  1. Agreed. Pretty disappointed that the hard earned DvL achievements were reset. How would they like it if I smashed their trophies and certificates indicating that they worked hard? /signed with extreme prejudice.
  2. I worked hard to get 100% on the DvL achievement tab. Now it's gone. Why reset it? Just have it be a recurring event LIKE ALL THE OTHERS!!!!! (Except Chevin Conglomerate RIP) I knew Bioware would do this. I just knew it. Start resetting achievements. It was never about the rewards. Most of them were pretty worthless. Like the three sets of "Kreia's Upper Body armor." I could maybe use one if I was in the mood. What about the rest? Anyways...I am really disappointed that Bioware did this action. This is a sin, and a screw you to players who worked hard to get these achievements. Now they can't show them off. Gotta, level the playing field for everyone. Gotta, do it all over again. I am just really disappointed. I mean, why bother doing it again? Why bother trying to complete any achievement if Bioware has already crossed the line in terms of taking people's work, and wiping it clean like some toddler. It's just beyond comprehension.
  3. Thank you for all the important info. I always forget about the Unity and Heroic Movement abilities. When I was well rehearsed with the fights on my guardian, I could burn down the first few bosses super fast. Thanks again!
  4. Been in a sort of insanity loop with my Guardian DPS trying to get the <Sprint Champion" achievement in the Eternal Championship Achievement tab. Most I've done it consecutively is maybe...eight, nine times. Got it down really well. Melee Damage seems to be the be the key. However, I am still having trouble. I see a lot of players with the achievement and I ask them what class they used. Every time it has been Marauder/Sentinel in the Ataru spec. (Middle tree iirc.) Makes sense. Except, I suck at the rotations for the class, regardless of spec. Ever since 1.0/2.0. Some time way back when. I've tried everything else I can think of to minimize time wasted. I've even set the repair droid in the arena to "focus target" and used guardian leap to get to the console faster. So, if anyone has managed to get the achievement with any other class/spec than Sentinel/Marauder, I would greatly appreciate the feedback. Also, has anyone determined for sure what exactly counts for time? Let's say...the timer starts the second you grab the quest? Or enter the arena? Thanks
  5. Would be cool to resurrect swoop racing from KoTOR I and II. Make it competitive or something. Also, being able to give gifts to companions in bulk, rather than have to click once over and over again.
  6. I too would like a Space Station Stronghold. But completely separate from fleet. Maybe a smaller version of one of those space stations that orbit the dual faction planets. Hangers, rooms, big windows, multiple levels, the works. Bioware could make a pretty profit off it. Seeing as some strongholds can be expensive, (tatooine and yavin and Nar Shaddaa) Bioware could easily make the Space Station Stronghold cost the most. Players would pay. And like the other Strongholds, you could unlock more rooms with Cartel Coins, which in turn, would require players to pay irl money. Profit to be made Bioware....
  7. Hello, this has happened a number of times, but everytime I try to log off in my Stronghold, strictly for my new Bounty Hunter class, whenever I log back on, I appear on the planet I was previously questing on. I am trying to take advantage of downtown to build up some rest points, but for this particular class, everytime I QT to my stronghold and log off, I appear on the planet the moment I log back on with a far lower quantity of rest points than I should have. (The rest point bar is at the same length as the XP bar.) I know I am logging off in my Strong Hold because I run around in it, and I sell trash and loot and move companion gifts to cargo hold.
  8. At this point I'd sacrifice my left nut to see these gold spammers disappear. Come on bioware.
  9. Thanks all. And true, credits are pretty easily obtainable. And I'm cool with current outfit. A lot to keep track of when transferring. I deleted a toon with several thousand warzone comms on it. But by the grace of Bioware, I got them back.
  10. Avoid Operative/Scoundrel for PvP. Terrible burst heals which are absolutely necessary to be effective (100%, see the other user who said the same). Best heals would be sorc/sage. Merc/Mando are pretty good. Better burst heals. For PvE, all pretty good honestly, done them all. Scoundrel/operative is nice because you can stealth rez if you're rehearsed well enough in the fight. I personally LOVE Sage/Sorc for PvE, nice beefy heals, with strong sustenance.
