  1. So you make claims that are easily explained by only one thing, STATISTICS...yet refuse to listen to reality. That makes no sense whatsoever. It's like a guy breaking a leg saying "don't wanna see a doctor, go away" :pr Hint: It's all about sample size and variance.
  2. 1) Get enough commendations for 1 champion bag. 2) Save up 1000 WZ and 1000 Mercenary commendations. 3) Invest in things you can still use at lvl50 (like consumables).
  3. Already have macros...it's called Logitech G13 and rocks
  4. Still playing...loving the game so far
  5. True...not bad at all...I'm actually enjoying it a lot
  6. I actually strongly disagree with only starting to PVP at lvl50. Why? Because you can STILL learn how to PVP at lower levels, so you won't start from scratch at lvl50. I started at lvl20, and definitely don't regret it. I learned a TON of stuff that I would have had to learn at lvl50 anyway, even if I'm obviously still missing some skills for my Assassin char.
  7. I'm around where you are now with my Assassin, and went Darkness as well. You won't do as much burst, but overall, I just feel that being able to stay alive a bit longer makes up for it. And force pull rocks in both Voidstar and Huttball. If the ball carrier is in your court, jump off the ledge and pull the carrier down with you Will end up going full Darkness I think, with a few points in Madness.
  8. 7-12 as an assassin, but that's at <50...no clue how this will change. One thing I really don't focus on is DPS, I rather focus on objectives...even if they don't always result in medals. If I can bump the enemy ball carrier and half their team off a ledge, netting my team a few precious seconds, I'm happy...even if it doesn't result in many medals. Also depends a lot on whether I play as Darkness or Madness.
  9. Why on earth would it? Makes no sense whatsoever... Imo BW is doing a pretty good job at listening to the players so far.
  10. Or you could check the map for kills/camps in systems on your route, or use a scout...or fly with a few mates. You know, it's a MULTIPLAYER game after all. Or you could simply adapt and fly a ship that gets you out of gate camps if you go into regions where they are common. Common sense
  11. I can do it with a single character too...and fyi, all my PVP is in low-sec and 0.0. You just have to use the right tactics. And a single BS/BC camping a gate tanking gate guns is probably the easiest kill ever. Not if you fly a frig, but asking for that to be different is kind of silly given that one costs 200k-20m on average while BS costs a ton more. Either way, fighting outnumbered in EVE is totally possible with the right tactics.
  12. Find a good corporation you can join...problem solved In the end, the learning curve is probably still too high for a lot of people...especially WoW kiddies. But once you pull through, it's a pretty amazing game. A LOT more immersive than other MMOs, "real" politics, spy games, player generated content, player market, player production, MASSIVE world...but yeah, it takes A LOT more time to become good than WoW/SWTOR. Not saying it's better, just different...although PVP in EVE is definitely more challenging (and at least in my case that makes it more interesting). The biggest plus? Your actions in EVE have CONSEQUENCES...whereas in WoW/SWTOR it really doesn't matter what you do.
  13. Just fyi, 95% of my PVP in EVE is either solo or in small 1-3man gangs...and there's plenty of ways to counter zerging if you use your brain. If you allow someone to blob you, it's your own fault 99.9% of the time. Hell, I can dual account with just 2 ships and keep an entire enemy gang busy depending on their ship types. It's all about strategy and using your brain And I've only used EFT (which isn't Excel...and Microsoft would agree) to figure out if a certain mod is worth the cost in terms of benefits. EFT is all theoretical and EFT warriors generally fail at EVE
  14. This makes ZERO sense whatsoever Why would players leave if servers get merged?
  15. You can already walk in stations and they're adding more "walkable" content. In addition, they are also creating a massive first person shooter game that integrates with EVE. The players in EVE will be able to hire players in that FPS to fight it out on planets. Check out "Dust 514" on Youtube
  16. 7+ years of EVE, never used Excel...you obviously don't know what you're talking about
  17. He's a bit over the top, but makes a good point. A lot of complainers do indeed seem like crybabies by blowing stuff waaaaaaay out of proportion. Complaining about stuff after the game has been out a single month is pretty silly apart from a few legit complaints such as people getting free valour or using that glitchy door in Voidstar. Those would be legit complaints, but most of the other stuff is pure nerd rage and makes them look childish (not surprising though, probably a lot of younger players on here). Another factor is that a lot of people seem to "rush through" everything in order to "max out" their character. If you overdose on anything you will get bored. Hell, I got really bored of smoking weed when I was at uni...and I got REEEEEEEEALLY bored of playing online poker after 2-3months of playing several hours per day Either way, I don't regret buying the game and will probably keep on playing for another few months.
  18. I still do It's just that my RL job won't allow me to play as much anymore...and EVE just takes more time to enjoy than SWTOR. I never said I don't like SWTOR, I'm actually having fun. They're entirely different games you can't really compare. However, SWTOR could add some of the good aspects of EVE to make the game better. Nothing's stopping me from enjoying both, no?
  19. You're comically wrong Why? Because there's ALWAYS a counter setup to any setup. If you get outplayed because someone else prepared better it's your fault. If you fly a large battleship with large drones and then lose to a small pirate frigate or bomber because you can't hit him, that's not the games fault. It's YOUR fault for being a moron and not thinking ahead (aka not packing some light drones that CAN hit those setups that counter yours). You clearly have no clue about tactics.
