I honestly wonder why they bothered making a 2 faction game with PvP when you're going to require your Sith to mail something to your Jedi so he can assemble a kick *** companion...just another fail concept like Huttball. I can't imagine Darth Vader mailing Luke something to help him build a new lightsaber.

So...someone that has a bunch Imp 50s on one server and a bunch of Rep 50s on another server doesn't qualify, but someone with 1 of each on the same server does? Makes sense

How hard is it to not join social point runs or advertise level range in your LFM messages? There was no need to "fix" something people with a lick of sense can solve on their own.

AFAIK none of the other FPs give social points any where near what Esseles/Black Talon do. There's a reason that's the social run FP everyone uses.

I thought they were adding a check on the loot roll so that you could only need on gear if it was stat appropriate for your class. Whatever happened to that?

Yeah...good luck finding a tank at all if 1.3 goes live at is. IMO (and based on PTR forums) most every tank Guard/Jug is respeccing to DPS. Other tanks are also getting nerfs. I guess BW wants everyone to be DPS and not worry about dual specs.

You're still getting your meal, you're just sitting at a different table. This happens all the time. When companies upgrade infrastructure, not everyone gets it at once, and the people not getting the upgrade right away don't get discounts. Man, this thread is full of bad analogies.

I think this is more an issue of Hanlon's Razor than malice. I can tell you there were times in beta where there were near 500 people on Coruscant, and I never saw anything close to that on live. Other planets always seemed to have more population in beta than live servers ever did, even on launch day. I think they were so worried about server stability, they capped the pops waaaaay too low.

Phase two will be forcing transfers with mergers and closures. One problem with this game is that you're spreading the pop out over 2 factions and 17 planets, plus ops/WZs, etc. One of my old servers would probably have been considered medium pop 3 months ago, and it still felt dead.

Perfect? LOL hardly. Perfect would be everyone getting to keep their names and legacy names, increasing character slots per server to 16 (for people with one of each AC), and everyone transferring at the same time. Feel free to add.

What would people raging about not transferring yet be doing this weekend if there were no server transfers *at all* this week? You'd be playing with the same 20 people you played with last week.

Went from Rubat Crystal and Shien to Ebon Hawk. If I was planning on playing TOR this weekend (which I'm not), I'd still be playing, even if I hadn't transferred. Well since you asked, I'd say everyone should be able to transfer by Tuesday. Considering they started out with 18 on day one, I' surprised they got as many done as they have. What would be the point of that? Not even playing TOR this weekend. What little time I have I'll be playing TSW beta weekend. It's not like they let half your server transfer off and not the rest. Everyone that had planned on playing this weekend still can.

Didn't read past the first page because all the QQ would flood my computer out, but Christ, what's another 3 days? They're going to see how many people are active on the new super servers and how many more people transfer over the weekend.

I guess you can transfer now and at least have a shot of keeping some of your names, or wait until there are server mergers and your chances drop significantly, especially given the upcoming 1-15 free trial where even more names will be taken.

Turbine's LotRO's hybrid model is pretty good. Cryptic's STO model is too P2W. Funcom's model with AoC is horrible. F2P isn't automatically bad in Western MMOs, but I'd prefer to stick with sub model only. IMO this is academic. EA doesn't do F2P. TOR will be shut down before it goes F2P.

Did anyone REALLY expect ALL the PvP servers to be merged into one?

Lost 5 of 8. I expected 3 of 8, even though none of them are related to Star Wars, unless they were from some book I'd never heard of. One of them I'd bet the house I'd lose (my Smuggler named Kirk). The other one I thought I'd lose was a less common pop culture reference, but I still figured it would be gone ( my Trooper Hudson). I figured one other just for bad luck, but 5 total really surprised me. None of my other names are from any other big pop culture icons (or any pop culture reference for that matter), so I guess I was just really unlucky. Lost both Legacy names, but both were just Latin words, so not really all that surprised that I lost both. LOL @ the people cancelling over losing a stupid name. Obviously it's not that special or unique.
