  1. Older threads may have been created about this request. But, as a commando I would be more than willing to spend american $ if need be in order to be able to unify my weapons color to match my armor color. Thanks
  2. I apologize if this thread is in the wrong place, i'm not entirely sure where to put it. I have been running Op's nearly every night for the last two weeks after returning from a 5 month hiatus. I have recieved set items drop from bosses in both Dread Palace and Dread Fortress. Upon turning the tokens into the supply vendor for my set pieces (with the correct set bonus), I have noticed that the least valuable stat for DPS commandos is on multiple pieces - Alacrity. I am unsure as to why the game has decided to go back to a problem that existed when the game first released when BW decidedly to just haphazardly attach what appear to random stats to set pieces. Maybe I am missing something or maybe my class is an outlier and this problem only appears with gunnery commandos. Just wondering if the rest of the community shares this problem or has heard of anything changing in the near future to resolve the issue.
  3. it would be quite nice if their was an option to only allow 1 or 2 votes for this poll. This information really is only significant in judging how individuals who frequent forums consider as important, not necessarily the games community. A proper sample size would have to be advertised to the greater community and not just the socially outgoing individuals that these forums tend to attract. Still, this was rather interesting to see what these forums think are of high value for BW to contribute their development resources.
  4. I started playing SWTOR three days after release and played continuously through until last april/may (right at when Gree was introduced). I had many of the same complaints as what were being shared by the community on the forums at them time and finally grew weary enough to cancel my recurring subscription. I returned to the game October 28th and decided to see what has changed in only 5 months, knowing full well that's not a tremendously long period of time in development speak. My expectations were set to what I thought was an appropriate level and decided to give the game a week to determine if, in my opinion, I had made a good choice in returning. I have to say, this game has made excellent strides in improving quality of life and adding a considerable amount of content. Granted much of that content was released in the ROTHC "xpac" and through the CM, but content is content. The player base appears healthy on nearly every planet I visited [through binocular missions/seeker missions (btw these are nasty time sinks)] and the population appeared to be considerably more friendly than nearly any other multiplayer game I have played in recent memory. Basically, this rant is just a way to appreciate the positive adjustments BW has made to this game in the last few months and I hope they continue with the good work.
  5. actually I just got done whining to the cable company and reverted my monthly payment back to the new customer price. Your example is Moo and if whining works once, then their will never be and end. I would strongly recommend it not bother you, otherwise your in for a "long", lackluster, and dissapointing future.
  6. This will NEVER happen in this game every again for something that is cosmetic. EA has a grip on anything that isn't required (and in some sircumstances even required), and has slammed the iron fist of revenue generation. Welcome to Free-To-Play
  7. This sounds an awful lot like EVE online. Not saying that these ideas are a bad thing (EVE has been around for a decade now and still going quite strong), but I do agree that EA should not invest an entire expansion on purely nothing but space. I wonder if it is possible to have an entirely sperate game engine than the frostibe incorporated into swtor for a new space project.
  8. haha, this game was not made in the 70's
  9. I did not have time to read this entire thred (stupid job!), so i apologize in advance if i repeat something. Our first exposure to MMO's was something that we had never seen. Massive world that was open ended and multi-player was something that we could only immagine about before that. I have wondered what the future of the genre will be because i do agree that you will never capture the same initial amazement that we had 10-15years ago in just another MMO. Ive started to think that the future may be something like MUDs but in a 3D world. Users pay a small fee to support servers and "testers", but for the most part the content is entirely user created. Most of us from the initial MMO's are growing up, getting older, and learning skills that could seriously be beneficial to this genre.
  10. I am taking a database management course in college right now, for the miniscule price of 35k a year ill design and maintain something for you BW. Just sayin, crafting a database isn't all that simple, however crafting one that simple queries cause everything to end up fubar sounds like reaaaally poor design.
  11. This costs $ - ever since EA made this game f2p the entire goal has been to make as much $ as possible. This is achieved by reducing costs and selling easily created cosmetic nonsense to a market that we as a customer spend WAY too much money on. Us (the player base) will continue have our expectations shattered until the game becomes so futile that it ends 6ft under. I wouldnt be remotely surprised if makeb is one of the biggest dissapointments in this game since the first release of ilum.
