  1. if you are on a ledge and an operative stealth opens on you and you manage to knock him down off the ledge (with high probability) than i show you a bad operative.
  2. in general bad equipped players vanguard, IF similar build Any Healer (impossible to kill solo if he is well equipped and not stupid) sage/sorcs (most easiest to kill, don't lose more than 30%hp and only so much if other opponents are slowing me down or stunning me additionally to the sage/sorc) then i target what's best in each situation as dd sage/sorc i just use slow and stunn to help the team, but killing something alone that is well equipped, with full hp and fighting back is impossible if the opponent is not damn bad. as sentinel, watchman healers of any class situational
  3. i would say vice versa.... well i have not a direct IF build but kinda similar and i would say it is stronger than if and stronger than assault.
  4. i exclude healer speccs from my list. healers don't make sense in such a comparison in my opinion: top: sents/mara, vang/pt with a special tank/tactics hybrid build (similar but not the IF build), some assa/shadow near top: gunslinger/snipers, vang/pt assault/pyro specced (when tactics gets fixed a tactics build could get to the top) mid: operatives, assault commandos/mercs low: gunnery/tracer commandos/ mercs dead meat for all but gunnery/tracer commandos/mercs: sage/sorcs - no really, you suck if you lose to them on level 50 with bm gear! before 50 it's a different story. and as i said, healers are out of this list. i can't make a list that even remotely makes sense that includes healer. e.g. my vanguard kills everything but will be one of the worst on killing any healer specced class. it is due to his build which is awsome against everything except something with improved healing capabilities.
  5. strange. ion cell for me dos roughly the damage it is supposed to do, as the tooltip says, well at least with 2 points in it. but maybe i miss something. when i have time i could look more carefully on it.
  6. aha... because you have issues they are in need of a serious nerf? don't expect that you specific specc is same viable against all other classes and builds. i do not see any reason for a nerf for snipers/gunslingers. especially not from a vanguard point of view! i am still to see a sniper/vanguard beating me in a half way fair 1on1 (half way fair means slgiht advatage for him, not for me!). believe it or not but we have some damn good ones on our server, well of course not many but a few that are known around. and no, it is not due to my uber skills and also not my equip as the latter is only 2 pieces WH while most top gunslingers/snipers on our server already have nearly full wh already.
  7. you are wrong. consider: a wow realm had 2000 and more players (what is called a realm in wow is a server in swtor). a swtor server has at best around 600 (?) players. well usually less and actually currently with luck the half. actually currently you can't have ranked warzones with one server only. there are not enough players/teams to have a "ranking", not even close!
  8. why except in huttball? what does a jugg/guaddrian have that improves his usefullness in huttball over assa and pwoertech? but @topic: we already had the whines about juggs/guardians a few months back. you probably missed it.
  9. what's the reasoning for having weekly rewards being twice comms? isn't the weekly already an extra ot the dailies you have anyway? some comms on the top? there is no reason for or against it. the weeklay is just another quest giving you an extra to the dailies. how big this extra might be will be defined by taste, desired gear progression speed and mood of the devs. ... what questions we have here in the forums....
  10. really???? or is it a bug on the skill tree editor? i mean this build i probably the worst between a full shield tech build and an iron fist build i ever saw. it iat least sub optimal for pve and even worse for pvp.

    one of the most stupiest statements of these forums. actually this game is not build for anything. it fails in every discipline. though pvp is more or less the only thing left people are somewhat "enjoying". why not extend it to keep some customers at least a few months longer. swtor will not exist next year anyway.... wanna bet?
  12. lol no. all tanks can close the gape and are mitigating most of their damage while interrupting and thus locking down it anyway. why even asking? they have no advantage against any class! p.s. i assume you are talking about dd sages/sorcs. EDIT: there are only 3 situations where a sage/sorc has a chance against a sent/mara: 1. pre level 50 2. sent/mara is worse equipped than t2 (doesn't matter what the sage/sorc has, can be better) 3. sent/mara is an idiot you can be chuck noris and would lose as sage/sorc if not one of the above cases is true.
  13. it is no math, it is more of ONE case of how the simulation CAN go. it is only one of many many ways. it is is. it is already in the mathematical expression called "expectation". the expectated value of a random variable is the wighted sum of all possible outcomes, wighted by their probability. sure, but on the same way it can happen that you need 10 IP to get the proc. all these posibilites avarage oumt at 2.2222 times needed to use IP. oh you are right. this is a mistake. somewhoe i had in mind that SS is on a 15s cd. this math is not correct. you assume that it is enoguh to do only 2 attacks to get the procc. the SS with a lower cd than i expected for sure decreases the expected time for a proc, but it is not as simple to calculated as you assume. though it will definetly go below 2 times and most probably be close to what you calculated above (even though your formula is wrong). consider, you have SS every 9 sec, this means it can be instead of a second IP after the 6s internal cd. but if it fails to proc you have to continue using IP. the expectation is the wighted sum of all possibile outcomes, or here game sequences until you get the proc. with the mistake you pointed out, the shorter cd for SS my 12s are wrong. but you won't get below 10s as estimated time for a HIB proc. though, fgrom time to time, when you have "bad luck" and do not get a procc for over 15s than of course the normal cd of HIB run out. this opens the possibility to get a proc just after a normal HIB. but to happen this you must first have so long no proc that the normal cd runs out. it will happen, not so rare as you might think. this maybe gives you the false impression.
  14. from your stats i assume you have at least full bm + at least 2 or 3 items from wh set. in that case you are either lying about that you eat 10k HIBs or you are lying about your equip. you should never see a HIB on you with more than 5k, no matter what drugs the PT had on him at that time.
  15. that's no math. the math is this: we have a chance to procc it from ion pulse of 0.45. the question is how many times in EXPECTATION do we need to use ion pulse to get ONE procc. this is a geometric distribution. the expectation is: 1/0.45 = 2,222 we need 3s to do 2 ion pulse and because we can't do only 0.222 of an ion pulse we usually will need 4.5s to get a procc actually this latter conclusion is not mathematically correct but a vlaid simplification). adding this to our forced internal cd of 6s we get a proc every 10.5s. but we than have to wait another 1.5s to actually be able to activate the HIB. thus every 12s we are shooting one HIB. Sorry at this point as in my previous post i made a mistake by 1s. no this does not consider the 0.6 procchance from stock strike. but you cannot spam sockstrike, you only can use it every 15s. so the impact of it will not be great.

  17. my >50% damage reduction of kinetic and energy damage and my 9% (actually it is 19% due to my consular buff integrated in my class buff) dmg reduction of elemental and physical damage. Plus 4% damage reduction of all kind from targets i hit with ion pulse or surge explosion. so my opponents actually do 54% / 23% less damage to me. and i have my abilitites like our reactive shield which give us a flat 25% damage reduction for 12s.... or smoke granate....

  21. hmm, but it is not retarded that the ranged classes don't do that much damage in these 4s, have a nearly 1 min cd on it while the close combat classes usually have a gap closer on a <=15s cd AND doing more damage in 4s than then ranged classes? well, i think the only retarded(s) here is.... no, let me say it in other words: L 2 P ok, just two letters and a number.

  24. no it is 11.5 to be exact. considering the proc chance from ion pulse it ends in 11.5s in expectation. sure it is possible to have it in 3GCD, but it is not to be expected. ina varage you have it every 11.5s. edit: and usually you have to wait up to another 1.5s of gcd to actualy be able to use the proc and activate HIB. so practically it is slightly over 12s. though, i admit the higher procc chance from stockstrike increases this slightly, only slightly because you have strockstrike only once every 15s.
