  1. I have had this problem when tanking SC Using AOE taunt everytime during the casting of DD solved it for me.
  2. Ever thought they might not know. If I see someone in pve gear in pvp, even if it is full rakata, i tend to point out to them that they will probably have a lot more fun in recruit gear as expertise is king in pvp. They generally are happy for the advice. Maybe try to act like a reasonable human before getting angry with people.
  3. Yep I have it on my PVE main, and correct it is in the tanking tree so don't worry too much as he will be hitting you like a fly with his lightsaber
  4. Taunt Kite him for as long as you can, when you feel you are about to get squished have the other tank taunt him off you. repeat this untill he is dead
  5. I understand the idea of not being able to attack new player planets. But would be nice to be able to organise events to attack the enemys major citys/fleet
  6. I think there should be a 'time spend running from the respawn site medal' for healers as well. That way we will get at least one medal when playing against premades that mark us and our team mates leave us to die
  7. As a healer I fully support this post. number of tanks i play with in pugs who don't guard, or only guard at the begining.
  8. As a healer I don't like that idea, would just lead to a pre 1.2 situation where everyone is calling for a healer nerf again. Maybe a stackable debuff where by the dps is reduced by the number of people that are attacking you, but I still think that would be too much Maybe the healers defensive cool downs could have a talentable effect similar to that
  9. I think it is a game enjoyment issue rather than a balance issue. When healing is the dominant force in s WZ, it takes for ever to kills stuff, true and that isn't loads of fun. But healers have to put up with something no other class really has to, focus fire. When DPS is the dominant force in a warzone, and i am focus fired, unless I am in a healer heavy group, which no one really likes, I will spend a vast amount of time running from the spawn site. At least if it takes you ages to kill something you feel liek your playing the game, not so if you are corpse running. Guard makes a huge difference, but unless you run with a pocket tank is getting harder to get. The game maybe justs needs a minor tweek to make a healer a little more survivable or make it harder for them to be focused down, removing the marks on death for example.
  10. I played GW when if first came out I didn't like it, the idea of everyone being equal is nice, but inreality it just made everything seem pointless. There was no direction, no purpose. And Pvp just seemed to be one big AOE spam fest, where is the skill in that. doubt i will bother with GW2
  11. Well people can obviously recognise healers hence we get marked. The suggestion is that by removing the marks would mean it takes a little bit more organisation and attention from the other team. This would be preferable to being marked once then having to run back over and over with a big fat 'kill me' sign over my head.
  12. Generally if a tank puts a guard on me he will get my MVP vote. This is mainly because the act is becoming rarer and rarer
  13. Maybe It is just a suggestion, I am more than happy to hear others. Btw.. that the same Semper Ex Alliance side on Azjol Nerub?
  14. Yeah er, you don't see the other teams marks and they don't see ours. You can't actually see you are marked, you just know when everyone starts targeting you over and over
  15. Can you please mention this to the majority of tanks on my server since 1.2.
  16. I am taking the first part of that post as Irony. As you seem to completely agree with what I have said apart from telling me I should learn to use my defensive cool downs (which I obviously do use when available) so i can last 2 seconds longer. I don't think healers need a buff as one v one i can survive pretty well. However I do think as everyone has said something has to be done about how easy it is to mark healers and focus on them.
