  1. How can you make a solo trip through ravagers is the question that really bugs me here?
  2. Except your reasons are simply nonsense. Are males on average stronger than females in our world? Yes. However that difference is not nearly as pronounced as you make it out to be. And even if the difference was that noticeable you are completely disregarding that the Inquisitor could be: 1) A non human species for which you have zero idea if the males are even the stronger sex of that species in the first place. 2) A cyborg that could easily have enhacned strenght. 3) Could just be fitter and more agile than the fat Lord Paladius who sits on his a*s all day and relies on his servants and force-artifacts to win his battles and contrary to your belief one does not need more pure strenght to win a sword fight. Your argument might count if you defeat Paladrius in a fist fight or a wrestling match, but you don't. And all of this still completely disregards the fact that Paladius artifact seemingly failed him anyways. So basically your arguments have more holes than the plot of an bad action movie.
  3. Dear sir I have to point out that Nox can not be Light. Lightsided Inquisitors get the way better sounding (in my opinion) title of Darth Imperius. I also have to disagree about the no jedi tendencies, as a light side Inquisitor, while clearly no jedi, still can exhibit some traits like that (for example: meditating on the light side and redeeming force ghosts.) I do however agree that the Inquisitor defecting makes little to no sense at all. Even if lightside it is still their main goal to seize power in the empire and force some change. As the story is right now it makes no sense for her/him to defect to the Republic at all no matter if Dark or Light. The only conceivable way I can see Nox/Occulus/Imperious change sides is if the Empire is on the brink of total anihilation and the only way to save their hide would be to quickly join the winning side.
  4. I agree that Khem is the better choice because he is more loyal and less likely to backstab you (also for lightside Inquisitors it is his body after all and Zash doesn't have any right to steal it) but isn't all this talk about Khem Vals strenght kind of moot? If Zash steals his body she is the one becoming stronger with each kill, she is the impressive beast then and she will have all of Khem Vals power, only with more knowledge and less whining about Tulak Hord but also more potential scheming against you and therefore less easy sleep.
  5. The unlockable species for all classes really do cause some rahter hilarious conversations at times. Best part was with my Cathar Sith INquisitor on Taris. Imperial officier: "Damm those filthy aliens." Iinquisitor: "Watch out what you say about aliens." Imperial Officier: "I didn't mean people like you my lord. Just those Cathar savages, they are no better than animals." Inquisitor:
  6. The literal dialogue is for warrior: "You will join us as our scion of terror. We will feast on your dreams and our union will be strong again." for Inquisitor: "Once you were a wretched slave but now you are a being worthy of worship. Now you will join us and we will feast on your dreams as we grow strong together." It sounds pretty similar too me. Do they prefer the INquisitor? Maybe. Do they still want the warrior in their union? I think so. contrast it with for example the bounty hunter: "You are no Sith, but you may join us, serve us as Kepessh did." Here it's explicitly mentioned that they will serve.
  7. I never said s/he's a dumb brute. The warrior however still is a brute in the sense that s/he, if the need arises, will physically overpower all opponents with sheer brute force. In battle the wrath isn't subtle. S/he just tears down her/his enemies with her/his superior strenght. That doesn't mean s/he can't be a capable diplomat and generally intelligent person. In fact the warrior if played right can be very eloquent and charming which is fitting since s/he has most likely profited from a good education as a member of a prominent Sith blood line. So in short I think the warrior is a brute in combat but can nontheless be a intelligent and manipulative the rest of the time (If you don't go full LOL-murder and take every DS and rude option. Never go full LOL-murder;))
  8. No they aren't invited for different reasons. The dread masters make it clear to both the Inquisitor and the wrath that they need a 6th dread master to "mend the wound" styraks death caused. Both are meant to join their "union" (read: weird hive mind) explicitly. The warrior gets the "scion of terror title" from them because s/he "strikes terror in the hearts of millions" according to the dread masters while the Inquisitor is "a being wothy of worship". But in the end they both are supposed to fill the same roll as the 6th member of the dread masters.
  9. Ah I see your DS warrior is a defender of the "brainless Gorilla thumps his chest and strikes at everything around him in blind rage" way of thinking. Delightful. Sure go ahead an attack the leader of the Republic troops while their whole army still camps outside. I'm sure this will not escalate in an massive battle that will only lead to needless losses and possible complete loss for the empire. Seriously Yavin no longer holds much interest to any side and those troops will be better spent in another batlle over a planet that still matters.
