  1. The game has a skeleton crew and resources of what it had during development and release. EA is just not willing to do the kind of investment you would expect from a top MMORPG. Remember this game is now F2P, no subscription is required to actually play it.
  2. Bump. Akaavi Spar (Smuggler) and Torian Cadera (Bounty Hunter) are bugged. Please Bioware don´t forget about this issue.
  3. I think the main idea behind this machine is something like this: - Get people to buy packs for the slot machine, let the word spread of how good it is - Reach a certain point, when pack sales have already reached the maximum and are not going to increase, maybe because everyone and his dog already owns the slot machine. - Nerf the hell out of the slot machine = thus making the investment of many players rather short lived. Prepare to make a new rulette machine.
  4. I know this has been brought up before, but i´ve no seen it in the suggestion forum, so i started this topic. HK-51 is a companion available to all players, yet more than half of the playerbase plays as a DPS character, thus limitating the companion usefulness to many players. Treek, the other universal companion, has both tank/heal roles, which explains why she is so popular. In order to make HK-51 compete with her and be widely used, he needs to fill another role other than DPS. I suggest giving him a tank stance and reworking some of his skills to fit both sets of abilities. There is already droid gear for tanking, so creating new items is not an issue. In his dialogue when you recruit him, he mentions that one of his capabilities is "bodyguard", which is exactly what a tank does in game. The stance could be called "bodyguard protocols" in contrast to "assasination protocols" which could be the dps stance. I hope with this change we would see more of HK-51 around, and encourage more players to take the effort into unlocking him. Thank you for your time. Regards.
  5. TORIAN CADERA and AKAAVI SPAR both have 0% basic defense, instead of 5% like all other companions. When is this bug going to be fixed? It has been there for years. Please Bioware don´t forget about this.
  6. The idea is to make available to players of the Republic or Empire, no matter their faction, all the 8 classes availables in the game. The point is to add variety to the existing classes, by adding missing elements like imperial troopers, sis agents, imperial privateers, republic bounty hunters/schismatic mandalorians, fallen jedi, redeemed sith, etc. Adding any brand new class implies a lot of cost in developing story content for it, as well as new companions. The chance of this happening is very small. Instead, i propose to reuse what is already ingame, in order to bring more variety to both factions. This is how it would work, i will use the republic trooper as an example: 1) The player must first reach level 50, AND complete the storyline of the trooper class, including all companion conversations. Effectively this means completing everything that appears on the legacy window for that class. 2) The player must pay cartel coins or ingame credits for this unlock. 3) The player character will get a ship used by other class (in this case, an imperial class) or if not, a reskin of the old one, in order to make it look less republic while in the empire. The player character gear that is faction based will automatically convert to the other faction (ex. some trooper armor may become bounty hunter looking). The devs should add armor sets for the trooper to be able to look imperial like the npc troopers seen ingame. 4) The player will leave the republic and join the empire faction. All conversations will now treat the player as imperial, using the closest match available (ex. trooper = imp.agent, smuggler = bounty hunter, etc.) and where necessary, a line or two of dialogue may be added to reference that you switched sides. Many of the class stories ending already hint at the PC looking to work for the other side. In this example, the npcs would treat you 99% of the time like you were an imperial agent (part of the military) and only VERY rarely would they mention that you are actually a former republic soldier. Voice Acting: the voice actors can be reused, and there is a chance some new lines would need to be recorder, for example: the trooper saying "for the republic" to "for the empire". I´m not sure just how necessary this is, but certainly seems to be an issue worth tracking. Perhaps just the generic lines could serve well enough without going into specifics about faction loyalty. This helps keeps the costs down for implementing this idea. The result we have at the end is a lot more variety in each faction. You could see mercenaries/powertechs BH fighting alongside commandos/vanguards Troopers. They are the same class, but use different animations and gear, so there is no overlap, and it brings plenty of extra flavour. Many missing niches would now be available: do you want to play as a redeemed sith? Say that you really like force chocke, and the idea of playing as a dark jedi, but you don´t like hte animations of the jedi knight class. You can play as a sith warrior and after the story, join the republic, and play as a redeemed sith. There are plenty of examples in Star Wars lore of character switching isdes, even Revan, the icon of this era, is famous for working for both sides, being both a Dart and a Jedi Knight. I really think this would bring a lot of interest to players, have very little gameplay effect (the classes are all mirrors), and solve some problems like the demand for weapons like assault cannons/snipers being faction locked. The devs could plan new content and drops without making republic and imperial drops different, because all weapons would be present on both sides now. I hope this idea does not seem too ambitious to you. i really want this game to do well and attract more players, and i think adding "new classes" (mirror ones) would bring a great deal of interest. Players love to customize their characters, and these changes would make reality many character ideas that are just impossible now.
