  1. This ^ I can't imagine it would be too hard to come up with a handful of story lines for some world bosses, like a Mandalorian Commander coming to find out why the war heads weren't delivered....
  2. As a Vanguard I have found my best role to be a healer defender. I sit back and pew pew with my hammer shot, I use guard and the rest when the healers get jumped or another teammate is rushing in to fight. If someone gets a jump on the healers then I unload my stock strike, ion, gut, high impact etc... Usually in this role I find myself getting lots of kills and helping keep teammates a live. I'm a tactics build...
  3. Yea I feel the same, I wish there was a trooper only guild on SwiftSure
  4. BINGO! Custom sets from each boss would be ideal and changing up the fights would be really rad. Like putting one boss on a cliff, then giving them knock back attacks. Changing things up in a simple why, but adding a challenge that would really incorporate some world pvp.
  5. Yea the world bosses are really cool right now, but seem wasted as they are low levels and no one really seems to want to kill them
  6. In an effort to increase world PVP and give players a reason to revisit old worlds, has there been any consideration for better world bosses on each planet? I realize there are world bosses on each planet already but many are lower level and don't drop very good loot. If all of the world bosses were made for a level 50 fight of 20-30 players, then made to drop amazing level 50 gear that rivaled the hardmode and pvp gear, I think it would be an amazing dynamic that would bring in a lot of guild rivalries, open world pvp and reasons for people to log on more, (is the Tatooine Droid Boss up yet? No. Well someone camp the spawn site...)
  7. Yea, so we can ruin the personal and community experience, who needs social outlets in an MMO... right? They should just copy the main stream lazy approaches that helped WOW triple it's teenage population....
  8. signed, I'd love to have a day and night cycle
  9. Yes, I love it. but there are (4) main issues I have... I'm hoping most will someday be added or fixed... (1) no warzones that are 20vs20, 30vs30 or 40vs40 (2) the space combat isn't open enough (3) there isn't very much traditional storm / clone trooper type armor. The low level first armor set with the red havoc symbols is awesome, but only the chest piece is orange and can have the stats changed, why can't every piece be that way? (4) less loading screens and more open planets like tatooine and hoth
  10. Multiplayer or pvp based space combat would be awesome...
  11. It's called being a teenager... These aren't grown adults, they're the kids who bugged mom for a CC#... A grown mature adult with a job would just quit the game and spend their hard earned money else where. Little kids have a feeling of self worth that hasn't yet been crushed by the strains and responsibility of adulthood, so they therefore feel entitled to express their emotional distress through inappropriate outlets....
  12. I hope he is correct, I'd really love to see more space combat, the current space combat is fun, but not leaves one desiring more...
  13. This is really the only issue I have with the game, I wish the worlds were more open, less tunnels and funnels, less taxi cabs or scout bikes, What I loved about WOW, was that I could walk from Un'Goro crater all the way to Orgimmar if I wanted. In SWTOR, I just don't get the feeling the world is open or alive... Now don't get me wrong, I still LOVE SWTOR and am fully addicted, but I'd love it a lot more if I could land my space ship myself, fly through space and walk from area to area, without loading screens in a fluid environment.
  14. I'd say my server "swiftsure" is going down... Our aussies are preparing to transfer and leave for their new servers, so our population is about to be cut in half...
  15. Are there any future plans for large scale war zones such as (20vs20, 30vs30, 40vs40)?
  16. MMO's for the first year are always LONG TERM plans... When WOW first came out they were advertising siege weapons, honor systems and more... It took them awhile to get the finished product out. It is one of the enjoyable attributes of the MMORPG games, they are constantly updating, changing and adding new content. I see nothing but good news from BioWare about future content, from more Warzones, to more planets, to better customized UI, to more craftable items. These aren't promises being made for fall or next winter, but for the next big patch that'll be out fairly soon. The biggest problem y'all face is that a lot of people are failing to realize that as a vendor BioWare is trying to sale a product to more then one class of players. WOW was successful, because it was a jack of all trades and a master of none. There was a decent PVE, a decent PVP, a decent RP, a small sandbox feel... It was enough to keep many people sucked in for a while and was enough to usually bring back a lost player. It wasn't perfect, but it was enough. I see potential in this game, because I see tons of stuff to do... POST-50 too...
  17. One of the components of the early stage of Warcraft that I thought was really awesome was the post HONOR system, but pre-battlegrounds era. It was short lived, but consisted of a lot of HEAVY world pvp. From battles between SS and TM. As well as ganking parties roaming every level 50+ zone... Has there been any thought or consideration for WORLD PVP rewards? Not zone's like Ilum, but rather simply a system of income or commendations for just ganking and pvping in normal zones?
  18. Yes and No. What I've seen is companies that take a risk like lets say Funcom with (Age of Conan) usually do good, but then they cave in to the whiners. My guild from Everquest had moved to WOW, then from WOW had waited for Age of Conan. We wanted the open world PVP where anyone was dead meat immediately from the beginning. Age of Conan was immediately a gank fest. The first noobie yard which was just outside of the (solo zone) tutorial area was a full on warzone from day one. You couldn't get into the tunnels and sewer system unless you had a group. People had groups of 4-10 forming to fight other players, just so they could quest. This WAS the advertised game play that most people wanted. Our guild LOVED IT. Yet people kept complaining that it wasn't fair. They couldn't quest without friends, they couldn't group and the world was ruthless. Eventually they cut the open world PVP, made restrictions and ultimately killed the reasons many of us had bought the game. It started big, but their own desire to cater to the casual gamers resulted in our guild going back to WOW.... Surprisingly many others followed right behind us... Had they kept their PVP system like they advertised, there is no telling how that game would have ended up. So yea, they tried something new and got smashed against the rocks, but only because they diverted the course.
  19. Actually you apparently never saw the star wars christmas special..
  20. I feel your pain... I'm on the same schedule and was happy to find out that SwiftSure was an Aussie dominated server. I'll miss them dearly and will sadly have to find more PST night owls
  21. I agree with the last poster who said that SWTOR is only a SOLO game is you want it to be... They made it so you do not have to be social if you don't want to be, which is better then making it social whether you want it or not. Some people play on low pop servers or late at night, so having a less social experience can be a good thing for them. For those of us who want a more social experience, then make it one. I'm still waiting for a 501st Legion to start up on my server so I can jump my trooper over for my good ole fashion blaster skirmish lines.
  22. Well from watching "New Hope" everyone knows that the only thing troopers can successfully aim at and hit / kill are Jawa's... So as a Trooper, I demand Jawas.
  23. Can we please see some playable "small" races? I'm thinking Jawa's, Ewoks and Yoda types.
