  1. Question: What was BW's subscription target and did they hit that? If you have to say "I honestly don't know what BW's subscription target is, and thus I don't know if they hit it" then you should also be mature enough not to gripe about the loss of 300k subs. Wow is losing subs very fast, and it's still considered a successful game.
  2. It means I don't want to wait in a que to play so I roll on another server. You explained it well because you know what I'm talking about, but can't speculate on the possibility of people not wanting to wait in a que to play?.
  3. How possible is it that I try to roll a toon on a heavy server (which happens to have several of my irl bros on it) but it has a cap and I can't. I roll on a scrub server and start lvling. Oh, hey, they raised the cap on my friend's server - let's reroll there. Your frame of reference is anecdotal. Sorry.
  4. >Not inspiring players to commit to 24 hour play-periods. Just another obvious fail for TORtanic.
  5. Hold the phones! SOME servers may be dead?!
  6. My comment about this post will be slightly less useful than said post. Oh the Ironicy
  7. Films. Probably something to do with how lasers in space stick out on a black background. Red is more neutral, where green is more obvious. Bad guys will obviously shoot the lasers that jump out at us - heightens the tension.
  8. OH wait, you're serious. Let me laugh even harder.
  9. Perhaps you should moderate the amount of time you spend playing computer games?
  10. I heard about it, yeah. I just don't look into games any more because I set expectations that can never be met. Also I'm still recovering from Warhammer shell-shock.
  11. Never hear/read anything about The Old Republic. Watch friends play it. Still don't care. Friend buys 2 copies (one for me one for lady friend) with 2 months subscription for each. Have zero expectations. Enjoy immensely. Play non-stop with lady friend and irl bros. Most likely resub because have disposable income and not poor. partypartypartyparty
  12. Another strawman argument. Quote the person who said a player has to question everything they do. I'll hold my breath in the mean time. My offer remains. If you would like to publicly state that you cannot differentiate between an enormous game breaking bug that thousands of players were well aware of and a bad implementation, you are free to do so. I'm honestly trying to figure out what you just said. But.. If you questioned it, submitted a ticket, and then exploited the bug, that's bad. If you questioned it, submitted a ticket, and didn't exploit it, that's good. We're not talking about minor nuanced stuff here. There is no way a normal human could see what was happening and think "This may be OK to do..". It was obviously a bug and people were exploiting it for great gains. No one is asking you to question yourself every five minutes. They're asking you to make a mature and moral decision regarding a very obvious, and very exploitable, bug. That you are so on the defensive suggests you are more culpable in this than you are letting on. Poor excuse. Bugs happen. Exploiters happen. Bans happen. Time to be responsible. It's caused by how you write your posts. Regardless, it obviously wasn't a planned implementation, thus your question is silly in nature. It creates a ticket that their support department has to actually look at and take the time to delete. I sure hope they ignored it, as you suggest they did. Obviously not. When you camp a spawn (that you're not even supposed to be in, per game design) and kill players who haven't zoned, that is called exploitation. This whole "camping isn't illegal" is a red herring. If they were in your spawn, where they are supposed to be insta-killed, aoeing spamming you as you rez (and killing zoning players), then yes, that would warrant a reasonable complaint.
  13. Probably not. Must be Imp. Validate this statement by sharing how much valor you earned on that day and how much you have earned daily since then? Maybe someone with more time can calculate your math. Odd shift into insult mode - it's quite jarring. I'm level 18. I enjoy watching exploiters share their butt-frustration as their potential ban looms, though.
  14. I did not make a distinction between the two - would you like more straw for that argument? If you wish to publicly state you cannot distinguish between an obvious exploit and a purposed implementation then by all means do so now. This is immature. The responsible thing to do is bug the exploit and wait for a fix - not abuse it and gain. You were obviously aware that what happened was not what was supposed to happen, so any claims of ignorance wash out right here. It was not an implementation - it was a bug. Whose doing who? Your opinion on this subject does not change the fact that what was happening was a large number of players were exploiting a bug. Why don't you start a thread about it? The players who abused this exploit are paying with their accounts, as they should. That's because it is perhaps one of the silliest questions I think you could have asked them.
  15. Yes. If you participated in the area before the patch then there is no excuse for not being aware that what was happening was an exploit. If you were new to the zone post 1.1, you have no excuse for participating in something that others openly and blatantly talked about being an exploit. If the player honestly made a mistake, then players like Agenteusa are to blame for the innocent player's account being banned - not BW.
  16. No, you're right. BW most likely intended for Republic players to be killed en masse in their base before they even zoned in. It doesn't sound remotely like an exploit.
