  1. Oceanic servers transfer hs been ignored. Check this link -- http://www.swtor.com/transfer#servers-list , then click "High population servers and consolidation matrix". Dalborra >>> Dalborra !!! Gav Daragon >>> Gav Daragon !!! Master Dar'Nala >>> Master Dar'Nala !!! The population in these Oceanic servers are not only containing poeple from Australia, also other Asia countries like me, and we have zero benefit on ping in these servers, in fact I have worse ping to Dalborra than to The Harbinger. I moved to here 'coz I thought there are more ppl to play with at my prime time, clearly a wrong choice. Anyway, ping is never what I concern. WoW; GW2; Rift; and dozen of other MMOs I played, they are all sitting around 150ms-250ms ping for years for me from I was starting with UO, then EQ, then Asheron's Call, then Anarchy Online, then DAoC... your name it, I never need a server located next to my house in order to be epic in PvP. Some disadvantage on PvP -- yes. Unplayable -- NO. I can live with ping for PvP/PvE, I cannot live with dying population and long queue. Who care about ping while most of time I can do is waiting on the fleet or farm Black-Hole again the #34,262 times? You like your 15ms ping, okay, no one ask you to transfer, stay in Dalborra as long as you like, your choice. But give people a choice to leave here, 'coz we want to. You can have your super smooth ping "Light" server to play with, I can enjoy my 150ms "Heavy" server. Win win. You don't need to leave, but I am not going to stay for your own benefit. You can stay, Bioware, let me go. I am definitely not a loss to the Dalborra server also.
  2. Do you really believe F2P will save the population?? There is F2P in SWTOR already for a while --- "FREE unlimited trial period to lvl15". If people will come becoz it is free, then how many new player you have actually met so far? There are so many other choices out there, F2P or P2P. Most people choose to play a game becoz it's good, not becoz they can't afford the monthy fee ones. If you have problem to afford $15 monthly, for your family sake, you should stop playing forever, and start working. No matter what game it is. F2P may help a little to slow down the sinking player base of SWTOR, but it will not attract big flood of new player. With F2P, player don't really need to officially unsub the game even if they do not play it anymore, they just do not pay anything for the extra goodies with their dead a/c suspend there forever. It is a trick that to hide away the actual figure of leaving players. I was in Dalborra last night, supposed the busiest AUS server among the 3, it was always 60ish only ppl on the Pub fleet. WZ queue was @15mins best, around 20mins-25mins mostly. Someone said 120ppl??!! Which Auss server exactly? Screen shot or it never happen.
  3. Becoz for some ultimate reasons, we don't have multi-talent-spec. option. So all ppl are forced to run with their one & only PvP spec.. Which is usually not a heal & definitely not a tank. But without cross-servers queue (probably for another ultimate reasons), PvP is not happening neither, along with PvE queue as well. I wonder if the SWTOR Dev. have really played & studied other MMOs before trying to run theirs.....
  4. Becoz x-server queue for PvP & PvE is a standard feature for nowsday MMOs, and should had been in the game already when SWTOR launched at the beginning of the year? Becoz we are still paying the monthly and got nothing to play in game? Becoz GW2 is out, MoP is coming out this month, and RIFT is going to have an expansion before end of this year? But you are right, I should not panic, 'coz my sub for SWTOR will end in this month, cut already.
  5. Actually I approve you are correct. PvE is boring and empty in this game, so all I left to do at end game is PvP. However, from months ago with 5mins pop, then latern10mins pop, then now at least 20mins for a pop (& I have to pray I am not zoning into a already-losing battle). Now I am wasting time on waiting to play more than I can actually play in this game. So, I bought GW2, didn't like it much, then I re-open my WoW subscription and bought MoP. I am not saying GW2 & WoW are so much better than SWTOR, but at least the action in GW2 & WoW is non-stop, by non-stop I mean there is ZERO waiting between PvP queue, not even 1 sec. One battle finish, another one immediately pop up in GW2, hell I don't even have time to go to washroom. In SWTOR, I got to watch TV drama; cut my nails; or surf the web while hoping a WZ pop, no x-server queue in SWTOR is pathetic. P.S. My SWTOR subscription end in this month, and not planning to come back. I would rather play the next RIFT expansion later. Good luck.
  6. Yes there will be. Pay to change your hair I bet. FTP ftw!
  7. Is this a sarcasm?? 'coz point 1-3 are not even a point. And point 4-10 are people complaining what SWTOR is really suck at. I think this must be a sarcasm, okay OP you got me! Good one.
