  1. And here I was, thinking no one would ever find out...
  2. I always have sort of a problem with these threads and dont get me wrong on this one. I dont really care about who I play with as long as these people are nice and know what they are doing in the area of gameplay I participate in, and even if they don't I will try my best to help them out if they desire to learn, race gender etc are all a non-issue as I dont think its a rational factor in any relationship. As someone born with autism spectrum disorder my way of thinking is usually more rational than emotional (but dont misread that as not being able to feel emotion) and due to this I simply cannot understand why anyone would treat another person as being different or strange, because these are not rational responses. People who think female gamers are strange and react in a odd way towards them will react to anything in that manner when they are not used to it. Making a thread explaining to said people that female gamers are normal and should be regarded as such will more likely give those people the feeling that female gamers are indeed a rarity as they need a special thread about themselves. It is sadly not in the human nature combined with the way some people are raised to treat everyone as equals and not even a thousand threads about this will ever change that, specially in games that require the internet as the anonymity causes certain individuals to purpously act like they dont accept other players for what they were born as, more commonly refered to as trolling wich I hope your thread will be kept free of. It is my belief and my experience playing games for many years confirms this, that most players will react perfectly normal towards female players and will see them as valued members of their guilds and in some cases less valued members just as any male member would be treated. I hope someday mankind will see beyond the boundaries of race, gender, sexual preference because that day we can finally stop worrying about what people think of us and rather enjoy spending time together.
  3. One of my best memories from vanilla wow is that day when a friend and me duo cleared the 5 man dungeon known as scholomance just because we wanted to see if we could do it. If you want to get the most out of the game you need to find your own goals and pursue them rather than waiting for the developer to give you challenges and yes I do miss those days and when I have the chance I try to find ways to relive them. Those gamers you speak off, they are still around but you gotta look harder to spot one.
  4. Same line of work here, but I would never ever launch a patch 1 day before the weekend knowing that a problem like this could occur ruining primetime hours for europe the next day(they are what 45-50% of the playerbase?), and possibly more downtime during the weekend we don't even know about yet.
  5. I'm just bored while installing Battlefield Bad Company 2, never mind me trololol.
  6. Both grammar and spelling wrong in the same sentence, someone give this man a medal.
  7. Nah man that 30 days is just a down payment on the 30 days you will lose in the future.
  8. Handing out a free month and then this... well played bioware, well played indeed.
  9. Ive been playing combat in pvp all night and the new feel of the spec + master strike makes it very strong now thx to that sweet root on master strike.
  10. You get cash irl by doing very boring work day in day out and its the same with ingame credits, if you want to get fast unlocks you will have to do some dailys every now and then. in about 10 days I made prox 4 mil doing dailys (and not even all of them) on 2 characters so a solo character can bring up 2.5 mil in 10 days easy.
  11. Whats all this crying about working for your gear ? Do you really want everything handed to you on a platter so you can have your full set in week and be bored a week later crying for new gear? If you want a pvp game without gear go play some of the first person shooters around and lately even those have unlockable items you need to grind for that increase your performance. Everytime something is too easy in a mmo everyone cries their eyes out saying they want a challenge and when you get a challenge (and not even a big one compared to some mmo's) you complain you have to work for it... If you want full pve gear you will have to raid alot and if you want full pvp gear you will have to pvp alot its either that or both should be easy acces and that my friends will ruin a huge chunk of this game.

    Ratio: Dmg/Kill

Some players have the ability to heal thus taking more damage than their actual health, another factor is that sometimes you need to run away from a fight where you get a player to 50% health and then you did not get a kill. So the dmg you do overall has nothing to do with the amount of kills you get, the kills shown are merely a way to show the amount of kills you where part of.
