  1. Maybe a lot of forum goers do that, but as they are a tiny minority of the total subscribers, it's really not that many in the grand scheme of things.
  2. The bug in question has been around since beta. I would question how much you actually played if you never got stuck in the crouch position whilst looting, or if vendor windows sometimes took ages to open. It's a common bug.
  3. I would be happy just to be able to quick travel to my ship.
  4. Umm...do you seriously expect people to believe that there are more people playing between 12 midnight and 6am Californian time on a weekday, than there are in Europe between 8am and 4pm GMT on a weekday? You are deluded.
  5. It shouldn't make much of a difference. Most of the US players are in bed during their maintenance, and there should be plenty of room on the EU servers as it is not peak time and the EU servers are not full at these times. The same goes in reverse of course.
  6. Stephen Reid promised some news this week. It's only Tuesday, give them a chance
  7. We don't want it in your daytime, we want separate times. The EU players aren't looking to screw the US players, we want you to keep your times, and for us to receive better times too. This is why I cannot understand so many US players attitude on this. It makes no difference to the US players because the requests we are making leaves US maintenance unaffected. It will make a difference to EU players as it means BioWare carry out EU maintenance at a time when the least number of Europeans are affected. Everyone is a winner.
  8. I hope they don't nerf the datacrons. If people aren't good enough to get them (and let's face it, they aren't THAT hard to get) then they don't deserve them.
  9. Your theory fails when there are other North American made and published games that have given the EU separate maintenance times. This includes the major competition to this game. Stephen Reid has promised us that this week there will be some information on how they intend to improve the EU maintenance times. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what they have in mind.
  10. If you are talking about your characters textures, then this is an issue that is being worked on. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=175553&highlight=high+res+textures
  11. Of course they do, it's for balance purposes. If force users were significantly more OP in a game like this, either nobody would play non-force users, or they would cry on the forums until force users were nerfed.
  12. I know the Blackhole troopers, but they bear little resemblance to the Imperial Agent in my opinion, they were more a crack military squad. I have an IA and if I can end up wearing the classic Imp. uniform I'll be pretty happy. As I said though, I do think that uniform looks all the worse due to your lack of AA and the low res textures.
  13. I actually like the outfit, though the lack of AA and the low res textures make it look worse. In terms of the Stormtrooper armor, isn't the toon you linked an Imperial Agent? If so, why would they ever be wearing Stormtrooper armor?
  14. If 30+ is a couple to you, then yeah, I guess it is... I wouldn't be surprised to see this pushed back.
  15. Indeed. Announcement on EU maintenance times coming this week, so actually the future of this game in the EU could be determined very soon.
  16. As much as I sympathise with Aus/NZ players, you have to realise this game was not officially released over there. If I was playing a game on US servers because it was not released in Europe, I would fully expect maintenance at times to suit the US players. It was however officially released in Europe and therefore maintenance should be carried out at times convenient to European players. When the game IS officially released in Aus/NZ, if BioWare stick to their current maintenance times, I will fully support any threads which request more preferable times for you guys. If however Aus/NZ players get their own maintenance times, I will campaign even harder for EU to get the same. I would never begrudge you guys your own maintenance time, but I would use it as a stick to beat BioWare with in a bid to force them to do the same for my region.
  17. EA don't do F2P MMOs. True story.
  18. This is correct. US players can choose between East Coast and West Coast servers.
  19. You think he got that part right? How does he justify comparing a Consular to a WoW Priest and a Sorcerer to a Shaman? A healing Sorc AND Consular compare well to a Priest, but even damage based Cons/Sorc aren't remotely like a WoW Shaman and are much much closer to a WoW Mage in my opinion.
  20. Many Europeans will be very interested in the answer to this question as well.
  21. Probably one of the worst pieces I've seen on the game so far. Badly researched, badly written and generally clueless about the game. The guy is probably some 4chan kid who thought he might get a few more hits to his blog by dissing the latest MMO. The biggest clue about why he wrote this article comes from his profile: Looking for notoriety, clearly. He failed because it's an awful piece full of misinformation, grammatical errors and poor use of English.
  22. I'm also familiar with the pattern of EU customers playing on EU servers receiving maintenance at the best times for EU players in a game that was officially launched in Europe. Many other games have this. I'm surprised BioWare didn't do it, if they are serious about the longevity of this game, they will change it. If I'm playing a game which is housed on US servers, I'll always accept that maintenance will be carried out at the best times for US players. This is not one of those games however. If this is a global product as BioWare would have us believe, they need to start thinking and acting as a global company. There is a world outside of the USA.