  8. Although I know the "Asia" servers are located in Australia, but I live in HK. My peak time might be 2 hrs behind yours? (assuming if you are an Aussie). It's true that during my 9:00pm-11:00pm weekdays, we got less than 10 on the Imp Fleet, I didn't say all the time, but it happens occasionally, and it now happens more frengrently even. Pub Fleet at least we manage to have around 30ish, but that's not a good sign at well. WZ is not popping. Weekend has more people, but seldom break 90ish now, mostly stays at 60ish. 60ish??... It was always 200+ ppl on the fleet only 4 months ago. The population is clearly declining, and it's not slowly. As I live in HK, my ping to Aus servers is around 160ms-180ms most of the time, but my ping to US servers is only 140ms-160ms, which is even better. Honestly I don't care about ping, I played & PvP in MMO for many years, from average to 380ms all the time in the old days, then 250ms on later games, now 160ms is a bliss for me. I don't find any problem pvping with 160ms. I moved to Dalborra becoz I thought there will be even more ppl to play with in my time zone servers, but clearly it was a BIG mistake, now I am stuck here & can't move back. With x-realm queue, every servers will be benefited, 3 Asia servers can queue together, no need merge. If you still want merge, okay, give an option if you would like to queue "x-server" or "only-same-server", your problem solved, our problem solved. And unlike only 3 Asia servers, all regions all servers need to have x-server queue, no matter there is a merge or not. You can't just continue to kill servers that way, for goodness sake this game is less than a year old, this is very discouraging for many players. We need more than "server-kill" (aka server merge) to save our queue, we definitely & desperately need x-server queue to save the long queue matter (apart from F2P; faster bug fix; faster improvement; more content...etc.). Every other MMO has x-server queue (WoW; Warhammer Online; Rift; GW2... you name it), I really can't see why we don't need it and why it won't be a good thing? So every body is wrong, and only SWTOR is doing right? If I have only 2 hrs to play, I don't want to waste at least 1 hr on waiting. Come on, I am not exhausted with SWTOR yet, I still want to play it, but the long queue is making me playing GW2 more & more. And I am pretty sure it's not just happening me.
  9. I am in Dalborra, the Asia PvE server, some nights at Imp fleet we get only 5-10 people. 50 queue can get horrible pop, at least 15~25mins wait at peak hours, almost never pop for 2 hrs during odd hrs. So I log my alt for pre-50 queue, a "little" better, but not much.. And I want to play my main, not an Alt. If queue is bad after I farmed the BH daily with my main, I am forced to log my alt just for some PvP to do, this is very very disappointing & frustrating. I paid to play, not to wait. I still like this game, but SWTOR is getting more like a single player game instead of a MMO. I finally bought the *cough*GW2*cough*. Although I still like SWTOR better, but without cross-realm, my patience for queuing is thin, I would rather play a game that at least have population to play with, and there is plenty of it in GW2. No x-server queue for PvP & PvE is just one of the dumbest idea in SWTOR. Maybe Bioware was too over-confidence that SWTOR would fill with full population each server? WoW has a LOT larger player base than SWTOR, but Blizzard still need x-realm queue to keep the PvP & PvE active, why on earth Bioware thinks (& STILL think) they could do okay without it?
  10. Yeah, thks for pointing out, I have edited the resolve thing. I remember resolve doesn't stop snare, but didn't pay attention if it doesn't fill up resolve too. Although I think Mercenary is pretty bad in 1vs1 close combat, but I enjoy the constant good dmg which my Arsenal Merenary can add to my team mate. As long as I can hit a few tracers in long distance, then burst with Explo Dart/heatseeker/railshot, I can also deliver some good dmg. Kinda like playing a glass-canon archer/fire mage. Of coz, if Mercenary gets some buff, I could enjoy even more & die less.
  11. Tracer Missile become instant is impossible. But make Tracer Missile & Power Shot castable while moving for Mercenary would help a lot. ...just like lighting spell for Shaman in *cough*WoW*cough*, or spells in *cough*GW2*cough*...
  12. I heard the best Mercenary spec. are either: 1) Bodyguard or 2) Powertech You are only lvl14 young Padawan, it is not too late to turn back.
  13. Firstly, my main is a Sentinel, so I know the pain for being a Mercenary (I have to say Mercenary is the easiest prey for my Sentinel). I have leveled with my Mercenary by WZ exclusively, now just hit 50. I saved up for a WH MH + BM OH, with only Recruit Gears on other slots atm. I tried Pyrotech talent as many ppl recommand it's the ONLY PvP talent. To be honest, I didn't like it. Okay I got an extra Rail Shot for every 6 secs and snare, but the problem I found is Pyro fill up my heat way so fast. If I am full heat = I am useless. I always go for full Arsenal and found I did much better at WZ. I am never a 1vs1 killer, if I got a good melee glue on me, 90% I am dead. But a Mercenary if position right, can deal out crazy range dmg & AoE dmg. Here is what I do, play like a sneaky Sniper/Sage, always stay behind, find a far spot, find a pillar to hide and shot, find a spot which enemy range will LoS of me, tab a lower hp victim or healer then spam my Unload + Tracer Missiles no end. WZ is always busy, ppl won't notice me that quick, stay alert on the surrounding, when I am be spotted, move away ASAP and dump Heatseeker Missile + Rail Shot + Explosive Dart. Most ppl will down to zero hp unless very well geared or have a healer pet. With stun / consussion Missile / knock-back rocket punch / shorter CD Jet Boost, they help me to get away to my team mates or hide in a safe position for self healing up. I don't understand why ppl always says Arsenal is gimp... Maybe I am bad with my Pyro spec., so I have heat issue? Same problem with my Vanguard, I often run out of ammo with my Assault spec., I always find I can do much better with Tactics spec., when my ammo is always plenty, my experience is quite different from others, wierd... I am not saying Mercenary is fine, it really needs some love than most other classes, but I don't think we are unplayable in WZ. Stay behind and add some serious DPS to your melee team mates. [EDIT: snare from Combust Gas doesn't fill up resolve. Thks for point out, my bad.]
