since that's where most fighting usually happens. Stay more than 10m away from node if guarding so you can't get sap capped. That's it. Yes, there are plenty of intricacies on each map that a more experienced player is aware of, but you can easily give the basics of each map to avoid people from making really bad mistakes quite easily.
  16. Next time you do it, set up a security key on your phone. It'll make it so you don't keep dealing with the one time password nonsense.
  17. There is a dropdown at the top of the selection that let's you choose the spec you are looking at. The default is your current set, but you can choose the other specs, or "all".
  18. Actually, what you will probably want to do is make sure all the accuracy you need are in the 7 set bonus pieces (head, chest, waist, wrist, gloves, pants, feet) because the set bonuses are different between healing and dps, so you'll have to swap those pieces anyway. Then you can keep the relics/earpiece/implants/mh/oh the same between both specs, so it is just those 7 pieces you'll have to swap. This one is decent. https://vulkk.com/2018/05/06/swtor-operative-lethality-guide-stats-gearing-abilities-utilities-tips/#INTRO
  19. What Eric said is that everyone in the premade will be given the same rating as the highest person in the group. So it's all 4 people in the premade are considered to have a 1900 rating (even though 1 is 1850) so there are still 8 people on the team who's rating is taken into account for balance purposes.
  20. I think (with my sum total of 0 experience in advertising) that a spot before The Force Awakens would have seen a pretty good ROI, I think a lot of folks would have gone home and downloaded the game to at least give it a try, just from the hype and nostalgia of Star Wars surrounding it. But that was a twice in a lifetime shot (the other being the Phantom Menace I think it would have worked for too), and I don't think it would be worth it for any of the other SW movies.
  21. Please put the nerfs back in for Tyth and A&E as well. The OP as released was more difficult than pretty much all the other HM bosses in the game, which was fine for the progression in the beginning. However, at this point there is no point in making the OP inaccessible to a large portion of the HM raiders in the game. Nerf these bosses so folks can start doing PUGS for this like almost every other HM OP in the game allows for.
  22. Honestly, I don't even care too much about this. I pretty much only care about dps numbers when lack of DPS causes a wipe (usually to enrage, or another mechanic that requires good enough dps). Then I want to see numbers. My policy is if I join a HM OP (other than EV/KP) and Starparse isn't used, I'll give it two wipes (Starparse also has a death recap, which is ridiculously useful) otherwise I'm out. I'd love it if BW put one in, just for people's own sake. It doesn't have to be public, just something for people to see for themselves how they are doing. Because a lot of folks breezed through solo content and so think they are great, when actually they are doing really poorly. Unlike what Andryah thinks, it's pretty rare that the person who is cc'ing adds, peeling off the healer, throwing out cleanses, and doing every other mechanic and pulling 500 less dps then someone else is gonna get crucified for it. It's the person who is literally doing none of that, and is basic attacking and pulling 2k dps that causes the boss to enrage (or someone who is doing something they shouldn't. I remember a Grob'thok HM where we were in Starparse, and one of the dps kept taunting off the tank. He was trying to pull Grob'thok under the magnet, cause the tank wasn't very good, but no one died anyway, until we hit enrage, and this guy pulled 2.5k dps, and then started blaming the tank. Dude, I get you were trying to help, but at the end of the day, you are the one who wiped us, not the bad tank. We pulled again, healers basically healed us through bad tanking, and this guy actually focused on the boss, and we killed it no problem).
  23. Forgive me for assuming that you have a habit of exaggerating or using hyperbole given these statements in the last day. Alternatively, you have done 2k PVP matches in the last 24 hours, in which case, I am very impressed. Eric specifically mentioned experience (which I assume means games played, since there isn't another way to look at that) with regards to GSF, whereas everythign else he said was about both GSF and PVP. They are looking at skill, but they are not going to release it so people can't game the system, because I guarantee, as soon as they do release the info, people will immediately start throwing matches to get lower rating. There was literally a thread about this a few days ago about people throwing matches in lowbies in order to game the system, and if they release the actual results, it will tell a lot. If you (and the others who are saying "matchmaking is broken") want to be taken seriously, take screenshots of the final results of a bunch of matches. We can see the scores, we can see the DPS/Healing/Guarding/Objectives, and then we can discuss it. But right now, all it is is anecdotal people who have played a lot of PVP, and have said many times that they are good, are being put on teams with people who are pretty bad, which is literally what matchmaking is designed to do. Also, don't bother including matches that required backfilling. The only match that I was in since the patch dropped that I would say was a "stomp" (i.e. a significant difference in final outcome objectively speaking) was one where at the end of the match, my team has 17 names listed on it, vs. the 8 on the other team. I'm willing to give BW a pass on backfilling matches, because better to at least have a body then it be 5v8 the whole match.
  24. My understanding has been "in queue" means "in queue waiting for a pop". Considering the folks inside matches is kinda silly, seeing as how there are matches that can go for 15 or even 20 minutes or more depending on how things go, and for all BW knows, every single person in the match may leave after the match. No, the way they are doing it is almost certainly looking at how many are in queue (waiting for a match) and then making sure the person waiting the longest doesn't wait longer than some arbitrary amount (5 or 10 minutes probably) and if there aren't 16 people by that point, do an arena. It is definitely not including people currently in matches, because at 8pm, there weremultiple matches of multipe wzs going on at a time, and since you got an arena, there is no way that could have happened if that only happened when there were 8 people total in queue and in matches.
  25. Since Seattle is one of the northmost cities in the US, the country where the SWTOR studio is located (incidentally it's located in Texas, about 1500 miles, or 2400 km south of Seattle).