  11. On my Gunslinger, I had a number of different outfits (5), all paid for of course, I did some server transferring with him and when I logged onto said toon, none of the outfits were there. They are all the same thing, the current outfit I have on now, aka whatever the currently worn gear is. Not too upset, it's just aesthetics, but still, I paid for something and now I no longer have it.
  12. I encountered a couple of bosses in two HM Flashpoints that are doing insane amounts of damage and are far more difficult that previously, or just unbeatable all the same. And honestly, I'm unsure if there are more. Case in point, Battle of Rishi Shield Squadron and Assault on Tython Jedi Master Oric Traless (squidhead) It's absolutely insane. Sword Squadron I've given up trying to beat seeing as the fight is a complete ****** regardless of tactics. I've managed to kill that boss 2-3 times. Got the 25 kill count on the other two boss fights. Instant death. As tank, if you grab the adds, the damage from the boss + the damage from the adds rips you apart. If you don't grab the adds, they rip the group apart. Specifically the healer. Boom! Can't even get a cast off. Poor guy. Secondly, Oric Tralesss in Assault on Tython. I've done the Pub side of AoT quite a few times. The final boss is a cake walk. Even with new, inexperienced, undergeared players. Imp side? Good luck. Tried it with two healers, both were competent, still got beaten to death with a thousand rubber hoses. I get the impression the devs are snickering as they change the coding in the game. Adding a couple zeros to the end of a value that indicates how much damage an NPC attack is supposed to do. I really wouldn't mind AT ALL, I really wouldn't, if said buggy, retarded bosses were at the start, or even middle of the flashpoints. NOPE. Gotta do pretty much the whole flashpoint only to be stopped by the incompetence of fellow players, buggy mechanics, retarded gorillas aka devs, or a combination thereof. Best part about it, these morons at moron HQ won't see it. They're too damn busy giving us reskinned garbage for the cartel market and passing it off as "new content."| If there was an animal that described the people at BW, it'd be my retarded parakeet downstairs that does nothing but sit in its cage and eat bird seed, creating turd piles an inch high. SMH
  13. Please ignore the cartel packs for one second and fix the bugs that make the game unplayable in some parts.
  14. So yeah, at 2nd boss fight, giant prototype droids and they are one shooting everyone. Bugged. aka working as intended. Needs fix.
  15. The reason why people are complaining about the inflated prices, is because a great number of players took advantage of the credit exploits from the time they were discovered till the time they were fixed. They made probably billions of credits off that. The problem is that bioware nerfed the heroic credit reward, even though players actively do the quests and actually earn. These players were punished, so to speak. However, the players that took advantage of the credit exploits, they were never "nerfed." They weren't fined, customer server or whoever never confiscated their exploited credits, they got off free. They were probably never even found out. So Bioware did the only thing they could think of and nerfed the fastest, most efficient way of earning credits. Punish the player that earns, easily enough, the credits. Through legal and justifiable means. Ignore the player that took advantage of a break in the system and let them go scot-free with billions of credits that hurts the economy far more than all the players that grind heroics.
  16. I did forget to mention a 3rd option... Shame. Easily enough, a player can create additional characters on a separate server. And if they feel so inclined to give the new legacy an edge, (e.g. a legacy main with all class buffs and some extra cash to help out) they could do so. So there you have it, three possible options. heh but still game time = time = money. Have at it.
