  1. Why not? It's not like they mean anything important anyways because they're all 'perfect storm' scenarios. Just a bit of fun and whatnot.
  2. A fair point. Though you also have to realize that eventually, the off server folks will be knocked off the board due to bigger and better gear sets. A weak point, I know, but something to note. Also, there's nothing saying that in a clean slate records thread, people couldn't post up their old records. I'm sure that people still on the server would post up their old records and the thread would be more or less where it is now within a week or two, minus the people no longer a part of Ebon Hawk. I don't know that bolster would've had a whole lot to do with most of those records, but that is a good consideration.
  3. 'Bout ready to just get started on the new server records thread. Yay! But I have a question for you fine Ebon Hawk residents. We have two options for the new thread. We can start with a clean slate and build it up again, or keep it as is and build off that. Do we want a clean slate? The consideration here is that a fair number of the players on our current records list are no longer members of the Ebon Hawk server. We could leave their records as a tribute, or start from scratch to give those of us who remain a fair shot at getting on the board with the community still here. Let me know what you all think! <3
  4. Flashpoint queue times are probably gonna be the biggest issue. This server is excellent for everything else though! The flashpoint thing is because healers and tanks don't pug groups more often than not. Best bet is to find a good guild and attach yourself to a healer or tanks leg. xD
  5. Not to be a total dick to Mort or anything (<3 Mort), but all you had to do was read this line, ML. To be honest, knowing this about you, Mort, I was rather surprised that you transferred to Pot5 at all. xD You're way too chill for the bloodcrazed personality of a PvP server.
  6. I would love to take the responsibility of the server records thread. It would be a honor to carry on such a well done thread by a Hex member. <3
  7. Look up <The Band of Hope> Republic side. Should be what you're looking for.
  8. Will you be handing off the server records thread to someone else?
  9. I got over playing house (or whatever you other adults called it in your area when you were kids) with the neighbor girl when I was 6. I now live playing house cause I'm, well, not 6, and there's these awesome things called bills. When I get home, I don't need a reality check by doing in game what I do in real life. BRING ON THE BOMBS, DAMMIT. Blow up all da things! Play a (semi)hero who takes on (un)important threats with a bunch of other (trivial semi)heroes? Hell yeah! That's what you people did with D&D and other tabletop role playing games, right? How is TOR different? (Besides the purteh graphics.)
  10. But I don't have 1 of each AC at 55 yet! /sob How can I coach people on playing if I don't haz ALL THE THINGS!? O_O
  11. So what you're telling me, someone who enjoys both RP AND PvP to great extent, is that I'm just ****ed. Wow, thanks for showing me that my playstyle shouldn't exist.
  12. Yaaaaaaaaaaay! *tackleglomps and clings to* Our favoritest-est theorycrafter!
  13. Out of guild RP isn't quite as super rare as you make it out to be. However... finding even halfway passably decent non-guild RP is pretty much a miracle, yes. That said, I know for the RP guild I'm in, if someone wanders in and genuinely tries to figure out what's going on (we're usually having some epic D&D style boss fight with /roll and everything), we try to include them best we can. Unfortunately, it's incredibly difficult to bring people in that way when there's 12+ of us in ops group, trying to keep track on our own, and dealing with a plot that's been running for 6 months. :/ Kinda the double-edged sword, I guess. But it's fun! ^.^;;
  14. I kinda doubt they will. Maybe for the first week or two. But I get the feeling there's a lot of more casual PvPers who just do matches for the daily then stop because they don't like 'getting rolled' or somesuch. I'm betting they get a little more adventurous after some of the top dogs vamoose to Pot5.
  15. Any PvP guild worth its salt knows that virtually 0% of all matches are won by a 1v1. It's a team match, which lessens the hurt of inferior gear significantly. Play better than the other team as a team, and quit ************ about your gear. :3 A better team would would suck it up and beat the other team with better teamwork even despite said tactics.
  16. It was not by who was created first. It was by who was played the most. /rant mode on So those of us who made the trek during the 'voluntary' transfers lost names early, then the forced transfers occurred and gave the names to whoever had the most /played. With the voluntaries completely out of the running because they had already changed names. >.> /rant mode off But yeah. For these cartel server transfers, people already on the server keep their name in a conflict, the person doing the transferring loses it and has to rename.
  17. Less QQ, more pewpew and better play. Keep your exploit whining to ticket reports with BioWare, pl0x. We don't need that **** here.
  18. I will always stay. You're all stuck with me! Mwahahaha-err-AHEM. Yeah.
  19. There's a bug with the Scoundrel/Operative group stealth that will occasionally, under proper circumstances, render a character completely invisible except for particle effects and the nameplate. The only way to get rid of it is to either die or use a stealth ability (which not every class has, believe it or not). Not gonna argue morality of it cause I've never seen it happen but for accident. But there it is. I believe there was only 1 or 2 banned for ToS violations waaaaaaay back like... right after voluntary server transfers. The rest so infamously referred to as 'being banned for hax' were banned for poor behavior and conduct. Also, shoutout to Project Mayhem for being awesome! <3
  20. You're the one telling her to commit suicide and you have the gall to tell her off for screenshotting it? Dude... Not okay. ._.
  21. Or they're thinking we're really just **** talking scrubs and they want us to transfer so they can roll us. Take your pick. And boy will they be surprised, lol.
  22. This is all I needed to read. Lowbie PvP is a literal coinflip in results. Nobody knows how to play, nobody cares to know how to play, you don't have all of your abilities, and everyone is in leveling specs (if you can call it that since you only have what, 10 talent points?). In other words, make it to the big leagues (55 bracket) before you develop an analysis of the situation. I'm willing to bet the vast majority of the players in the lowbie brackets don't even know there are official forums. >.<
  23. They ain't talking about forum knowing. They're talking about seeing you in PvP matches knowing. I don't know you either, but I've also only played like 2 matches in the last 2 weeks... soooo that's kinda my own fault. xP
  24. Very true, actually, now that I think about the specs. However, I'd argue that Watchman/Annihilation sent/mara is still fairly weapon damage based, even with the DoTs. The top tier talent is a weapon strike, and a lot of the rage building comes from the basic attack. That's still only 3 specs out of 20 specs (or 24 if you're going to count shared specs as totally different). >.< Not super worth the total defense stacking
