  1. i can do the same every 15. for this i do not need ionic accelerator the cd of HIB is 15s ofcourse, your HIB does some more damage, but then again my stock strike does similar more damage than yours. the new ionic accelerator got nerfed nearly to useless. a nerf to the burst was indeed needed. but that's too much + restricting it to plasma cell is absurd! anyhow, it is not affecting me as i never liked that build. i was and am still playing an iron fist like one.
  2. you post does not make sense to me. if all are wearing more experticse than there shouldn't be any difference. the damage increase is getting nearly fully compensate by the damage reduction. now after 1.2 there is a small gap between them. but it is rather small and not explaining the observed issue at all. beside of this the issue aparetly happens in situations without any competence too. check out the pvp forum. many posts and threads about this issue.
  3. you mean 0 stacks compared to 5? for me there is absolutely no increasement in damage with 5 stacks over 0. also not the case for me. it does NOT tick instantly. the first damage tick come about 1 s after i started the pulse cannon and i hear the sound of it. hmm, can't tell if this is was true in my case. not paid attention to this.

    check out the tooltip: it is not explaining the huge difference after and before the patch, not even close! beside of this many reported the same issue in <50 bracket and in pve where expertise does not play any rol at all!
  6. finally, this is the first good and worth contribution to the expertise matter. a good idea. i too do not see any reason for having different levels of competence on the various sets. the stats differences are enough to sperate them.

    your calculation has some big mistakes. to mention a few: 1. with more battlemaster equip you get, the better you stand your man, the more commedations you will earn. so you maybe start with only 10, but long before you have your full equip you will be able to earn 40-70 per match 2. you can buy the blue set for money, you should be able to get more than 10 comms fighting in this set. if not, than it is a L2P issue. ....
  8. i think we both missed a lot. i didn't saw your complains (maybe i already am ignoring them) but you seem to have missed others.... like, skiltree talents not working or overall damage mitigation has GREATLY reduced overall, makeing the difference between a tank and non-tanks far smaller. this greatly affects the feeling of healers as their heal targets and themselfs die much faster giving the impression they heal less.
  9. it's indeed somewhat strange. i kill faster but ii also die faster. sounds fair but it feels boring and squishy. especially as tank you could survive far longer against mulitple opponents than now. something changed very much and it is not the competense causing this effect! it happens also for <50 bracket and pve.
  10. issue remains the same. and i still feel squishy with my iron fist build. no exageration but i die at least two times faster then before the patch. but i also kill faster. either mitigation has been reduced or damage improved overall. can't tell for sure.
  11. i still feel squishy, but it feels as if all are much more squishy. it is as if all, me and all other are simply doing more damage overall. and it is far more than the difference between +dmg, dmg reduction of the new comptetence. maybe the damage reduction from competence is not working at all. though this wouldn't explain this effect in non-competence situations others observed. don't know, but it is very vobvious that something is different. it is not that i feel weaker in an 1on1. in 1on1 on ones the cahnces to win are the same BUT the fight is much faster over than pre-patch. it is as if both are doing more damage on each other. its very odd.
  12. maybe it was after they seem to have mysteriously fixed it meanwhile. yesterday right after the patch i only found complains about a highly reduced damage mitigation, not only from us vanguards!
  13. yeah you missed something. after they "fixed" some stuff (it seems like the disabled damage mitigation from armor or something like that) with 1.2a they observed within an hour that they broke a ton of things... (npcs missing, whole areas missing with player chars in them too, and many many other thing). am damn curious how it works after the current patch. i doubt though that the broken pulse generator will be fixed. but i hope at least the broken damage mitigation wich affected all or most classes and hence at most thus with more armor etc., is fixed now. this is game breaking! and the main reason for the healer complain (even though the complainers do not know this as it seems).
  14. i also don't see any problems here. even being outnumbered it is damn easy to get 3 medals. at least if you not give up just idling somewhere around.
  15. you know that the HIB talent (i forgot its name, the one resetting its cd and its costs) now only works with plasma cell? in my opinion the biggest issue with its nerf, even worse than the far too big internal cd (which avarages out on >10s due to proc probabilities). lucky i never liked assault much anyway.

  18. feeling squisher has mainly nothing do with the expertise changes. meawhil there are a lot of reports from various troopers, not only vanguard confirming being squisher even without any expertice being involved (lower braket and pve). it is an overall issue with mitigation, probably only armor related. while also it seems that after the first patch after 1.2 (i think its called 1.2a) this was fixed. though it lasted only an hour or how long it was till they closed the servers again due to many other issues. and i don't get the claims here of 20 +dmg from expertise but only +10 dmg reduction. i call this bs as i have +17% dmg and slightly above +15% dmg reduction due to expertice. there is a difference but it is rather small.
  19. not for me. it always had a delay of around 1 sec. i never got the first damage tick instantly on all my tests.
  20. i do not have and won't ever be able to have a rotation playing my vanguard.
  21. now after 1.2? so one claims it doesn't, one says it does. in my case it does not! i tested it in a duell, my oponent just sitting there. i did it a lot of times and the damage was the same with 0 stacks as it was with 5 stacks. absolutely no difference. a 50% increase is quite big, nothing you would not observe if you are hitting THE SAME target who does nothing while you fire at it. if it indeed works for you than maybe the talent is only bugged some times. who knows. but it doesn't apply any damage with 5 stacks in my case.
  22. beside the usual useless whining there is also a lot broken now. you seem to overlook this. though, as it seems BW sees it. that's why we got today TWO emergency shutdowns of the servers. i can't tell for every issues, but beside of some broken class talents not working anymore, there was an issue with damage mitigation NOT due to competence for several classes/builds. the latter one created for healers the impresion not being able to heal anything. though most whiners as usually thought it is due to the slight healing nerf and dmg buff from competence. but is not. the difference is far too small to explain the mitigation difference in real. this though seems to have been fixed after the first emergency patch today. but then they messed up and reverted a lot of stuff elsewhere, so we got a second one. you guys may keep being so ingorant and think every think is fine while we got today to emergency patches/shut downs with the last one even not having an eta, but i rather suggest to open the eyes as this thread is more whine as the usual whine threads in here.
  23. ok. i only saw a lot of posts in the forums from people saying it didn't and some others confirming it as a known issue. actually you are the very first i ever saw posting it worked for him. i never tried it on my own though.
  24. i don't believe you. i have 17% dmg increase with expertise while i got slightly above 15% dmg reduction from expertise.
  25. actually this never worked as far as i know i don't see any difference between 0 stacks and 5 stacks.