  10. There are quite some people that defected from the empire: Watcher One (possibly) Lord Praven (possibly) I think there is a house Thul family that can join the Republic in the Counslar story Lord Scourge (well he's still a Sith but he does fight for the Republic now) Elara Dorne Kira Carsen There is a scientist on Balmorra that defected to the Republic in the Inquisitor Storyline. The surgeon on Nar Shadda that makes imperials look like republic soldiers offers to work for the Republic. Darth Sajar (off screen though) Syo Bakaran? (Does that count if you save him?) The General (as you mentioned) The Imperial agent (possibly) Probably more that I can't remember right now.
  11. I never wanted to say that Nox isn't extremely powerful in the dark side. S/he definitely is. I was only arguing against the notion that s/he is way better at plotting and manipulating than the warrior because s/he really isn't. As you yourself said Moff Pyron and others join Nox o because s/he is more progressive than Thanaton and not because s/he tricked them into it or because she did some impressive scheming. Nox is a extremely capable Sith, I never wanted to deny that but s/he isn't a much better schemer than thewrath because as mentioned Zash does all the scheming for her/him and Nox executes her schmes with great skill afterwards. Also Nox is only better at manipulation than a dark side warrior. The ligtside warrior is actually a master of subterfuge since s/he can pretty much be a lightside almost-jedi that spares all of Baras enemies, works together with multiple Jedi during her/his story and tries to reform the empire from within and none of her/his Sith peers notice all too much. Plus for the most of the first two acts s/he can disobey almost all of Baras ordes and con him into thinking s/he totally did everything s/he could for his benefit. On a side Note: I think Zashs ritual would have been sucessful without Khem Val. I understood it so even though you beat her in the fight she stalled you long enough to power up her ritual. Her words are something like "You are stronger than I thought. But it doesn't matter any more, the ritual has already begun. *trying to posess you and Khem Val ruining it*" Implying that her ritual was almost sucessful and it was literally just coincidence that saved Nox.
  12. While I generally agree that the warrior is a brute that doesn't know much about subtlety I disagree that the Inquisitor is that much better. Nox doesn't manipulate her/his way to the top. S/he completely and utterly relies on Zash to make it there. Zash is the one that hands over her entire powerbase to Nox because she planned to steal her/his body. Nox manages to secure this powerbase by sheer dumb luck because Khem Val coincidentially disrupts Zashs ritual. As a result Nox gains a huge powerbase to begin with without ever having done anything to build it on her/his own. When Thanaton wants to kill Nox it is once again Zash that tells her/him about the ritual that could help him/her. Same in Act 3. Nox her/himself doesn't know sh*t about sith rituals and politics. It's Zash who does all the plotting while the Inquisitor much like the warrior has to kill all the enemies that stand in the way. S/he is still slightly better at manipulation and subterfuge than the wrath but not nearly as much as you make it out to be. Realistically if you choose Khem Val over Zash during their final quest Nox would proably be outmaneuvered and utterly destroyed by her/his fellow councilors within months (Of course it doesn't happen because s/he is the protagonist in a video game though.).
  13. Ah, ok. I see what you mean now. While I personally do not completely agree with what you are saying (for example I just find it even more glaring and ridicioulus from a story-level that a huge Belial can't kill a single chick with an crosbow) I can understand your standpoint. It does make sense. Thanks for clarification.
  14. What about Kaliyo? She gives off a strong bisexual vibe even in conversation. I peronally also think that light side Jaesa comes off as a bit of having a crush on lightside-SWs of any gender but it can be interpreted as platonic, non sexual adoration (which is most likely how it was intended by the devs).
  15. Is there actually any game out there that does that? So far in every single videogame I have ever played the combat is straight-up bullsh*t and can not truly represent what is going on story wise because then the story would be downright stupid. Some examples: Skyrim: Mage shoots fire right in the face of your character, who doesn't immediately get third degree burns from this that put him out of commisision and everyone else freezes while the Dragonborn decides to look thorugh his backpack and drink a potion. Fallout 3/New Vegas: Get Shot in the head. Its fine I can totally go on indefinitely as long as I don't get hit again. Dragon Age: Character gets gnawed on by a huge-a*s dragon. He spits him/her out again and s/he is totally able to stand up and continue to fight. Vampires the Masquerade bloodlines: Superhuman Vampire gets hit with a baseballbat in the stomach-> dies and turns to ashes. Or even better. Normal human thug needs about 30 hits with a pistol before he goes down because you haven't invested any point into ranged weapons. Or the classic example of almost every game ever: Single Person (often entirely human) mows down dozens of enemies at once and survives it without any injuries that would at least lead to being weakened. Most glaring example until today for me was probably Diabolo III. Main character + one companion attack huge demon army apparently alone and win.
