  1. i could imagine the disaster server transfers would bring

you might as well just delete every server off the list besides high pop ones.eather way i guess in terms of people on the fleet maybe your just logging in at the wrong times, cuz my server usually has over a hundred people on the fleet but its normally at night

I have a character on a server where there can be fewer than 20 on the fleet at night. I would probably pay the full price of the game again if I could transfer that character to a different server. Ranked pvp will be impossible, and I really do mean impossible.

  2. Look for green stuff. Guns, cast icon, stuff floating around them, etc.

Healer mercs will have a green combat cylinder buff.

Operatives are a bit harder but generally if a guy with one big gun is just standing there not shooting anyone he's a healer.

Or you can just play enough to know the healers by name ;)

  3. Why is backpedaling such a no no?

Because using strafe and turning with your mouse can accomplish the same thing as backpedaling, but a whole lot faster. That said, sometimes I backpedal when I'm trying to get my opponent to move to a specific spot.

  4. Solo queue at off-hours along with your team. Chances are you get in together. Considering how low the pvp'ing populations are on some servers, the solo ratings will be dominated by people timing their queues and cherry picking queue times. I play on 2 servers and on one of them there is often only 1 or 2 level 50 WZs going at a time, if there's one at all.
  5. We might hear a response about mergers after 1.2 is released. If fewer people than anticipated come back to the game, then we might get mergers. As a public company they can't do anything that makes it look like the game is failing unless they absolutely have to, even if doing something sooner would be good for players.
  6. Pyro gave me more scoreboard damage but with Arsenal I am more effective at actually killing things. IMO, heals/cleanse are much more effective against pyro. With Arsenal I can just vaporize people with a few casts and with pyro I burst them down to like 35% and then heal back up/reshield/cleanse and whatever and the dots that are left ticking can't finish them off. I get more kills and more killing blows and fewer deaths with Arsenal. With arsenal I can sometimes burst down a ball carrier with heals on him. Something I can't do with pyro.

    edit - typo

  7. So I leap in, overload, zealous strike, cauterize and merciless slash. Maybe throw in some leg slash and crippling throw. With all of that on cooldown what do I use? I feel like I'm spending way too much time just whacking on people for minimal damage until one of their teammates comes along to destroy me. When I play my merc I feel like Sentinels rip me apart but when I play a sentinel I open on BH healers and I swear their health bar doesn't move. Once I put those abilities on cooldown what do I do? Just strike and slash until the the cooldowns come back up? When I see screenshots of guys doing 700k+ I know I must be doing it wrong but I cna't figure it out.
  8. If everyone could kill a healer 1v1 there would be no point to playing a healer. It is pretty frustrating for dps though. If a player is following me around a WZ sometimes I'll just stop moving and heal myself until they realize they just aren't going to kill me. Ever. If they're really bad I'll jump around in front of them. At that point they usually move on for the rest of the match. I WIN!
  9. Increases your total alacrity. Critical reaction will boost your alacrity up 5 more percent, or if you had 0 % to start, will make it into a 5%. 4% more can be got from systems calibrations, making 9% total just from talents alone.

But if I have 0 alacrity to start, won't an increase of 5% still leave me at 0 alacrity? It seems odd that you need to put 4 points into alacrity talents to get a 4%, sometimes 9% boost to a secondary stat that you probably won't have that much of, and get a static 9% to aim, your primary stat, for 3 points.

If I have a few hundred alacrity it seems really dumb to spend 4 points to get an increase of like 35 alacrity. That's basically nothing for 4 points. But why do the devs put in 2 alacrity talents, one of them requiring 3 points in something else, that are basically useless? I want a useful alacrity talent.
