  1. yep. Equip the stats no matter how fugly the gear is, and cover it with the outfit. Low-lv greens and crafts are extremely cheap, and it's totally possible to get something decent (time-consuming, though, one has to ctrl+click throughout the GTN).
  2. Waiting for the current 30 days sub to expire, doing some slow rep-grinding. Going to resub once they add more actual content. Grinding weeklies + same old SF till January sounds like no fun, really. And those corpse fields do not make it any better (just saying).
  3. It's true that the render happens client-side, however the server has to spawn them all. And where it used to be (let's say) 10 strings per room) now it's more like 100. Location x+y, mob-type, current state ('dead', scannable-not scannable) etc -those are all given by server. And while it does not sound like a huge amount of data, multiply those 100 (very likely much more for some zones) per number of HC locations AND per number of clients (because server has to 'inform' EACH visiting player in the zone about their current environment). Servers do not run with 6gb ram, sure, but it's an increased traffic and activity where none should be. Also add the client-side issues. The engine itself also has limits with the possible max amount of models per zone. It might be big depending on the players config, but it's not infinite. No ETA for the fix with no comments is disturbing (to say the least).
  4. Why do people bother to drag 'zomg nerf' even here? The respawn timers seem to work just fine, even actual despawn does happen soon enough, it's just the mob model is not removed. They spawn, they get killed, looted and-or scanned, and then they just remain as a fugly scenery element. Scanned ones however tend to actually disappear. It does look weird and annoying, and it's been fun like may be for the first night. As is - it covers the usables (if any) and it adds to the lags (because - freaking amount of models). It does not prevent from making a quest, and the drop/spawn rates look normal.
  5. I'm a bio. Unfortunately those corpses are not salvageable (like 99% of the time). Analyzing my own\others' fresh corpses is possible, and it does make them disappear, but all the body carpet is normally grey and impossible to scan. My guess is that it is due to the bug, the server must be considering them non-existent since the moment they pass the normal despawn time-out. It's just server (or does it happen client-side?) forgets to remove the model.

  7. While I agree that so far the plot is streamlined at its worst, I think that it's the wrong way to judge the choices. It's not the choices per se, it's the illusion of choice that really matters. Episode with Lana& accepting\declining the help? It took me some time to think it over, because I was trying to decide from the character's point of view. My smuggler lady never cared about Lana, but she just had to do something about it. Later as I've been browsing, I've stumbled upon the alternative cut-scene version. I say - well played, BW. Characters don't read spoiler forums, don't watch spoilers on YT and don't play 200 alts. It's wrong to say that the choice was meaningless, because it definitely had a value of its own. E.g. Imagine you see a toddler baby crawling too close to the edge of the swimming pool. Mommy is not far, but she's distracted by a handsome barmen. Daddy is on the other side of the pool, all chances are that he'll be quick enough to swim and save the child anyway. The security man is also there, watching and ready to rescue. How 'meaningless' would your action (warn the parents, notify the staff, hold the baby etc) or lack of thereof be? The child should be fine and safe anyway, shouldn't he?
  8. Nope. Those were mostly inactive and gray (either due to the bug or due to the fact than no one had looted them). Same had happened on Balmorra and Ord-Mantel. Luckily despawning did not seem to affect the spawning timers. But it does look like a bad one, I mean the videocard has to process them all at once.   9. The fun thing is. The healer is not supposed to soak damage, they are supposed to (surprise!) heal. If you're a DPS and can't keep aggro of your healer - it's not the game's fault, really. Even more so if you're a tank. CCs and interrupts are there for a reason. Those stats you've shown? Those are normal healing numbers, I'd even say she's a li'll bit better at healing than my scoundrel is (208-216 gear + some augments). T7 or Senya healing 20k++ was beyond ridiculous. Now they only need to fix tanks (pulls are broken, but I had an impression that the armor bug had been addressed, at least it does not show as 0).
  10. I've reported the pull\charge issue in the bug-report section, but I've only tested it with Koth and T7. Koth could charge in just fine, while T7 remained in place. The grappling pull, however is entirely broken for either of the two. It does not pull as an opener and\or from stealth ( the skill is 'used', the CD is on, but nothing happens), and it DOES pull the CCed targets when used during the combat. ps: Oh, and their idea of 'instant' is 100% not the same as mine.
  11. so looks like it did reset with the patch. At least for some players. And we're kinda screwed. Unless there's a new dialogue option like [tell him to *** with his *** hunting] that completes the mission.

