  1. Well if you're stating how much better this is over Ben's work... (Wait for it) Darth Malgus: "You've been Deceived."
  2. Well they nerfed healing companions for their CD although I found healers were a waste of time and prefer them to be on tank or dmg but they nerfed the threat rate a companion tank has prior to 6.0. But overall I am sure they nerfed presence/influence on companions because even level 50 seem sloppy makes me think what's the point of making them 50 other than crafting but since crafting is a mess what is the point might as well go back to the days where you gear your companions for their efficiency at least it was much faster and less hassle for the players that didn't craft.
  3. Well that and pvp is all I do nowadays. Easier in some ways but acquiring what you want defiantly not, well not in comparison to gearing prior where you earned a currency and bought it outright with that currency not with that currency and another currency.
  4. Better? That's from a certain point of view and defiantly not mine. Great Idea's half baked which shows all over the game. You probably only knew of Ben's Era in SWTOR since your player count is like 20 million. Did you know a lot of what Keith is working with is mostly his predecessors WIP with the occasional pixel dust here and there. The reason I used Ben as a person that gave Keith these Idea's of RNG and punishing the player.
  5. Well if they wanted to prune them down they can without the devs wasting time and money doing it. However what the devs should do is for example make the class buffs passives instead of another ability, they could utilse the new charge system, some class dcd's could be merged (however I do like separate ones) scrap the 3 sec invincibility or as I call it cheesing dcd. but in general most are useful as is, like the charge system would work with classes that have more than one hard stun like Jugg Tank just make one hardstun have two charges and remove the other.(as much as I like Backhand, I would rather two charges of Force Chokes.) The problem with the charges system they need to implement it to only use one stack per press.
  6. It's going to be crap anyways, It would be nice if they just left these IP's instead of keep ruining them further. DA:I was awful. ME:A was awful. DA:2 I could put up with. ME:3 I could put up with. Just leave a franchise to die, it's had its hay day.
  7. The companion nerf has caused an increase in time it takes for a heroic grind. Does set bonuses or Tacticals ever drop? Random vendor is terrible and the discount on Kai is abysmal... I'm always getting lower gear then my rating no matter where i acquire it. How long will this **** gearing take to be fixed to something user friendly or something that doesn't drain all funds from the player, i have got to the point deconstructing gear is pointless since I need to sell the gear to be able to gear up? what *********** sense does that make. Bioware Office; Eric Musco: "Keith, I got a great idea on how to claw back them billions of credits them YouTubers have. " Ben Irving: "Lets hit the players that ACTUALLY play the game!" Charles Boyd: "Since we don't want to upset the guys that buy stuff of the cash shop selling stuff to make billions.." Keith: "Great IDEA GUYS! Especially you Ben." *Pats Ben on the back*
  8. So optimization isn't/wasn't the main problem was you in alpha or beta? Optimization wasn't only caused because they chose to go ahead with the launch but because they used an alpha engine and thought they was great at coding which mostly ended up in a broken game full of limits. 32bit was practically dying or considered old tech when Vista arrived since you couldn't even operate it without the need for more resources which is practically what's happening to SWTOR. I got 32gb of Ram and SWTOR touches about 4gb, I got an AMD R9 3900X and SWTOR touches about 2 cores/threads. Captain obvious, I applaud you by saying pressing more buttons then less = less choice. You know how silly that is? you do what you feel is necessary, no one is putting a gun to your head saying you got to do a rotation that was in a guide. Especially since with all the gear changes you can now use your rotation different. Where did I? I stated "I would have it back in a heart beat." Key letter is "I" How did you come to that conclusion? Nothing is wrong with the combat, however what is wrong is how bad the game runs in WZ's or OP's or WB's. Remember Ilum open world PVP it was like a slideshow, that isn't because of the combat. The restriction is and always was the Engine. Well that's a bit obvious because MMO's aren't the trend anymore, BR's are. There's still many MMO's that use Tab Targeting combat but a lot are either dumbing it down or retiring it for a more action combat style which is better for casual gamers or console users. Most of the market is rapidly converting to Mobile/Console. Yes DA:O gameplay is RTWP but combat is Tab Targeting like QB's, Holy Trinity, queuing abilities and Stat's determination. DA:2 gameplay is RTWP but the combat is Action Combat which was known to be a style of choice chosen for consoles e.g. dumbing down. Some use a mixture between two combat systems, such as GW2. But please don't get confused between gameplay and combat. What are you talking about combat system or gameplay system? because you're blurring the lines between both. Truthfully I have never played Divinity. The only RPG's I've played is POE, NWN, BG, KOTOR and DA. I didn't bother looking at is but I can tell you're getting things confused the Combat system relies on the Gameplay system which relies on the Game engine. If the game engine isn't capable or not well optimised then it causes issues for everything down the line. Nor did I state that they could, but they could speed it up, 3 years 6.0 is lacklustre to say the least. Converting from 32bit to 64bit isn't probably the best move depending on the investment since the engine isn't the greatest or the version isn't the best to say the least. The best move would be to either update/change the engine or convert it to 64bit. Nor did I say it was but you defiantly don't know enough when it comes to game development to lecture me on the subject heck you're mixing up Combat and Gameplay mechanics. Which are two different things.