  7. I´d trade my Blizz for your Risha. I also throw Skadge in as a freebie.
  8. No, i will spend what time i have. I don´t like playing with everything low on my crappy computer, plus the game still has many things to fix. After several months, once i can afford a better computer (and hopefully the game is better optimized by then), i will take another look to see how things are. If by then little has improved then i´ll move on.
  9. No, you can only have CGC on one target at a time. So if you use sweeping blasters and hit 3 targets, and one of them gets the burning proc, the other two won´t get any until the first one finishes (dies).
  10. I would prefer if at character creation, after you pick male/female, you had to pick between another two options: heterosexual or homosexual. Then the game recognizes your choice, and depending on the combination of gender and hetero/****, gives you the adequate flirt dialogues designed for those combinations.
  11. People play the dark side for many reasons, for example most teenagers like being bad guys instead of good guys, because as a rule, most media is always written from the point of view of the good guy. Take the star wars films, the jedi are good and the sith are bad. If you played KOTOR, in the sith academy in korriban you get to know sith that are real bad, but also some that are decent, and when they explain to you the sith code and how it works, well it makes sense. It isn´t black and white like in the films. Many republic characters prefer to take harsh actions, for example kill a dangerous criminal instead of letting him go to save innocents. That would be considered a "dark side" action in the game, but it isn´t your typical "evil for the sake of it" action. When you play empire, specially sith, you have options that are pure evil, like abusing your powers to harm others (sometimes more or less innocent). But you also get other choices to be harsh, take revenge in your own hands (instead of trusting others to fix things), eliminating potential threats instead of letting them go and bite your *** later etc. So as you see, you can be "evil" for the sake of it, in a sadistic kind of way, or you can simply be harsh and ruthless, not letting your enemies escape and taking the more pragmatic option.
  12. Agreed, if you are decided to play on a laptop however, buy something that will let you run the game at minimun (ex. focus on cpu, the video card is secondary). If you are trying to run graphics maxed on a laptop, you will spend way too much money for little actual benefit. After all the main point of a laptop is being able to play "on the move", if you aren´t going to move then a desktop is way better in every aspect. I think something like this: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Xplorer_X6-9100_Gaming_Notebook/ should be able to handle the game on the lowest settings.
  13. I also tried dirty fighting scoundrel, and tried to play it as a 30m/10m ranged character. It was so bad i ended up deleting the character. Simply put scoundrels (right now) are either melee dps or healers, the dirty fighting scoundrel is a crazy mix of long range and short range abilities that just don´t have a natural flow. If you picked scoundrel for the single pistol look (like i did), because you can´t stand the dual wield pistols, then i recommend you roll a gunslinger that use only one pistol, and spec into dirty fighting. The tree works much better for gunslinger than scoundrel. You won´t be doing optimal dps with only one pistol, but at least you can use most of your abilities (DF abilities don´t require dual wield) and you will do a lot more damage than a scoundrel sticking to using 30m abilities.
  14. The princess doesn´t give any title, to anyone. As a male BH you don´t get married to her, you just have sex and then she dumps you. The only one that offers titles (and he say as much: "i will give you a title") is Raffid, the male get knight of alderaan and the female baroness. It is working as intended.