  17. I think it's actually kind of cool, how choosing light/darkside choices in conversations now has a deeper, more complex result. Rather than the result almost always being the same. I particularly like the idea how it's a server wide? iirc effort whereas whichever of the two is made more, will come out victorious. I think it will inspire more of an RPG sense to the game, which I feel TOR has lost. Yeah, it was kinda weird seeing people pretending when I was on an RPG. but knowing there is a noticeable difference in the game based off of what you've chosen in the past, that will be really cool. However...Many players are already close to, at, or over the default character limit. Which, would require buying addition character slots, or, deleting toons in order to 'start over.' Of course, neither of these paths are required to play the game. When I see this, I sense a plot to destroy the jedi...I mean game. It's another money grab. ***NEWSFLASH*** That's nothing new, but I feel like whoever is in charge of new content and whatnot, I see their audacity growing bigger. Let's examine the two paths I mentioned earlier. 1. Buying new character slots - This can be done either with credits, or with cartel coins. Either way, real life cash and coin were used. In essence, profits are up merely at the expense of changing a player's cartel coin count. Money spent to buy game time, game time spent to level up new characters during event, --> Money spent making new characters. 2. Deleting characters to free up slots. We all have that one or two toons we don't really care about anymore. Face it, you'll probably delete him/her/xer to make a duplicate and re-level up again. I'll probably do that, after I strip that toon of all usable and worthwhile gear/assets. But still! Money buys game time, game time invested in leveling a toon. Money spent making characters. The bottom line is, whoever is in charge got bold and said "Hey, let's recycle the whole game, but add a few achievements, give some decent rewards, and maybe a title or two." This is literally what they have done. They said "In order to complete these achievements, earn this stuff, you will have to invest several hours (more money amiright?) into making an additional eight characters that you no doubt have made before. Double the count of each basic class (jedi knight, agent, smuggler, bounty hunter.) Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to state for the record and the diehard fanboys of these game that this new "content" is a money grab plain and simple. ***NEWSFLASH*** I've known this for a while. Cheers! And happy gaming!
  18. What stats should I really focus on for scoundrel heals? I'm thinking alacrity and crit, seeing as their heals are a bit slow and pukey. Alacrity would make my HOTs heal faster, and bigger healing hitters cast faster.
  19. I went to create a new character, and female toons only have 4 body types. :/
  20. Pretty much. 15 minutes though? That's a bit generous.
  21. My Lords and Ladies, where do I begin? I'll start with the basics. Buffs, stims, class/role, gear, collaborating with other players, and fighting other players. Buffs - Probably the most easily fixed. Based off of my experience, I have seen many players lacking in class buffs and a stim. Granted, a stim isn't that important in 10-64 PvP. However, having one in level 65 can boost your stats quite a bit, and obviously, improve overall performance regardless of role. You can buy stims, greens, blues, purples for dirt cheap at 65. Invest, get some stims (purples persist through defeat, and last 8 hours!) Class buffs are also an easily fixable issue that many players shouldn't be facing. A lot of the time I see players (friend and foe alike) joining the frey with fewer or no buffs at all. Sometimes they are stimmed, sometimes not. Some of these players also have a combat stance/ technique/power cell. Simple speculation and probably the most likely explanation would be that after they died and respawned, they forgot to spam their buffs. Granted some players may not be able to give themselves all the class buffs, but even the endurance buff will make you last a little longer. Remember to buff yourself. If you see another player who is unbuffed, and it is safe to do so, click him and hit your buff. EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!!! Class/Role. Know your class, your role, essentially what you're getting into. Familiarize yourself with the strengths and weaknesses of your class, and know what you're good at. Maybe it's hard to focus a target as a melee, so, role a range class. If your spec is heals, bolster your team by keeping them alive. Do what your spec is intended for. You will be far more effective than trying to do damage while in heal spec. Gear. Probably the most important of my list, as without having proper gear, you will be a sponge for absorbing massive amounts of damage, terrible heals, and every enthusiastic, dedicated PvP player will hate you for life! PvP gear isn't always immediately available when hitting 65. That being said, if you play your cards right, like you should, for your sake and the sake of other players (who take PvP very seriously) you should have done PvP prior to reaching 65. Both for the sake of saving up comms and getting experience in PvP altogether. Prepare for PvP. Both in terms of resources (warzone comms) and experience. Lowbie (10-40) PvP is a farm fest for experienced players. Commendations are a dime a dozen. Again, invest and prepare. 