  9. Not only classes but specs too since a lot get them old abilities rehashed, I would have said Carnage has the least and IO Merc has the most. Or at least that's how it feels! Ha
  10. Normally you bind say each or a combo with a number or letter and so forth, however not what I'm aware of that you can bind just shift or any of the others as a singular bind I didn't even know you could bind alt + ctrl as a singular bind without using it in combo with a letter, number or symbol. But my Binds/UI have been saved for such a long time that I wouldn't know every little thing about them I even have them saved on a usb stick in the event of any mishaps.
  11. You stated about combat as if that is the main issue or that is the issue that has been raised in this thread, It's about abilities you could have 4 abilities and theses same people would praise it as if it was the next best thing to sliced bread. In laymen terms you have the choice to play with as many QB's or abilities as your heart desires but don't come along and shove your ideas down my throat and tell me it's great when it isn't you're just restricting the choice which in a RPG is the worse thing imaginable. I'd have every single change such as Active Stances (Skank), Skill Trees (Hybrids), Original Companion Specs/Abilities/Gearing, No Level Sync, Base Classes, All the removed Abilities and Traditional Stats back in a heartbeat if I could. If you believe restriction is best in an RPG than you far from the best person to talk on the subject which is the reason I honestly can not take your points serious. SWTOR Combat is no different to DA:O. Yes it's a niche idea to make the combat the equivalent of say DA:2 or DA:I but it sounds great on paper but still is only niche since this is based on a traditional RPG style not an ARPG like ESO or Skyforge which are great in their own rights but in my opinion nothing more than say DA:2 is to DA:O. Commercial success isn't only based on simplicity or casual gaming since DA:2 proved it. What this game needs is more choice for everyone to engage with like they've done with the gearing, the reason we need previous changes reintroduced, The charges on certain abilities are great and could be used to prune abilities like stuns instead of having two separate stuns you have one with two charges but truthfully I like my backhand and force choke. The other focus should be on introducing more content at a faster pace and converting it from old 32bit to 64bit. One thing I would've been in favour of would be if they made the current gear more mixable like the old ones instead of the percentage stat bonus and the other thing would be a forth spec for each advance class that you was able to choose your own main 4 abilities and passives from the three other specs like a (hybrid) Example: (Sith Marauder) in the 1st slot for a main ability you'd get the choice of (Force Rend, Gore or Raging Burst) the 2nd slot (Rapture, Massacre or Obliterate) the 3rd slot (Annihilate, Ferocity or Force Crush) the 4th slot (Deadly Sabers, Devastating Blast or Furious Strike) it would add something new to the game but would only work via the same choice of passives and stances.
