I've spent....plenty. These packs seem to be 'streaky' more so than other packs. I opened two packs in a row and got skiffs, I also opened 3 packs that were the EXACT same in a row. But all in all I'm happy with the latest pack content, although the crafting mats are still trash. Also, the cartel market 'tokens' should be sellable and not bound to a character, imo.

End game gear is not craftable with 2.0, so this post is moot.

This^^^^. I'm sorry, but I'm going to start calling out trains of thought like this. Let's say a person doesn't like eating tomatoes; these forums are full of people who can't just stop at not eating tomatoes, they want to ban anyone from eating tomatoes. The real issue here is usually one of envy; they don't like that someone may have something they don't. Sad commentary on a big aspect of how a society disintegrates, but that's for another thread.

What EAware did was wrong - simple as that. And what's worse is that it is a very random chance to even progress in the P2R system. Nope, you, my friend, are wrong. The reputation comes in almost every single pack. The only potential problem I see is with the 'tokens' that are quite rare, but I'm sure it'll be adjusted. And the whole 'P2W' or 'P2R'....yawn.

While progressing with the new reputation faction may be slower, it could also progress faster if you are willing to SPEND (gasp) CREDITS (wait you may have more credits than me.....). All these trolls complaining about the Cartel Market or anything having to do with money are sooooo tiring and clogging up these forums. Here is some advice that may help any of you suffering from the 'Whaaaaa Cartel Market' Syndrome. 1. Money is not a bad thing, a company trying to be profitable so it can expand and pay its employees well is not a bad thing. The Cartel Market is not a bad thing (you can get almost anything from the cartel market on the gtn). 2. Put the shoe on the other foot (no, the other foot...no that's your head...yes great you got it) Should I start trolling about how I don't have as much time as many do so I can't get through all the end game content as fast, or have as many alts as others do? Should we all be given a toon from each class and if it takes 'too long' to level them up then Bioware should do it for us? Sound stupid? It should. If it doesn't.....maybe the shoe should go on your head. 3. If someone wants to spend money on the game, they should be allowed to; if you don't want to then you can aquire items from the cartel market through other means-just look at the new vendors introduced today. If there's something that can't be had unless it's purchased through the Cartel Market, then make a suggestion on how to change it (not 'just give it to me for free now'). But realize that it's okay for some things to be solely for those who want to invest money, and not time . Just like some can invest time and not money (get that shoe out of your mouth, that's gross) 4. Repeat each sentence 10 times twice a day for a week, after first saying 'I feel good about myself, I am important': a) Cartel Market does not equal P2W b)Cartel Market does not favor anyone more than long Operations favor anyone (extra money vs extra time) c)If someone has more cartel coins than you they are not evil (no really, they're not) d)repeat a) from above Hopefully this will help pull some of you out of your minds' imaginary world of misery and envy, and come back to the happy happy joy joy life of playing SWTOR for fun.

I'm worried about the new commendation system initially as everything gets converted over to the new format. Some of my characters have over 400 daily comms alone; what will happen if we have more than the cap? Will it be enforced from the start, or will we be allowed to go over the cap initially?

I agree; the more alts you have the higher the weekly cap should be. If people want to grind, let them do it! Especially if there's a particular faction they're really interested in. It would give an incentive to have more than one character and serve as a reward for people who play the game a lot. If people put the time in, they should be able to enjoy the rewards at least somewhat faster.

Eh, ok this post has gone off topic. Original intent was to express surprise at the sudden application of sales tax to this purchase, as last week there was none. And if someone thinks we shouldn't be annoyed by new taxes or tax hikes, then you're probably not paying taxes at all.

$0.50??? Clearly the knowledge of taxes is NOT strong with this one. I know that tax rates are decided/levied by state and local governments, but this came as a surprise. Other game purchases I've made do not have taxes applied (like game cards purchased from stores) so I'm wondering if this is a law originating from where Bioware is based? Not sure how that works, but on my $39.99 purchase tax was $3.74 I believe.

This must have just gone into effect (as in the past couple days). Can Bioware comment on this though? I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the Government for considering my money theirs.

I showed my thanks by purchasing some cartel coins, and then I saw that suddenly we're being charged tax on these purchases, about 9%!!! Either some law just changed (like in the past few days) or this is a mistake.

So I finished all the dailies and killed both world bosses on Ilum, but I only have 3900 out of 5000 xp need for newcomer rank so I can board the ship. Other people already have newcomer rank....what am I missing?

Just bought cartel coins and they're not showing up in game. Tried logging out of both website and game and logging back in, but nothing is there. I got an email confirming my purchase went through though.

I have done the group finder twice, great experience both times!!

The OP here has no idea what they're talking about, I just ran a HM flashpoint using the group finder and it worked perfectly.

I have an augmented battlemaster leggings piece for my sentinel. I went to put an augment in it this morning, and it says I have to update the augment slot??? On a valor lvl 60 piece???
