  1. Why should dps respec for raiding, enragetimers are counter-productive to the general idea that tanks and healers should be able to carry dps.
  2. The commendations you get on the starter planet has limited use, you can only use them for one item: A blue level 8 armor piece. At some point soon, you main quest will lead you off your starter planet to the Fleet Station(level 9 -11). Make sure you pick up the two first quest you see on the Station, because they'll guide you through to your advanced class trainer and to the crew skill area. The crewskill quest tells you to talk to all crewskill trainers and that will give you xp and codex entries in your quest log(L). These codex entries explains which crafting skills goes with which gathering skills and mission skills. As a new player, you'll probably level your crewskills slowly, because you'll have to gather all the resources yourself and unless you get very excited about gathering, quest rewards will often be "almost" as good the items you can create yourself. When you leave the Fleet Station, you'll get the option to run your first flashpoint called Black Talon or take a regular shuttle to the next planet. This flashpoint should be possibly to complete with one other player, if you also both use your compaions. There's a decent chance you'll get a better orange lightsaber or an orange armor. If you don't you can either run it again or just go on to the next planet. If you just continue to quest in the next area, you'll both get commendations and orange gear as quest rewards. Unless you're a perfectionist, you really don't need to think much about commendation upgrades before level +15. I wouldn't worry too much about your companions gear, he's a melee tank and he'll be happy as long as you let him kill/eat people. If you come acress any greeen heavy gear with Strenght and Endurance stats, you should check if they are upgrades for him, before you sell them to a vendor.
  3. General forums are meant to filter out most ofthe trash. Use the more specific forums to get information. General forums are to be compared to world pvp.
  4. Pets = Player Enchanced Tactical Sidekick. Not completely sure.
  5. Also on Orange gear. When you upgrade your gear, you can either buy the upgrades at the Galatic Trade Network(probably overpriced for new players) or buy the upgrades at commendation vendors in the planet's main market area or the supply section of the Fleet Station. As a Sith Inquisitor you need to get Willpower upgrades: Armoring, Hilts, Mods and Enhancments. Armoring and Hilts cost 7 commendations at the vendor, these are the most expensive, because they are the most important upgrades. The level of the Armoring upgrade changes the level of the Orange armor piece and the level of the Hilt changes the level of the Orange lightsaber. Classes using blasters use Barrels to upgrade the level of their guns and rifles. Mods and Enchacments upgrades are much cheaper, they cost only 2 commendations. These upgrades only provide minor stat upgrades, while Armoring/Hilts/Barrles increase base armor level, base damage and stats. Last upgrade options are Color Crystals and Augments, which you need the crewskills to get or buy at the GTN. While you create your own armor pieces from Synthweaving, you might score a critical hit and create a piece of armor with a bonus Augment upgrade slot. Lastly running flashpoint make sure to loot dead bosses to collect extra commendations. A flashpoint run will often give you +3 commendations from bosses and random looting.
  6. Next time you play monopoly try to convince your fellow players to call the dice a number cube instead. All these are deeply rooted genre specific terms, BioWare accidentally uses all these themselves, all the time.
  7. Sounds like burnout, maybe you need a break, maybe you're just done.
  8. One wow specific term I haven't yet encountered in swtor is: gogogogogo But I'm sure we'll see it when the LFD tool arrives.
  9. Dammit I want a refund or a personal letter from George promising to restore Han Solo's honor and re-re-edit the cantina scene all over again. I think it's only fair.
  10. If nothing else is stated, I guess common loot rules and common group behaviour applies: Don't be an A-hole. I recall this convo. -Why you need on heavy, you can't wear it? -Oh sorry didn't see it was heavy. -Okay never mind. ... -Why you need on heavy again? -Duh! Because it's for my companion. -Your companion isn't here, stop ninjaing our loot. -Whatever, it's not like you'll ever see me again. /remove ninjalooter1337 from group. -Hey why you kick me from group?! -HEY WHY YOU KICK ME FROM GROUP NOOB?! -HEY!? /ignore As long as the game doesn't restrict ninjalooting, make sure you /ignore the player and remove him from group. Some people will rather allow the ninja to continue, especially if they've been waiting for a group for a while, they just want to get it over with. Me I'll rather leave the group than continue with a ninja, can't stand them.
  11. If you keep failing a specific jump, you might want to check your surroundings. Sometimes jumping from a pipe to another, requires you to jump from an angle, instead of head on.
  12. What?! Bounty Hunters have flamethrowers?! This is unacceptable!
  13. That legacy guy totally stole the show.
  14. Two facts: 1. WOW was the first ever mmo. 2. Age of Conan killed WOW. QED
  15. Good info and great fun, thanks for the feed.
  16. They even replicated the whining™ from the wow forums.
  17. As long as you only have two months attatchment to your main character, it makes no sense.
  18. Because gamers can only communicate with exclamation marks, any general gaming forum looks like this.
  19. Is your flametrower in your toolbar #1 slot, try moving your blaster ability to #1.