  13. I wonder if some of these crying posters are playing the same game as I am cause I dont see how it would take you 4 weeks to get full champion+ unless you did not spend any valor points or did not gain any valor to reach rank 60... I dinged a fresh 50 sentinel 5 days ago and while spending prox 3 mil on gear from the trade network / friends crafting I managed to get close to 17k hp in pve gear allready(wich covers nicely for not having exp yet) while also having bought 3 champion items (offhand+mainhand wep and 1 setpiece) and on top of that I am close to rank 54 in pvp. Now with a bit of luck I could have reached rank 60 next week if it wasnt for 1.2 hitting tomorow and the fact that I have friends who come over sometimes for drinks (damn them for ruining my awesome pvp farm) but I hope you see my point. If you want something in this game you will have to pull your finger out because it is not comming to you for free and you can feel all sour now about having to replace some gear but you knew this was comming for weeks so you could just have not bothered with it since you read the first 1.2 patch notes on the test realm. Yet I play this game for fun and to compete with others so even if I can buy an item today that will be useless tomorow what stops me from having fun today with this item and have fun tomorow with the upgrade?
  14. Right now I am testing a focus/watchman hybrid build and this one is working just like I anticipated in terms of dmg combined with survival, In pve it feels like the strongest spec ive played so far (questing) and I will have to test it in pvp later and will report back on it tho I was attacked on Voss by 2 players my own lvl and managed to kill one and get the other to 20%. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bIbRrZMMZGd0rdbR.1 Its basicly a weaker focus aoe combined with the dot healing of watchman but you build centering very fast to keep it working and when you are low on focus you usually have dots running. I know many people say hybrids dont work for a sentinel but that only taunts me into trying it -edit- Tested it in wzs now and I have to say this build gives me about the same fun as full focus and i live longer due to the healing so its kinda the best of both worlds.
  15. Care to elaborate ? Because I am testing all specs atm and they all seem to work decent with focus and watchman having a shared first place and I cant see anyone giving a proper explanation about how watchman is better that doesnt end with : But I never played focus so I cant be sure. So yeah... anyone actually tried anything else than watchman? anyone tried to play with 2% dot regen in watchman + focus and form switching? If not I have rather have this thread die than getting some useless "watchman is better" comments. Thx.
  16. I am thinking of going for this build once i hit 47 (43 atm) http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bcbZMzZGbRbdbRdGR.1 Second wind or swift slash can be switched if needed ofc but I dont seem to use slash so much in pvp so a more pve based build would ofc exclude second wind. To regen hp I am thinking of switching from shii-cho form on 30 centering to juyo form to get a cauterize in for regen to benefit from it fully (with mouse keybinds for forms) I see alot of posts claiming watchman is the only "real" option but tbh if this works it would make all 3 specs pretty good for pvp and pve once you get close to 50 but it will make it more complex with form switching in combat(wich does not cause you to lose centering btw). I wonder if anyone has tried this and how this works for them.
  17. It is possible he has biochem and sometimes gets the heal while his 15% bonus hp are up from his medpack that would explain a higher crit perhaps.
  18. I played a Scoundrel in the start of the game cause my friends did not have room for another sentinel... now they quit the game and I finally started my sentinel from lvl 12 last monday and now its lvl 42 as of yesterday, I dont think i have had this much fun lvling a class since my warrior in wow. All i can say to you is prepare for alot of keybinds once you hit higher lvl's but seeying you have a juggernaut you allready know this As for the most fun thing... I am not sure yet cause everything is fun but merciless slash at lvl 40 definitely is mindblowing once you get it, the dmg you do after getting it feels like you were trowing rocks at lvl 39 and now have a machine gun.