  12. and when it ends only to be started again at an unkown time, then what do we do? Boredom etc.
  13. Heh, you gave me a wicked flashback to shawshank redemption
  14. This. SWG may have had some great qualities that havent yet been implemented into this game. This just comes to show everyone the true potential a star wars game has and why the suggestion forum blows up with ideas with so few posts from devs... It's just not feasible to take all of our great and wonderful ideas and realistically implement them within a short term time period. Much less, god forbid, a bw dev says "this is our plan on what to release in the next 3months,6months,year", the simplemind fans of this game would hold them to it. Anyone who has designed software knows **** happens and alterations in the longterm plan always occur.
  15. It may be a huge slap in the face to those of us who have been either pvp'ing or running OP's since release, indeed i feel the slap as well. However, the new level cap is more of a statement of creating a "new game" and thus a realistic strategy as to "wipe the slate clean" for people who are just recently reaching current level cap. Also, im not %100 sure about this, but I thought i heard that the class story from 1-50 will not be continued again and a new story will begin anew. This story will be universal for all players per faction (imp/rep)
  16. 1. Absolutely correct even without day/night or weather being implicated into the situation. The observation that VERY few NPC's, if any, have any sort of patrol route or interaction with other npc's is/was one of my biggest gripes last summer with this game. We have been watching the same 4v4 repub-vs-imp npc blaster fight on Balmorra since the game was released... I dont think day/night cycle should be the trigger point to initiate NPC actions.. 2. If you were trying to make the game as absolutely realistic as possible I would agree. However, the issue that this is a multiplayer game and everyone has different schedules makes this unrealistic considering most missions request certain NPC kills. 3. They kinda have environmental death already with exhaustion zones. Again referring to #2's response, this game cannot alienate specific time frames for gameplay due to the multiplayer aspect, even if you are correct with realism. I suppose i should have been more specific when explaining my idea of "immersion". I do agree NPC's should have some form of script/routing, as well as, adding daylight/nighttime progression would also help with this immersion immensely.
  17. I second this! This is fantastic, and the photoshops were just brilliant!
  18. Its a matter immersion and making the already extremely stale planets seem less static. The issue with "not seeing anything" seems a little exaggerated being that its not black outside.. If its a full moon, in many cases planets have multiple moons, it could be nearly as bright as daylight with a different tint. Seeing as their is no such thing as weather in this game, clouds would never be problem.
  19. a response to this topic was posted on this thread http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=41864&page=118 in the suggestion forum. BW was giving the excuse that it takes an immense amount of memory in an already FPS laggy atmosphere (fleet).
  20. A full day/night cycle in 6hours IRL time.. each planet offset by 1hour difference, allowing for every planet in the game to be at a slightly different time than any other planet (except duplicate planets of the same timeframe). Changing shading in already exsisting planets would be extraordinarily difficult, and as a result we most likely will never see this implemented on the current planets. We can always be hopeful that future planets will contain this feature. Something just sounds very appealing about seeing moonlight reflecting off of shiny speeders and starlight on the tundra of hoth and desert of tatooine.
  21. Hahaha, funny stuff. seriously tho, that sucks and i would be AMAIZED if you actually recieved a real response that has any value to it withing a month.
  22. Every time a thread similar to this I think the exact same thing. I'm not entirely sure why people are completely opposed to it. I would REALLY like to heal every now and then on my commando, however every time i have to re-tool everything for maybe an OP once a week.
  23. Wow, i wanna know what the orb does now! (besides the cool looking aura of course)
  24. I would venture to assume that the longjevity of any mmo is the content beyond that which you reach once at the level cap. As someone who has been there in a nearly identicle game format, the OP is wishing to pronounce his concerns before his leveling objective is complete. Why try to solve a problem once you reach the hurdle when you have the oppertunity to point out the flaw before you reach it?
  25. Anyone know when the last BW reply to a user created thread was on general discussion forum? I'm starting to wonder if BW even knows its customers exsist.
