  1. Way to be a hypocrite after saying all the stuff about being here for the game in the other thread and then turning around and insulting.

It is obvious that you are not here to have a serious and civil discussion about how to make the game better.

You'd do just as well trying to explain Schrödinger's cat to an aardvark.

Hasn't it occurred to you that he posts here only for attention and to get a rise out of people? Every time you respond he wins.

  2. The point of having it as a buff opens up other opportunities in the game. Including the ability to sell the buff outside event times.

I have no issue with double-xp buffs; however, if they're made available on the CM there will be a virtual schiß aufruhr as people decry the game is pay-to-win.

Have your raincoats and muck out boots handy. ;)

  3. I still think they are majority outside the US>.... But like I suggested.. block people from making multiple accounts on a computer... that and with blocking chat channels in F2P accounts for first week would go along way to limiting spam.. it will not stop it.. But you would see a decline.

    Okay, you win. :)

  4. I think that the majority of Spammers are too lazy to create proxies... and for those who create 100's of accounts.. you should be able to limit how many a person makes... There has to be a way to limit a persons access to the website for account creation.. Like some kind of cookie etc that once on computer that if you try to access site to make an account more than 5 times it blocks attempts and you have to contact support to unlock it.. like when you enter PW's too many times. This should be easy to implement....

Just for your own enlightenment, google "swtor credits," then go visit some of those sites. Until you've done that you should probably refrain from suggesting how gold spammers should be dealt with. :)

  5. Im not going to answer that... :p But I will say that aggressivly going after ISP's and closing down the locations of those people by blocking their areas from being able to make new accounts would go along way in making people have a better time.

Another step that would be better and would help would be to block all Communication channels on F2P accounts untill so many days have passed. This would slow down the chat spam... and still let those who legitimitly create accounts be able to chat once they have spent the time needed to get past the trial account chat limit.

You don't think people who have the tech savvy to create sophisticated bots don't have the smarts to use proxies?

Waiting periods? You don't think the same people can't create 100 new accounts every day and simply push them along day after day like a virtual peristalsis process?

  6. How much have you wasted with very little success ? Please keep this thread to the horrors not the greats of success lol.

    12.5 Million down

    Vectron Magus x7

    Rancor x0

    Golden Certificates x250+

    It's a nightmare because?

You made the decision to continue throwing money at a high-risk enterprise?

I sense you don't want to take responsibility for your choices. Well, I could say something snarky about snowflakes and entitlement, but I'm sure someone else will do that.

One more thing, the answer to your question may come from any of the number of other threads which have already been commenced on this subject.

  7. Free Market

Businesses producing the cheapest possible crap and selling at the highest possible prices.

Consumers wanting the best possible products at the lowest possible prices.

In theory one should keep the other in check, but that's not always the case, and regulation is sometimes required. When that regulation is prevented we witness economic collapse.

Great Depressions, implosions of mortgage markets, and economy-breaking stock swindles are not caused by oversight, but lack of it.

  8. Call me a sore loser if you wish but this event is pathetic and lazy, it sucks that every single item available is only attainable via the RNG...I really wish they actually put some thought into this and had other forms of activities.

I have spent 500k and all I have to show for it is 1 gold certificate GG.

    SWTOR hates you.

  9. Can you help me guys?

What pils should I take to kill this ATARI 2600 slot machine sound in my head? I cant sleep , I cant drive my car , I cant eat , I cant drink anymore ... JUST THIS NOISE .... Im going crazy.

What's the point of this thread again?

    +1

Seems you're willing to be one of the mean girls when other people post BS.

So, what's the point of this thread again?

  10. Not that using a tank companion is a bad idea or anything, I just generally don't bother to gear them up so they end up being crafting comps.

This is your decision and not bad design on BW's part.

One of the things I quite like about TOR is the ability to select from companions possessing varied strengths; it makes for tactical flexibility when confronting differing opponents.

Conversely, if you choose to approach the game with a single cookie-cutter strategy, well that's okay too, but it's your decision.

  11. It's pretty obvious the naming policy sucks in this game, Bioware/EA should take notes fro Pirates of the Burning Sea online, where you can pick anyone name and surname you want just as long as it isn't an identical match, meaning there can't be two Jack Blacks or John Doe, but there can be a Jack Doe and a John Black, sure POTBS isn't the greatest MMO out there but it has one heck of a naming policy which I would rate a 10/10 while SWTOR gets a sloppy 2/10.

Besides naming, PotBS also has the deepest crafting mechanism of any current MMO. Alas, it's another of SOE's orphans that was picked up by a private, uber undercapitalized studio. Pretty good ship-based PvE and PvP, but really horrible AVCOM (land-based combat).

  12. I just find it pointless to rewrite history, even if unintentionally. To each his own concerning "integrity" on an Internet forum.

Believe me, as a former History professor and frequenter of numerous websites devoted thereto I understand your fervor. And I do hope you're not questioning my integrity -- as I've said numerous times in other threads here, being perceived 'right' on any Internet forum is of little consequence to me. :)
