This convo comes up often and I have argued with people about it too. Some people think learning a few powers and having their companions on auto-attack is the same thing as mastering the combat in this game. it is quite possible for a person to go to 1-55 and never learn how to: 1) Play their class with each type of companion effectively. Letting their healing companion auto heal is how they managed to get to the end. I think this is why some people feel that the healing companion is the best one. 2) Understand all of their abilities and when to use them. Defensive buffs and Offensive buffs are your friend. 3) Learn how to use relics and heroic moments to tip the battle in yoyr favor. I beat every boss in this game with the Heroic moment alone. Using my strongest moves with the relic is very helpful as well. This is just my hypothesis but I notice these things when I do dailies all the time. People who do not have a rotation with their character and are slowly killing two normals and a strong. I have played every advanced class and used every companion combination. I do not think the problem is on BW's end. P.S. It is an MMO, if you cannot beat it just ask for help in general. If no one wants to help, than try again later.

After playing RotHC

Now we are thinking the same. I did wait awhile and was suprised how cheap they were on both of those servers two months ago.

I got them for less than a 100k in the Jedi Covenant and Shadowlands servers.

1) Gear up the toon at 50 2) Collect pvp gear 3) work on achievements 4) Would say unlock legacy features but I already have all companions maxed out and have all of the heroic moment powers. The presence buff is lovely. 5) Already colleced over 90% of datacrons after lanch. A few more I need to collect on my main server. 6) Do dailies for money to supply my alts. 7) Play with fiance wiht her toon. 8) Do a HMFP here and there. 9) Queue up for a operation 10) if I do not get in I do something else like go play a alt.

Based on myself if I was a Jedi Guardian. 3rd toon. Based on Darth Zannah but I made her twi'lek because I liked my first twi'lek. 4th toon. Based on my Shepard from ME1-3. Femshep FTW. 5th toon. A big blue twi'lek named after Apocalypse but decided to make him a conflicted Sith Warrior in the story. 6th toon. My Bounty Hunter looks like Sagat from Street Fighter. 7th toon. Based off of Bao-Dir from KotOR 2. Made him a Consular. 8th toon. My Imperial Agent is original. 9th toon. My Sentinel was original. Also got a toon based off of D'jango and Juhani that I am leveling up. The rest are all original ideas because I know how every class story will go.

/Agreed. Some people seem to forget that gaming is a form of escapism. I am myself all day but in SWTOR I am devout Jedi Guardian who questons the Jedi beliefs because of his feelings for Kira. Stuff like that makes the game fun and adds replay value besides the "More ops, more pvp...."

Wow. You just stated how I felt. I thought I was going to see more Star Wars theme players myself. Especially when you consider KOTOR as well. So I just roleplay solo or with my fiance.

You do know we can get together and create our own world pvp battles. I have participated in a couple before and they were awesome! The Imps tried to take our base in Section X. We managed to push them back all the way to the entrance of their base, but the Republic toons started losing heart and more Imps showed up. We lost that day. Achievements is one reward system and all they need to do now is add a quest for killing other players anywhere. Instant organic pvp that will not feel forced. Anytime and almost anywhere.

Pretty much. ^ Personally I do a operations rarely. HM OPS less than that. I am not against alternatives for getting really good gear. Always loved their black hole system. I have not fully tested the comms system since 2.0.

Honestly, CoH was great before it died. If BW could get as much as content in before they close these servers as CoH did before it died; I would be a happy gamer.

pretty much. My fiance unsubbed, but I have technically payed for the months she has stopped playing the game through the cartel market. This is not my first F2P game and other games are using the DLC concept to raise extra money. I am not really against it I feel it is something I feel is worth purchasing. Bioware just needs to make something in 2.2 worth it for a sub. RotHC and 2.1 all required real money or use real money. They should have let the character appearence tool use both in game money and cartel coins.

Bingo. That is like changing a friend or family member. Sounds right in your head but then they would not be the person you know anymore. I created a new toon named after a certain Bioware RPG character.

I bought cathar with the monthly stipend and the CC from doing achievements.... what is the problem. I unsubbed not for the 2.1 cartel market but because the best part of the game is free. If they are not going to make content that I need to be subbed for then why sub? Now if 2.2 has features for subs then I will resub.

I also noticed that the real colors I want require gambling to get. Why don't we have pazaak again? I gamble all the time ingame with these boxes with real money.

It is rather annoying. here is why. 1) You would have to buy an entire set off the GTN 2)You have some pieces from cartel packs and had to collect the rest off of the GTN. 3) You managed to complete an entire set off of cartel packs alone. All they had to do was give me access to all the pieces I have equipped already. Cartel packs better drop entire sets instead of pieces. If not the system is useless to me. Rather buy the outfit directly off the GTN or a COMPLETE MY OUTFIT unlock in the collecton's window. BTW. Unsubbed because I have spent more money in the CM then I do with a six month monthly fee. I rather just play for the story for now and sub every once in awhile.

My only problem with that is that it might make gearing up your alts a little too fast. Wit the 2.0 comm limits I felt the restrictions made alt gearing way too slow. Bioware has adjusted them now and I have not tested how much time it takes to gear up toons at the moment. I still feel the Black Hole comms set up was their best work in my opinion. At the same time, I am an altaholic and welcome legacy features as I care more for unlocking them than playing operations.