204 (lowest 65 PvP gear) is extremely cheap, and the PvP quests will bury you in comms. Invest and prepare. Collaboration with other players. Probably one of the most important. Working together with other players is essential in winning, or even performing well in a warzone. Chat is your friend, probably your biggest friend. Communicate with your team, let them know if you are going to do anything out of the ordinary. Let your team know if an overwhelming force in coming towards the objective you have. Furthermore, I cannot stress this enough. Difficult to explain, so an example will have to do. A friendly player is capping an objective. There are enemies nearby. Use stuns, knockbacks, or rooting/bindings to buy your team mate more time. Chain lock your stuns to also buy more time. Pay attention to what is happening, how your team mates are involved, and the status of nearby enemies. Use wisdom and common sense to determine the best course of action. Lastly, fighting enemy players. Many players have become accustom to the mindless drones in PvE. This AI enemy will never run away and break line-of-sight with you and they will not back down. They will fight you till they are dead. Players will behave very differently. They will use every tool at their disposal. If they are a dual spec capable of healing themselves, they will stun you, and/or break line-of-sight to regenerate their health. They will try and sustain themselves AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. They will not fight "with honor" range classes will do their very best (if they are skilled) to maintain a good amount of distance between you and them. They will root you and run away if you get to close (sorcerers...) *See Bronn vs. Ser Vardis GoT* Essentially, DO NOT make it easy for an enemy to kill you. Keep moving, use the environment to break line-of-sight with your target. Some melee classes have a channeled melee attack. Continuing to move will make it harder for them to use it (see master strike/blade dance and ravage) as these abilities can do quite a bit of damage. Fellow PvP players, let me know if I missed anything, feel free to add. I saw these as just the basics that apply to every player and every class, a general sense of things per say. NO doubt there are PvP guides for every class and every spec.Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall half the time.
  22. Wondering why there are male body type 5s, but not the female constituents. Maybe I want a big strong woman who don't need no man. I have a toon named "feminazi" (something to aggravate other players in PvP) But I just can't get an accurately sized version. I need body type 5 to match the name of my toon. Plus, I'm not gonna lie. I like big butts.
  23. So, I'm pretty sure hunker down doesn't always do what it says. "Immune to all controlling effects." Yeah right. Bioware, please edit the description and/or put a disclaimer. Thanks.
  24. Like all new patches and the release of new content, bugs are expected to follow. Recently, we saw the implementation of 4.4, another chapter of KotFE and a new "daily" whereas players are able to participate in an NPC vs Player in a gladiatorial matchup (Eternal Championship) I personally think this new championship thing is really cool, and the fights are far from cakewalks like they usually go, outside of HM/NiM Ops and some HM Flashpoints. However, with this new content, comes new achievements. Some of them being no small feat. E.G. <Sprint Champion> Essentially you must complete ALL 10 rounds of the Championship in UNDER 15 minutes. Hard, but not impossible seeing as some players have already gotten it. Nevertheless, I have tried some 25+ times to try and get this Achievement (worth 100 points) and to no avail, have not gotten it. I have had to abandon and reset the entire quest (for good measure) after every time I die. The worst part of this endeavor is the level of ambiguity. Does the timer include the seconds between fights? The announcement made by the announcer? The time it takes to run from the quest terminal to the arena? I've read that it does, and doesn't by players from in-game and on Dulfy's page. It's infuriating. Not to mention on a few runs where I was doing well, the fight randomly reset, or one of enemies that was supposed to die last, died first even at full health, resulting in getting stomped on faster than I have ever before. I just thought I'd tell everyone my thoughts on the matter, seeing there is very little hope that the devs WILL EVER EVER EVER EVER look into minor, non story progressive quest bugs. The devs nowadays are too focused on the cash flow business from the cartel market. A shame. But still, I pay for this game and I have the slightest hope these bugs will be rendered inert. Therefore allowing dedicated players some breathing room to progress in non essential content.
  25. Got the protocol droid HK55 inspired customizations. Put one on c2n2, little while later the customization is back in my inventory. HUH?? Can't find him in my comp/contacts window. Did the same thing for 2vr8, same result. Not that I use them, but where'd they go? Anyone else have this problem? Maybe they became self-aware or joined Mentor's droid rebellion lol. The war against the machines rages. There is no fate but what we make.