  12. No the problem with SWTOR and has always been it's Optimization that turned a lot of players away. Which a lot is on the fact of it being 32bit lacking therefore in resources. Every other issue was things that was implemented along the way like having the mentality to "fix what isn't broken" whereas they should have been fixing the engine instead of worrying about skill trees, level sync, companion specs, removing base classes and the list goes on. You're now stating about Oricon which is my favourite planet to date, it was a massive hit when released to the fans because even though small it hit every mark for balance in terms of content, you don't ultimately need to do the raid however it's not hard to group up for one much easier if you're in a guild and ask them to help you most certainly will. I think that is why dungeons have taken more of a front row because they're easier for new or overwhelmed players to get into, maybe it would have been nice for them to add a toned down version of the raids to make a super story mode version e.g. 4 man but that'll would only happen in good faith and they probably won't touch any of the old content if they can try not to.
  13. +1 I never understood the idea. Since they can bolster you when you're a lower level to the content, I'm sure they can bolster the enemies in phases at least whether that's story or group content. Truthfully i don't understand level sync in free roam, I know there was complaints about high level players killing lower level players on planets but that's why you don't use PVP world phase... I can't operate without PVP world phase it just adds an extra excitement. But yeah I mainly care that they change level sync in story and group content (Phases) since it's stupid to say the least, I'd rather them bolster the enemies to my level. Level lock is lazy as well as nerfs. But removing the need to be more powerful is stupid to say the least it takes away the dedication to earn gearing items.
  14. I like having loads of abilities and truthfully you don't have to use them all, I like the choice surrounding them but most of the content you can go about with a few abilities left out of your QB layout. We all have choice, but I hate dumbing down the game to suit people who have the choice on what and how many abilities they have. The new Call of Duty came out and ever since I've been playing Apex Legends every First Person Shooter feels clunky, slow and not well polished. I tried the new Call of Duty in beta and it was awful in comparison for me.. No crouch game, ADS was stupidly slow just every was clunky maybe I have been spoilt by Apex Legends. But I don't go out requesting they change it or whatever to suit me, I just avoid it like the plague.
  15. Dunno I only used the Dynamic Brawer headpiece on mine to make it look like she's using the force to see because of the animation.
  16. Or make all cutscenes use my mask, because it's uber annoying how my Sith who wants his face covered against his will has his mask removed. While there sort out the hood/hair thing my Jedi is bald but is suppose to have hair.
  17. Remove level lock and sync enemies to your level. Level is uber stupid.
  18. The grind to level 75 is unreal, especially when you can't obtain XP boosts by ingame means. Set bonuses just are not dropping for me guess my RNG luck is terrible. Fragments just seem too little to be able to buy one piece. Also can you please fix the companion when on Tank spec, you obviously don't want people who solo content to use Healers which i never did I always ran them on Dmg but now I have to run them on Tank but the aggro is terrible that I end up tanking the mobs instead.
  19. Nope, as a guild leader I couldn't even set an example, I only got one toon to personal conquest goal.
  20. SWTOR 6.0. Xbox Ultimate: Outer Worlds and WWZ. Xbox Games with Gold: Friday the 13th. Apex Legends: Halloween Event. (Shadowfall) Skyforge. I need to get back into GTA:O and Battlefront 2 though. I got a lot to tend to... Might have to allocate blocks of time to get around to every game, still need my spooks.
  21. Tell me about it. GAME: Can't afford this. LIFE: You broke. I thought I played games for escapism... Not realism.
  22. *Michael Jackson voice*: Call the Pol-hee-heeice.
  23. Gearing for me will be awful, yes legacy based gear is great and so forth but for me I like to play many different specs/classes heck I play Immortal and Rage on my Juggernaut, Vigilance on my Guardian, Fury and Carnage on my Marauders, Engineering on my Sniper. I do play the other classes/specs but not as much as these but if it is going to cost me 7 million per a spec minus the costs of amplifiers or tacticals then I won't see it as feasible to gear any. Yes I like ideas surrounding the gearing but not the RNG and cost output to play your class/spec effective in competitive play or endgame. We will have to agree to disagree.
  24. That's extremely silly I own two copies of the game, both pre-orders one is an unopened CE and the other is just the normal deluxe edition which I used on this account I never throw stuff like that away or lose it. Especially when it's part of a collection. Fun fact: it came with a 30 days and I also bought 60 day gametime code card, when I got back into the game I still had the 60 days sealed in the thin case it came in up in the loft which I used.