  14. Root = you cannot move. Doesn't mean you cannot fight back. Mez = they cannot deal dmg on you, if they put DoT on you b4 or you took any dmg, Mez gone, resource wasted. Knock back = apart from knock you to fire/acid pit, it doesn't kill you, almost all classes in SWTOR has some kind of range atk, put them on you hot-bar and use them. Apart from Stuns, CC is just a CC, they are for controlling you in certain degree but not disable you. In you assumption, if a Sentinel dump all his force into CC, where in the hell he got spare focus to dps you? CC is a standard feature in all MMO, comparing with WoW; Warhammer; Rift...etc., there are already not too much stunlocks in SWTOR, unless you have multi enemies on you, but then what do you expect beside dying in such situation?? So, deal with it, 'coz it's fine.
  15. They are not "space" missions, they are "tunnel" missions. And no, I stopped playing Star-Fox long ago.
  16. Apart from my first char, I leveled all my char by WZ exclusively. I skip all planet quests and never do another Star-Fox space missions, got very very sick with them. Only PvE I do is the class quest and Black Hole for credits. For me PvE in SWTOR is awfully boring and there is zero different from level 1 to level 50, apart from the skin colour of the mob. Although I am more a PvP mind, I could enjoy PvE in other MMO, just not SWTOR. Weird or reasonable? All my chars are sitting at Social-1 I believe.
  17. So I will going to kiss a Wookie with my male Smuggler?? Sexy!!! How about Jawa?? Are they male or female?? Do they have a mouth for kiss even??
  18. You sure it was not implanted from official launch? I played Warhammer & RIFT within 2/3 month when they fresh launched, I think they have cross-servers stuff by that time already, which for me i though this shoudl be a "standard" feature for MMO nowaday. (I played too many MMO, maybe it was introduced after launch, even that, I am sure they have it at the very early stage) It surprise me while SWTOR still do NOT have it after all these months. And still no solid plan for it. Anyway, I ordered GW2 & MoP already, so I guess I might not care anymore... SWTOR was a good game, but well...
  19. RIFT is MMO with a much smaller population than SWTOR, but their battleground queue is alway instant, even at midnight. Why? Because they HAVE cross-server queue build-in right from the launch.
  20. Any class with no CD AoE can load off tons of dmg at the "right moment". And the "right moment" is: The enemy team is dumb enough to pack themselves closely and dance on the red AoE circle the whole time. Were you in that team?
  21. Let put it this way, if any single DPS can take down a healer easily, will you or anybody be willing to play a healer in WZ? Glue a 6-sec-interrupt Sentinel/Powertech to your enemy healer, along with one another DPS, then most healer will be taken care. With just a little team work and cooperation, problem solved. I think PvP healing in SWTOR is "working as intended". I remember in WoW & RIFT, a good healer can never die.
  22. If you can't beat them, join them. Nothing is stopping you. Seriously, my main is a Sentinel, a good Powertech is difficult, but not impossible, they usually have the upper hand in burst, but they also die more than I do, as I have ninja vanish and they don't, so I am fine with their better burst dmg. As well as a good Juggernaut; Sorcerer (believe it or not); Assassin can give me great challenge, but I consider it is balance when I have around 50% chance to lose against a good player. Now Gunslinger/Sniper is a big issue. If they spot me first, mostly me = dead. But I do not complaint, maybe they are the paper while I am the stone.
  23. Welcome to the "Lonely Planet" series, now by Bioware.
  24. Your server must have very bad players. I use it all the time, I also see ppl use it all the time. In fact I bound it on my mouse scroll down button along with another attack macroed following. This is a VIP button for my enemy healers and Sage/Mercenary in WZ -- every 6sec interrupt. Both Sentinel & Vanguard are the King of Interrupt if talented. PvE...... I don't care much, do you really need skill/interrupt to own the NPCs? I just watch TV & chop chop chop w/ my lightswords, it's boring & they die anyway. Just one thing, why in the hell Sniper/Gunslinger can't be interrupted on some of their casting abilities??