  17. Not sure if distracting 3 dps for 4 seconds then running back from the spawn site was how I envisaged my contributions to WZ when I created my Merc
  18. I say just remove the markers so people have to work a bit harder to recognise healers
  19. I am a healer so pretty much useless on my own, so you think I am not going to try and stay with my team. Since patch, if i get marked as a healer as soon as i approach the fight in areas like Aldaraan or Voidstar, my game will go like this, cced, attacked by 2 or 3 or more people doing around 6k min burst damage each before the cc wears off. Then i start the run from the spawn point again
  20. You do realise that saying that healers are ok because when guarded and protected with taunts by a tank they can survive is like saying pre 1.2 healers where not over powered, because if two people attacked one and used all interupts they could kill them. I am not saying I your completely wrong, just that it is the exact same arguement that didn't work when all people tried to prevent the healing Nerf. Serious question though has their been changes to the specs of the classes that could guard that has meant that they have changed spec as I am getting guarded a hell of a lot less than I used to. I was away for the first week of 1.2 but since i have been back I have to say it's probably single digits the number of times i have been guarded. Against good players now i will die pretty quickly, against not so good players i can keep myself alive for a few minutes but will have to blow my cooldowns. The real problem is that I have 0 survivability once marked as a healer now. Once that happens the rest of my game will be spent running from the spawn point, getting stunning getting killed within that 4 second stun and sent back to the spawn point. I know that is teams just being organised, but is sure aint fun and their is nothing i can do about it
  21. As a Merc Healer, healing is still viable against unorganised teams. I can keep myself alive for a couple of minutes 1v1 against the normal standard of player. Maybe even 2v1 against dps who seemed to have forgotten where their interupt buttons are. In both situations though i will have to blow all my cooldowns. However their are issues, people seem to be guarding less since 1.2, has there been a change to Juggy specs that make people tank less and their for not have the option to guard, as I stand in the waiting are spamming my gun heals on juggies trying to get a guard and rarely does it come. The other issue is when you get marked as a healer. I have no issue with dying, it is part of the game, I will often suicide in Huttball if i am at the wrong end of the arena so i can get back to defend. However in Voidstar and Alderaan, games where people clump up, once I am marked as a healer Often i might as well leave the game the amount i am able to contribute, I spend my time, running to the action where I am promptly ripped a new one in the time of 1-2 stuns, blowing cool downs, escaping stuns kiting, will make very little difference. I die respawn and the same happens again. You can say don't run back to the same place but what is the point running to an guarded turret with no one attacking as a healer. Not saying i know how to fiy it, but it sure aint fun.
  22. My favourite bug at the moment is the debuff not showing on Nightmare pilgram. You stop dps check if you have the debuff, check again to make sure, wait another 5 seconds, still no debuff, ok i can hit the target, oh look debuff pops, i am dead
  23. Not want to give away spoilers for the Imperial story line, but the choice of Darth Malgus wont work. I would also say that the Jedi grand master, and the jedi temple are a bit to important story wise to be killed off.
  24. I think you are going a bit far when you say you have to pick one role and play it for ever. You can always change your talent point selection. There is a NPC in Imp city that will allow you to reset them, the first one is free, but it costs more money the more often you do it. However the hybrid thing doesn't really work, a jack or all trades but master of none doesn't work. A healer has to be healing pretty much constantly in an instance, as a hybrid trying to heal you wouldn't have the abilities needed to do that properly and either way you would be so busy healing you would never get to dps. It is very worth noting though that all this came from your experience in D7. This is not a great example instance. It is a very hard instance at the correct level and is also notoriously buggy. Add to that the fact that is if very close to the level 50 instance, but the gear drops are worthless for any 50, means that most people that will want to run it will be undergeared and under leveled. Once you get to 50 and get some better gear, recruit pvp gear can now be bought for around 300k and it probably the best starter gear as a level 50 for pvp or pve, you can start to be a little more flexible with your roles again. I doubt many of the normal mode instances will pose you the same problem the D7 does. And story mode EV is fairly easy as well. If you want to do Hard mode flashpoints and operations though you will be forced back into a specfic role.
  25. inter-planetary travel! This is the most annoying thing about the game. If I am in Ilum, and a friend asks me to help them on say voss. Why developers why, did you think I would want to 15 minutes to get there. I have to speeder to a flight path, take the flight path to the space port, run from the fp to the shuttle, zone into the space station, run across the space station, zone into my hanger, run across my hanger, zone into my ship, run to the map, travel, run to the ship door, zone into my hanger, run to the elevator, zone into the space station, run across the space station, zone onto the planet, run to the flight path, and then finally i can go meet up with my friend where ever he is. Dear developers, can you please give us a quick travel point to inside out ship!!!
