  1. Toonces. Put him in one of those big speeders and park on top of a mailbox or GTN terminal.
  2. I guess the devs and testers find subtitled movies to be too annoying to sit through, also. As if Huttese is any more annoying to listen to than any other language a person does not understand.
  3. I'm not on your server, OP, but here is a joke in honor of the release of Cathar: Where does a cat go when it loses its tail? HAHAHAHAHA
  4. None, sorry no interest in Cathar. Looking forward to more iconic races in the future, though.
  5. Many of us are very willing to spend $ on the CM when we see value, as, for example, I find in the Collections features. When the value isn't there, such as with dyes, you're going to hear negative feedback. This is as it should be, as BW needs to hear the feedback.
  6. You have to admit, though, that her music is pretty contagious.
  7. I respect your opinion and all of your points. Regarding the question above, IMO, they shouldn't have worried about making any colors more rare than others. In City of Heroes, for example, every player had access to the same palette for costume design. It never resulted in all villains wearing black and all heroes wearing white. Just the opposite, actually. The only reason I can think of for BW to implement in this way is to squeeze CC out of people for the gambling packs. I bought about 10 of them last night to see how they were, and will not be buying anymore. I'd rather spend the money on Powerball tickets.
  8. The new female hair is very nice. It encourages me to roll a new Consular as I have never gotten a toon of that class past level 18.
  9. I'll try keep this short, but I wanted to leave some feedback for Bioware on two of the new features in 2.1, and why one of them is fantastic and the other is mediocre at best. Collections. This is a fantastic idea that came out of nowhere a couple of weeks ago. It makes complete sense for everyone, in that it encourages players to spend a few more CC that, without the feature being implemented, BioWare would not have received. For example, I would never have bought five sets of the new-ish Trooper armor to equip Havok Squad, but with the Collections feature I have already done so, as well as equipping my new Operative with some nice orange gear very early in his career. BW has 'made' almost 2000 CC from me already due to Collections. A+ Dyes. This feature must have been designed by someone else and approved by...a monkey? Inflexible, ugly, dependant on gambling packs and ultimatey unsatisfying as a means of customization. We'll see what happens as dye modules start making their way onto the GTN today, but as of last night, this features was a disappointment. D- (Woudl have been an F, but, cred where it is due: with some work, it is technically possible to recolor your armor in a pleasing way. The results just aren't worth the effort.) * All posts should, by default, be considered the opinion of the poster.
  10. I've been looking forward to this release since they announced it as I have several characters and companions whose armor I wanted to tweak a little bit with the dye modules. I'm not even that interested in black/white/purple, but more so in shades of grey and other military colors. I was looking forward to trading in my CC for them. It never occurred to me that we would not be allowed to buy the specific colors we wanted from the CM. I haven't been able to play today as I'm at work, but over the course of the day, as I've been reading about this, my enthusiasm has turned to bile.
  11. He must have felt like the guys who used to write cigarette commercials proclaiming how great life is when you smoke a carton of Marlboros a day.
  12. 180 degrees out of phase with reality, as usual. Cheeze is refusal to fix an acknowledged problem for a truly dumb reason.
  13. Terrible decision. Something that is broken or not working as intended should be fixed, period. You are going to potentially have people upset either way, so why not err on the side of making things right? This decision really makes no sense. I don't care much about this particular armor piece, but this sets a bad precedent for dealing with future errors.
  14. Cathar were a pretty lame choice. It would have been nice to see BW pick an A-list species that is really iconic in the movies. I won't be spending CC to unlock them, but I might roll a new Sith bounty hunter who specializes in hunting them.
  15. Would be nice to have a tab in the GTN interface that we could add specific items to, and always see the current lowest price for that item, with a 'buy' button.
  16. Not trying to belittle your point, but the STAP is also part of the digital upgrade, so it is available to many more people than just CE owners.
  17. But...but...this is the Internet.
  18. This may be slightly off topic but... Does it seem to you like Bioware went into this whole MMO thing without researching existing MMOs, particularly with an eye to what works and doesn't work? Many of their mistakes, like the one being discussed in this thread, could have been avoided if they had done their homework before the first line of code was written. This whine is complete. Got to go play.
  19. Agreed. Enjoyed the stories up until the heroics, when I untracked them.
  20. Bioware, Please do not put PvE quest objectives (such as the moisture vaporator for the GSI daily on Tattoine) in PvP zones. It is embarrasing for us PvE players to have to try to sneak into the Outlaw's Den to get the objective, hoping that no one is hanging around to kill us. I'm *not* saying this because I mind getting killed. It happens whether playing PvE or PvP. What I am upset about is being forced into a gameplay mode that, by explicit choice, I am not experienced with, and for which my character is not equipped to be competitive. I can only guess that your purpose in doing this is to encourage people to try PvP. I (and I believe many others) do not PvP and will never PvP, so forcing us into PvP zones only serves to frustrate. Thanks for listening!
  21. Last night while digging on Alderan I got the message that my droid had found something interesting, and it brought an ornate looking chest back to me. But then, I received nothing. Nothing appeared in my inventory and no message appeared in chat. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it possible that some parts are bugged in this way?
  22. There is a silver lining in this. Since the new high-end armor is always so hideous, I don't have to spend time ginding comms for it or doing ops and such. The stuff in the CM, cartel packs and some of the original orange gear are much nicer.
  23. 1000 cc will buy a single set of armor, when the armor is on sale. While much appreciated, I am not certain that the additional coins are an adequate substitute for regular updates to the CE vendor.
  24. True, lesson learned regarding exclusive in-game vendors.
