  1. They are not listening. February 15, 2024 and the op is still not revised to story mode level. My guild has done hard mode content. They are the ones who won't keep wasting time with it. I've read the difficulties beyond the first boss and we haven't even defeated the first. That's 8 experienced players in max gear and on voice. The learning curve for the bosses is too steep especially to get through the whole thing in one night. We don't want it easy. We just want it a few more steps away from impossible. Any devs actually read these forums???
  2. I've only played a few DS with intent to be dark. My inquisitor for DvL mission to DS 5 was fun. I am currently working on a DS consular because I was told it was interesting. In some ways it doesn't make sense, though (choosing DS and getting praised for your actions anyway.) Previously when I made a Sith (not sure if it was Inquisitor or Warrior) and wanted to be more DS, I just made sure I didn't do LS choices, but I didn't take the gratuitous DS choices. My favorite was Jedi Knight. I don't think I got to full DS 5, but it is the one that choosing DS had the most affect on conversation / story. How I guided my character though was a channeling of Anikin Skywalker. I see him as a spoiled kid who thinks he knows better than his elders. He initially wanted what he thought was best in fighting the Empire. When he wasn't listened to or appreciated, he fell to the DS and was able to be manipulated. And, since I've always thought it crazy that you have to fight through dozens of troops and sometimes even get bonuses for it only to be told that killing the leader is bad / DS, it was easy to go DS!
  3. I recently made a Rattataki agent and noticed this too. I thought it was strange not to adjust at least the companion conversation, especially since Rattataki is one of the original races in the game. Later additions I could see being only labeled as "alien", but I could see some interesting dialogue in a Kaliyo romance with the Rattataki connection. (Kindred spirits and all!)
  4. For cartel coins. You can unlock it for your account (all servers) in collections.
  5. I've played all 3 classes. Easiest has been commando except for no easy self heal (except for the adrenalin for low health that they all have, but not as effected as Sage healer self-heal). Sage is easy, but hard to master due to force management, but has a free self heal when you need it! Scoundrel heals are good for the easier stuff. I haven't tried harder ops yet on that one. I have done hard mode flash points on my DvL commando and the basic ops. Sage is most impressive when done well / mastered, which I am working toward!
  6. This is exactly what I was thinking! I was getting ready to post that I am excited to hear about more story coming and the wardrobe if it is what Mingal expressed. Then I read all the negativity. So hear are my thoughts. This is a game in the Star Wars universe. What made Star Wars was the combined characters, story, and cinematic effects. What I love about this game is the story, the characters, the artistic effects that have been put in place. I have put time and effort into over 20 characters. I use a few for ops with my guild, I dabble in pvp/starfighter. But what I enjoy most is the story. I don't usually rush my leveling. I enjoy the game. So for me, hearing that more storyline is coming excites me. For playability and enjoyment, updates to the strongholds, more decorations, etc sounds good. Even better, if the wardrobe is actually what I hope it is, I will be a happy person.... and so will many of my guildmates! And yes, maintaining technical playability I'm sure is always a goal of the company. But it seems gamers are fickle, adrenalin junkies who want new content always, many of which rush to be the first to finish.. and then are bored because the thrill is gone. I'm not among them and am happy to have things to look at along the way.
  7. Personally, this is more annoying to me than not being able to give a gift!
  8. I love the idea! With the need to add augment slots and move mods, it's a great expense. I have my favorite look for each of my alts, but I get bored with it. I don't want spend all my hard earned credits just moving mods! I have guild mates that would also like a gear slot with a set of armor in one box to swap to if you have a different role you need to play. They have tank and dps armor or healing and dps armor. It takes a lot of space. So maybe an slot for an alternate set of gear with alternate stats could also be available in addition to the cosmetic overlay.
  9. I have a gunslinger on primarily sharpshooter tree. Majority / best skills are in cover. However, when necessary, I can shoot and move. Plus the aoe can be from either cover or standing. She's 55 now and has some major dps. I haven't done scoundrel or tried the dirty fighting tree, but I love her. I will admit that it can be difficult during storyline leveling solo when you feel like you can't move away from mobs. Corso is a pretty good tank, though if you keep him geared well.
  10. First to Phyreblade: I like your angel names idea. I chose "Angeles" as my Legacy name but had no angel names. My gunslinger was Systa before the mandatory server mergers. It was a random name that sounded cool for a smuggler. She is now Systa'lux after the merger. The lux (meaning light) was from my guild (Lux et Tenebris, which also had to change after the merger and is now Lux Ex Tenebris.).
  11. The only regret I can think of is one I did differently the second time.
  12. Just wondering what effect the first choice had.
  13. Skipped a few pages of response, but had to chime in. I agree completely with the OP. I find the general chat topics very crude. I will grudgingly allow that language acceptance has deteriorated and I have to accept that or turn off chat. Understood. But the topics discussed are very crude. I think it has actually gotten worse since free to play started (in my opinion.) My gamer type: married older girl gamer. My husband and daughters play too. Do I need my daughters to be seeing the crude humor of men? No. Do I want to see it? No. I usually turn off general when I see it starting. Unfortunately, that doesn't erase what has already been said. I leave it on sometimes for Heroic messages or, like the OP, to help new players. But, mostly I wanted to mention something a guild mate ran across: a complaint from someone in general chat about "old people" playing the game. Being a somewhat older gamer, he responded (politely) and got a rude response back. So, yeah, it is younger and / or immature people making everyone else uncomfortable.
  14. To speak from a primarily PVE player perspective (and not having read all the responses) I have to say that while I enjoy PVP casually, I find it difficult to enjoy sometimes. The problem arises when an opposing team is not 10x better (geared, skilled etc) but 100x plus! I have played against teams that I think should really be doing ranked WZ play only! I know they divided that levels so a level 10 isn't playing a level 50, but even my 40+ gets slaughtered more often than not. I don't have pvp gear, but I do get whatever bolster is given. Any solution to this aspect would be appreciated. I know it is sometimes the luck of the draw, but maybe some matching would be in order.
  15. Corso is a great companion! He was the first game romance I followed... and the best still! One of my favorite comments from him was when the NPC where we were rescuing prisoners tried to hit on my character by inviting her to have a candlelight dinner with him. Corso spoke up and said something about "no candlelight! She's allergic to candlelight!" Great, sweet, jealous, lovable Corso!
