  2. I just made a Marauder as well. I especially like the challenging gameplay Marauder seems to offer.
  3. Shock and Discharge which hits as hard as Shock. Doubt it is much use to try follow when Recklessness goes up since it is off gcd.
  4. Let me get this straight. You complaint that some classes have too much mobility/ranged abilities and then complain right after that about Merc knockback?
  5. Powertechs have Grapple in comparison to Saber classes which essentially does same thing as charge skills. Powertechs can do good dps from 10 yard range (Almost 100%) while being 100% mobile. Mercs CANNOT be mobile while doing good dps because their main skills Power Shot and Unload are channeled abilities.
  6. It feels ankward if you do not know what you are doing. Missile Blast should be removed from toolbar at level 10 and only used for PvP prevent capping. Use Flame burst. Here is the mini guide how to not feel ankward as PT at the starting levels: Go Pyro. Putting first few points in to Bursting Flame gives large damage increase to Flame Burst since first tick of CGC always comes with initial application and even more important it makes it so that you can Rail Shot right from the start.
  7. AP burst wont come close the Pyro Thermal Detonator + Railshot burst damage which can be done from 30 yard range for added kicks.

  9. Wrong. It is about preference, just saying.
  10. I played Powertech to lvl 20. Deleted it to start Mercenary because they seemed to do omgwtf damage and Powertech seemed weak. I got my Mercenary to lvl 28, while damage was good I got utterly bored with the missile spam. Now I started new Powetech and are very pleased with the Pyro tree understanding how the class and the tree works and what you are supposed to do to get big damage rolling. IMO All Mercenary can do is sit there and shoot missiles, hoping that they hit their target. Powertech has better utility kit and what I like them most, can adapt to situation having unique advantage of being able to have range advanatage over any class. Facing an assassin or Marauder? Kite them with your ranged nukes and dots and snare. Facing Mercenary or Sorcerer? Grapple them and go on their face with your interrupts.
  11. You will be standing still in PvP especially with all those roots flying out. Your other options are the basic shot or just sitting there.