  19. Exactly, people saying the change to backblast is a buff are very very very stupid and here's why. Old cd 9 seconds New cd 12 seconds Dmg per backblast old 1000 dmg per backblast new 1050 (+5%) time 60 seconds + 6 ( accounts for 6 seconds old gcd time and 5 seconds new gcd time) old 6 attacks (9x6=54) x 1000 = 6000 dmg over 66 seconds new 5 attacks (12x5=60) x 1050 (1000/100 x 5 = 50) = 5250 dmg over 66 seconds time 90 seconds +10 ( accounts for 10 seconds old gcd time and 7 seconds new gcd time) old 10 attacks (10x9=90) x 1000 = 10000 dmg over 100 seconds new 7 attacks (12x7=84) x 1050 = 7350 dmg over 100 seconds time 120 seconds +10( accounts for 13 seconds old gcd time and 10 seconds new gcd time) old 13 attacks (9x13=117) x 1000 = 13000 dmg over 130 seconds new 10 attacks (12x10=120) x 1050 = 10500 dmg over 130 seconds Well as you can see fantastic buff to backblast, I will see if i can make a calculation for the new suckerpunch aswell but don't be surprised if that is a nerf aswell. People tend to forget that backblast also will be given a 5 energy cost wich is an increase in energy use so the energy reduction on suckerpunch is only logical and the new regen option might give u a tiny increase in regen for pve but nothing fancy.
  20. Pfff as if you never used it on that 12k hp gunslinger or sorc when solo defending a base if it works its usefull even if it doesnt take skill or looks pretty, doesn't instantly mean people using it are bad, unless they always use it as their opener ofcourse. Anyway the changes sounds interesting at best and I really hope I dont have to reroll one of my other projects. Hope some of you still stick around my sneaky brethren.
  21. You dont see the big picture here, what you have done is you forced him to use his cd aswell and now he leaves himself vulnerable being forced to vanish blowing another cd. Anyway im off to eat in some fancy restaurant now so ill leave you guys to it, just remember to see the possible steps ahead instead of staring yourself blind on your own idea's.
  22. Ye great idea lets ignore the first stun so u did not break his rotation of deadly blows that follows after it, a good operative might have some more tricks left when you break it early but 99% of them will need a second to think what to do next, thats when you stun them and take range/attack or whatever you do to beat them. you break the 1.5 sec stun right after he uses a second global cooldown and that gives u plenty of time to counter attack. Sure you can wait for the big stun but what if the op/scoundrel against you vanishes again only to stun you once more and kick you after that? wich is a tactic alot of m use to drop heavy targets to 50% , well then you are toast buddy. so ye I feel your pain OP because we get nerfed only because of people who cannot think logicaly and get a 5 sec brainfart after they get stunned, but vs good players we are now lacking some of the spice we needed to overpower them after they see trough our well planned schemes. additionally here is a little scenario that might occur -Op opens up -You break it -You stun the OP -OP vanishes -You pop def cds and use aoe if you have it -OP knocked out of stealth or forced to wait -You regain hp / position yourself better -OP is forced to retreat or attacks you leaving himself weak You gotta think 3 steps ahead instead of using your resolve story's.
  23. I quite miss having a combat log and with it DPS meters to compare my dps with others so I know if I am playing 100% or if I should step up my game a bit, I couldn't care less about being better than everyone else but I do care about being on par with the dps that is required for my class on a certain boss. In world of warcraft there is even a website tracking the best dps-ers around the world and watching that top 200 list on each fight can help you to know the estimate dps you should be doing in your current gear ( also with the help of simcraft for instance), aswell as the kind of dps you can look forward to when you gear up so you can help your guild in the best way while enjoying competing with others for ranks. I dont see how anyone can be against competition unless they know deep inside they will never be able to compete with anyone because they lack the willpower to work on their personal performace. A guild is only as strong as its weakest link and if that weak link can be pushed to perfom better by having combat logs and dps meters then why the hell would you not want those. I love the math comes along with dps management and I love practising hours and hours to make sure I perfom as perfect as I possibly can by any means, so a HUGE YES from me on combat logs.
  24. Actually got a nice idea to try using the DF spec and ill report back if it works. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#701McZhZhrbkrrGdhR.1 Using this talent spec and basicly acting as more of a utility player offhealing and using those upper hands for attacks instead of risking to go in range to use blaster whip.
  25. Your spec mate, I am tempted to try it but I rather not lose the points in endurance and healing recieved/done so wondering how that is working out for you. Atm using this myself http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#7010cZGMGodkbffzZhMb.1 that one is a bit of a pve spec so it lacks the improved stealth etc. but works out pretty good aswell wonder what you say about that one compared to yours.