  13. I've been testing it through several different planetary HCs (Voss, Corellia, Balmorra) Tested with Koth (lv9) & T7(lv15), sawbones scoundrel 65. No auto-use for the skills. 1. Grappling hook DOES NOT pull a damn thing unless one is already in combat. CD is used, no animation or result (other than entering a combat) followed. Pulling out of stealth and\or as an opener was supposed to be the main feature for this skill. Control the strongest, pull the rest away. Cover, immunity etc have nothing to do with this - it's been like that on strongs and on normals as well. 2. When it does pull (no stealth, combat engaged) it PULLS THE CCed targets as well. Surprisingly, the pull itself does not break their CC (the pulled droids remain sliced and humanoids are kept tranquil), and neither does any of the tanking skills. Any player's AOE or damage does (which is the reason NOT to pull the CCs into the hot spot to begin with ). 3. T7 has issues with his 'charge' ability as well. He does not jump into the enemy (Koth - does).
  14. It does not look like 'working as intended' to me, I have Qyzen's objective reset to 'go&talk', all the trophies are gone from my inverntory. Not that I had many of those, it was ~3 or something like that, but I'd hate to be that guy who had spent 2 hours on crowded camping and logged off with 15. Also, if that sort of thing involves 4X and Lokin...
  15. I'm not sure which one helped, but after setting "bitraider_download_complete": { "swtor": false (in launcher.settings) and deleting the video&patch folder I've got the downloading started. Speed could be better, but it's not worse I've seen, and that's something that is not error&freez.
  16. Nope, not able to download, neither with bitraider nor without it. It does not even start. I'm getting Error 311 (once managed to get 310..I think). Does it count as a 'period of download inactivity' lol? I do know that my network connection is ok. Fix it, BW.

  18. getting the error 311 (network connection). Even while trying to repair the client. My network connection is 100% fine. I'm posting this + I can run Utorrent + I can listen to the streamed music and watch the vids.

  20. I don't think it worked. All I've got was 'Unable to retrieve the patch data' error (311)! @all be careful with what you do, and ALWAYS BACK UP FIRST!
  21. They are, but the patches are still (somewhat) broken. I've been waiting for several minutes already... (it says 'updating' with no visible progress)
  22. You can't get more alerts from the same quest-giver before you complete the current ones. E.g. Qyzen is given by the military, and you don't have an option to start recruiting the next character before you're done with the current one. Atm most of the times 'done'='complete the mission& recruit'.
  23. Well, that's still better than pulling extra non-hostile beasts AND a CCed elite anyway, isn't it? You know how they say? 'If you want to make a person happy, make their life worse and then undo the changes'. So very true. Hopefully this 4.03 with its armor fixes comes soon, and then I'm going to be the one and only healer in my part (as intended).
  24. But...but...you mean...someone had finally decided to give us back a ranged CC-friendly pull?! No. Can't be. Too good to be true. You're almost make this patch sound like an improvement. I'm almost intrigued. Increasing the output per affection level is no good though, it's a highway to grind. More threat = good, no doubt with that one.
  25. Should I remind you that 'before 4.0' also basically means 'proper gear with proper stats and proper tanking/ dps/ heal profiles'? How about 'hybrid specs'? Does not ring a bell? That kind of 'nerf' I'd gladly accept. Except that no one is giving it to me.