  16. I played two light sided Sith Warriors to lvl 55 and I have to say I like it quite a lot. Especially act 1 is of more satisfiying if you play lightside, since the story actually changes to some degree. Unfortunately this is kind of dropped in the other acts, but you can still be a very honorable and merciful Sith.
  17. I don't think jedi shed their past roots. At least there is a jedi in the inquisitor story that came from alderaan an still has strong ties to it. The green Jedi follow the Jedi code but still serve as their homeworlds (Corellias) defenders as well.
  18. Maybe if the jedi actually is a chathar her/himslef they would use it to honor their culture?
  19. What do you mean with "need"? Because I'd say you don't need any Datacron at all. On my main 55 character I have a total of 3 datacrons and I still have no problems playing any part of the game. I collected them all once and it was so tedious and annoying that I never did it again. So no If you don't want to waste your time with sometimes ridicioulously hard jumping-nonsense then just skip it.
  20. 1. Well they obviously just wanted to get rid of the emperor because if he succeeded they would, you know... die themselves. I don't consider not wanting to die an good act in itself. 2. Jedi do not actually completely surpress their emotions. They generally just seem to surpresss negative emotions like fear, anger and hatred. On the opposite they seem to teach compassion, patience and also to accept death as a natural part of live a lot. I have yet to encounter any jedi that actually acts like a emotionless robot in any star wars material. 3.Yep I agree that was a huge d*ck move from the Jedi back then, but that doesn't make it ok for the Sith to start a galaxy wide war with the current generation of Republic inhabitants. All the people who tried to commit genocide are most likely dead now. 4. That is true though I'd argue tha there are also some Sith who at least aren't really anti-alien either (Zash, Malgus, Jadus...) . 5. Yeah... no! I'd choose the Jedi in a heartbeat. While they have their flaws they actually try to do what is best for everyone in ethical ways, while most Sith only care only about themselves and don't care about how they achieve their goals. Also Jedi don't usually execute their subordinates for minor mistakes. In general: Jedi are generally good but have flaws, like everyone else. Sith are generally selfish jerks that care about nothing but their own goals, but in rare instances there are actually honorable Sith that aren't really evil at all.
  21. The jedi usually don't have any formal authority over the Republic. They are often given command though because the Republic heavily relies on them as defenders and generals. Likewise the Republic government has no actual control over the Jedi but they still ofteh follow it's command because they vowed to protect the Republic from danger.
  22. The ethics officier didn't seem very trustworthy to me. You report to him that his subordinates blow up refugees for fun and basically all he does is say: "What they haven't stopped doing that after I already told them to stop it? Okay. I'll tell them to stop again." Seriously those guys should have been relieved of duty the first time if you ask me. And there IS reaon not believe your own people right away if they are continually involed in abhorrent things. Also are you saying that stealing is always bad and a thief can never be in the right? Because if you do, then its a opinion that I do not share. Sometimes it can be justified. The example we are discussing now might not be the best and I agree that you shouldn't get any alingment points at all for returning it to the military but neither do I think it is inheritly wrong to award lightside points to you if you help the refugees.
  23. Except the military on Ord Mantell is as corrupt as it gets. The high ranking officiers blackmail their subordinates, it is mentioned multiple time that without a lot of bribe money the soldiers don't do anything, people get beaten up regularely for minor reasons and lets not forget that some of those military people get a thrill out of seeing refugees blow up in a minefield. Not to metinon that some of them are even traitors (Havoc squad). So I ask you: Why should we believe any word out of the mouth of said fellow soldier? He is probably as unreliable as the thief.
  24. The most hilarious dialogue yet was on Taris with my cathar inquisitor: Paraphrasing: Imperial General: "We need your help to deal with this disgusting alien scum mylord." Inquisitor: "Be careful what you say about aliens!" Imperial General: "I didn't mean you mylord. Just those filthy Cathar. They are nothing more than savage beasts." Inquisitor (could not actually say this unfortunately): "Are you trying to kid me you stupid jerk?"
  25. Well it is usally more aceppted in most societies to put possibly infected/contaminated people under some sort of quarantine insted of just killing them without even confirming if they are actually sick in the first place. Gassing them does seem like a rather heartless/dark choice to me. Just because something is the safest option doesn't always mean that it is a "good" or "light" one. In conclusion the dark choices in SWTOR usually are "the end justifies the means" scenarios, where you often sacrifice others to furhter your factions or your own goals (for example the mentioned gassing trapped people in order to minimize the risk of an infection spreading and harming more of your people), while the light options basically revolve around (sometimes naive) idealistic actions and self-sacrifice. This system pretty much stays consisten during the entire game.
