Wow! I am a Founder, and the amount of time, effort & credits I've spent re-getting these things for alts is ... ... ... but, now I know! Thanks to all of you! It was fun going through those Collections and pulling lots of emotes, etc, for my latest character. And, I also appreciate the clarification about my new L60+ characters, which preclude me from participating in the D/L event. I am pretty sure that there's nothing legal they could offer me to get me to want to go back and play through the entire storyline, which I've done numerous times. Oh, well .... BUT, I am also grateful for the explanation of that, so I don't have to start wondering what, exactly, I'm supposed to be seeing about the D/L.

I just came back to SWTOR after taking off a few months for Witcher 3. I saw the offer to create a new character at level 60, and participate in the light/dark aspect (which I don't really understand, or feel the need to ... but I digress). So, as I was setting up the new character I got the option for some nominal cost to get him the Revan Holostatue because another of my characters has one. I love having this holostatue because there's virtually no cooldown time and it will buy junk and repair gear. When a mission is going badly, I like being able to repair gear whenever I want. So, then I thought maybe Bioware had decided to make that holostatue like a Treek or HK-51 ... once you get one you can much more easily get one for your other characters. Unfortunately, I've been unable to figure out what menu, etc., I used to add the Revan Holostatue to my new character, so I can tell whether I would be able to get the statue for my other characters. I even bought the Cartel permission to create a new character under the new dark/light arrangement, hoping to be able to get the Revan Holostatue for that one as well, but haven't been able to replicate what I did with my other character. Any 411 on this would be appreciated. P.s. Yes, of course, I can just go the the Revan Holostatue for about $30,000,000 on the GTN but, really, I'd rather not.

Here's what I like about my new Sawbones healer -- the sneak ability. Playing healer means you're not as bad-*** in doing PVE missions. The Sneak ability is wonderful in being able to do solo missions much faster because you get to skip a lot of the fights. And, as said elsewhere, the actual healing ability in a group is pretty good.

I've searched, unsuccessfully. Not necessary, obviously, but would be nice to be able to activate that droid.

I wonder if the same hardware is running the WOW servers as is running the SWTOR servers. Weird that both should be getting ddos at the same time.

I am having the same problem ... a year later!

The message I see on my mission log is: Moff Jiad can brief you further on this droid threat. Travel to the Imperial Fleet, and speak to Moff Jiad (sic) can be found in the Science Quarter of the Mission Deck aboard the Ziost Shadow. I am on the Mission Deck. I don't see any Science Quarter, nor Moff Jiad, nor any indication of where I'm supposed to go on the map. And this is a class quest!

So with 208 gear I tried 3 GF HM FP's. 2 went fine. The other, the group wiped 2x at the first boss, and decided I must be the problem (as healer). So my feeling is that 208 is fine for HM. Blaming the healer is an old problem. But, of course, if anybody dies then they weren't sufficiently healed, so in a way ....

So this is just frustrating. I don't like to join HM FP's on GF if I'm undergeared. The tooltip says 212 level gear, which I assume means an average of 212. I'm still working to get my gear up to averaging 208. BUT -- the HM FP's are listed as for levels 50-65 and it seems impossible to me that anybody at level 50 is going to have 212 avg. level gear. I haven't been queuing for those HM GF FP's. I guess I just need to try it out and see how it goes.

Comment about the TFP's: They have those little blue heal thingies at the tough fights. The wipes I've had on those usually involved people underusing them. So, I end up being the one running around using them, then we usually survive. Misc. blather: l'm coming back to the game after being away for a while, so am behind the curve in figuring out 4.0. I was trying to find out how much gearing I need to do the GF HP FP's. Previously, it was a pain to be trying to do a GF HM FP with people who wanted the rewards but had basic gear. Usually had to boot them, or persuade them to leave. Thanks to the comments here, I guess I'll just go ahead and queue. I've run several tactical flashpoints, and found them harder than the old story mode, but not impossible. All were completed. It is weird sometimes wiping on trash mobs though. Still, when you queue for a TFP, you're signing up to play with whoever signs up, and sometimes they'll need help. Did one this morning with someone who [a] knew a lot, but, sometimes was flat wrong, and [c] insisted on including with each bit of advice some really nasty insults. Really, if you hate people, it makes sense not to play MMORPGs. Most of the time, just being nice & helpful is actually productive.

Boba Fett is the seminal bounty hunter character. I have some confidence in the Wookiepedia community. Boba Fett is described there, "Throughout the many years of his bounty hunting career, Fett developed a strong sense of justice, moral obligation, and adhered to his own code of honor." Later in his life he ended up working with both Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. A character like that would fit pretty well in a lightside Bounty Hunter in SWTOR. From tidbits in the media, I think that fits with the character he's going to be in the new Star Wars movie about him.

This comment is just too weird to pass up. That technology isn't far beyond what we can do here on Earth now.
